We wanted to purchase property around WDW. We found some great houses that we would be able to rent as well but the costs of maintaining a house that we used only a few weeks of the year didn't seem smart. All those pesky months bills- cable, electricity, phone, etc with nobody there seemed dumb. So we went and bought DVC.
?
Real Estate is a great investment, if I had the cash. I don't want to have to borrow money and be a long distance landlord - too much risk. Pre-paid DVC vacations made the most sense to me.
We've had an interesting couple of weeks. Work has been a bear, the girls currently have hockey, track, swimming, skating, volleyball and softball going, and last week one of the dads in our parrish suddenly passed. He was a great guy, dad to 4 (oldest is 11) and very involved with the kids. He was only 42. Definitely has added some perspective in our community.
.
It does. Prayers for him and his family.
