Fellas-

I logged in to the DIS this morning and headed straight for the DISdads page as most of you do as part of you morning internet routine. And what do I see waiting to greet me? A reminder that yesterday was hump day! While I'm sure that girl is a sweet kid with a great personality, may I request that we not post stuff that will give me a heart attack if it is on my screen at work?

I've got a sweet, low-stress job with mediocre pay. It's perfect for me. I don't want to screw it up by accidentally offending someone who may be walking by when Miss Wednesday shows up.

They make screen covers that protect you in that sort of situation. Just sayin':rolleyes1 Maybe we need a "warning click here" option.

:rotfl2::lmao: Yeah, I get where you're coming from there. I enjoyed seeing it, but sitting here at work, I kind of had an "oh crap, scroll faster" moment. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

It wasn't WORK that I had worry about that one. I was sitting right next to DW when that first scrolled by. :rolleyes1

Had a flash-back to DDC XIII

I would love to be at my high school weight as well. Did he also suggest you adopt a pet unicorn?
:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: No, but after our discussion about weight he kind of shrugged and said "well, you're big boned, so I'm not too worried about it, but you really should lose some weight."

So there... proof that "big boned" is a medical term. My doctor confirmed it. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I'll behave myself. This board could really use a spoiler tab to hide stuff like that in.

We just had our mandatory sexual harassment class. Everyone's conclusion was you can say whatever you want once.

I scrolled so fast I still don't know who posted it! Oddly, my eyes were not drawn to the left side of the screen.

Having problems multi-quoting today for some reason so...

Aaron, have a fun trip.

Scott, enjoy the day with your daughter.

Paul, good luck with the surprise. Film at 11:00?

Jim, pot meet kettle. Not that you stir things up around here.

Chris, funny stuff. Don, even funnier.

Andy, did you ask for a medical description for "big boned," or did you just quit while you were ahead?

Busy morning. Heading off to DC tomorrow at stupid o'clock so a ton of stuff to do. The Cheetah is running the Nike Diva Half and I am going up to see the race.

Dropped the dogs off at the vet which is always an adventure. The mutt I didn't want goes insane with excitement when we go there. You would think that he would have some trepidation going to the place where he had that special operation. Last time he was there, they gave him a blanket to sleep on and he ate it. All of it.

I also got a haircut out of the way. Still need to do laundry and pack, empty the fridge and clean up the house a bit. Too much stuff to do so I decided to head out to lunch instead.

At that point, I figured I'd better just leave well enough alone.

Have a great trip and good luck to the Cheetah.

And don't worry about emptying the fridge. Norm will take care of that for you while you're gone.

Agreed. I also would like to keep my job and not have the DISboards blocked by our IT department.

Enjoy! You don't even have to drive on the bridge this time.

"One time, he drank a whole quart of Pennzoil. When he lifted his leg the next morning...Whew!"

I also got a haircut out of the way. Still need to do laundry and pack, empty the fridge and clean up the house a bit. Too much stuff to do so I decided to head out to lunch instead.

The whole blanket? Must have been a bacon blanket.

Good morning. Went to the Dr for a physical. Was told to lose 20 pounds... And it isn't like I've gained 20 pounds since the last time I saw him. I've been at this weight for 10 or 12 years. He asked me if I've ever weighed around 190 or 200 lbs. I said yeah, when I was a freshman in high school. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: I blame my high school football coach for making me put on more weight. :lmao:

Can I blame your coach for my weight gain??

The thread that must not be named!

:cool1: That's so cool! I could never pull off a surprise trip! :rotfl2:

Good luck with the surprise, they are not always easy to pull off.

I think we'll be able to do it. DD is 6, and asks every day when we can go to WDW next. She should be pumped. DS is 2 and 1/2, and will basically just follow her reaction! :lmao:

You'll have to let us know how the surprise goes. When we surprised ours, DD was excited and DS did not do so well at the time. He doesn't deal with change well.:good vibes

Have fun storming the castle

Cool! Hope you can pull it off!

Paul, good luck with the surprise. Film at 11:00?

Thanks guys. We're going to get it on film. Plan is to pick DD up at school and tell her she needs to come to drop me off at the airport. When we get there we're just going to ask if she wants to get on the plane with me (and DW and DS) and go to WDW... Should be fun. :thumbsup2

We've done 3 surprise trips, 2 for WDW and 1 for a cruise. 2 times reaction was good, the other not quite what we hoped for.

‘Afternoon all…
Why is it that I seem to find less and less time to post over here anymore?
Obviously my priorities are out of whack; will have to endeavor to correct that.

Had a flash-back to DDC XIII
The thread that must not be named!

DDC XIII - DIS Dads Evil Incorporated

It had a name...
And we probably should’a know that some type of removal-inator would cause its demise.
:lmao:

Too much stuff to do so I decided to head out to lunch instead.
Words to live by…

Dude... they must not be monitoring well if it's not blocked by now! :rotfl:

Our IT department has been so depleted that they don’t really have time to block much of anything.
We have to do our own monitoring.

As you can see… I’m not very good at that.

Brilliant! I hope they’re thrilled.
Better to try that kind of thing while they still young enough that their first thought isn’t: “don’t act goofy, someone might be watching”. We had a teenager before we got around to trying a surprise trip. The results were rather underwhelming.

2 out of 3 ain't bad. :thumbsup2

Make that 2 out of 4... ;)

Smart move on your part and I will tell the Cheetah. Problem with the fridge is some of the remnants are leftover veg head stuff from DD’s break. By now I don't want to think what they morphed into. Probably would be banned by numerous biological weapons treaties.

Enjoy! You don't even have to drive on the bridge this time.

:worship: A grand philosophy if I ever heard one.

No damn bridges on this trip. And, feel free to follow my example anytime.

The thread that must not be named!

I have no knowledge of that thread and on advice of counsel, I will not answer further questions.

How is Max doing? Coming near the end of his Freshman year. Can't believe the Pirate Princess will be an upperclassman next fall.

Give the PP our best wishes for a great race!

Will do. I can confirm that going out to lunch was an excellent decision. Fried shrimp (seems I am on that kick lately), loaded bake potato, cole slaw and unsweetened tea.

Unloaded the clean dishes, dirty ones are in the dishwasher, laundry going, fridge emptied, and garbage taken out. Time for a nap?
