Good Morning Darcy. I am guessing a bet would be in order. What does Canada have that you can send me when the Bruins win the series.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

More hockey players!

A little bet sounds interesting, what were you thinking?

That got me thinking... who remembers their first visit to MGM/DHS? I vaguely recall my first time back in 1991. The best memory was waiting in line for Star Tours. Back then the line was out the door with waits up to 1 1/2 hours. The queue was awesome with all the Star Wars props all over the place. It was my first 4D ride and I thought it was spectacular. :chewy::darth:

We first went there in 2000. I liked Star Tours and still do. It was a small park, but we had fun.

Got a call from the Patriots yesterday. They decided to build a season ticket holder lounge right where my seats were. Had to move to a new spot. Good news is we are now more on the sidelines and under the overhang so protected from rain and snow.:thumbsup2 The bad news is another $800 for the seats.:headache: More good news is we get free special lot parking for the 2014 season.:cool1: Just news is we get first opportunity to join in this special lounge. Of course I'm sure it's out of my price range. :scared:

All in all a good move for seat location and future enjoyment. Still not good on the wallet though.

The $800 extra is out of my price range.

Thanks. Am I picking you up on the way? :confused3
??? :confused3

I lost faith in you after the last ordeal.

I actually had to google this condition and found out I actually didn't know the technical name for it.* My daughter suffers from the same thing it turns out.* We discovered this during soccer season last year (she was 11 at the time).* It seemed no matter whether I bought her the best soccer shoes or inserts, she would end every soccer game in tears, dreading the next one.* She didn't even want to walk from the field to the van some games, much less from the van to the house.* She absolutely loves soccer.* We brought her to the Dr. and he said that the issue was in her growth plate, it has not fused yet, and the rubbing of the growth plate was causing pain and inflammation.

I searched online for some kind of relief. I found some foot products that said they were for plantar fasciitis and hoped they would bring her some relief (since the symptoms sounded the same).* I got one of each foot product (BFST and ColdCure).* They worked awesome!! The ColdCure after a game gave her the relief she needed.* As soon as we got in, she would put her cold wrap on.* BFST treatments took a little more time,*but were worth it.* Before a game, she would do a BFST treatment on each foot.* Each treatment is 20 minutes long so we had to plan for her to do those about an hour before her game/practice.* BFST is like doing*a warm up before a game.* It increases the blood flow to the area and helps loosen things up plus gets the blood flowing at an optimum level.*

The effects of the products were nearly immediate.* The relief after her first round was amazing.* I honestly wondered how quickly she would feel relief.* Just by doing that first*treatment, she was not in nearly as much pain after that game.* Not in tears, and just explained that she was tender.* Then she got home and did the cold.* She was almost in tears, and not in a bad way.* She could not believe that these products could have helped her so quickly, then proceeded to ask me why I hadn't thought of it at the beginning of the season.* She has already started treatments again while waiting for this years season to start. I would definitely recommend these products if she can't find releif.

She should have just rubbed some Bacon on it!

Thanks! Yeah, it was about 2 years here... Would have been longer but the new opportunity is too good to pass up. It's a VP role with a big BioScience firm. I'm excited. :goodvibes

Yeah, so I guess I could definitely be available for some more lunches; say on Sundays during the patriots games, maybe in that new lounge??? :confused3

VP sounds like a good position, good luck!

We can definitely plan a day at the game. The wife doesn't go anymore, DS usually goes to the first game. Other than that, I am taking bids.:rolleyes1

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Or listen half the time.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao: Let's see....We can come up with a local exchange like the governors do. I got lobster, clam chowder, boston baked beans. What have you got?

Canadian Bacon of course!!

Come on now, I let Darcy get away with the silly hockey players comment. We all know that even the Canadian players leave the country to play hockey.:lmao::lmao::lmao: There is no way Canadian bacon counts as bacon. There aren't even any U's in the spelling.:rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2:

:

Several of them big crawdads made it to KY, but they weren't carrying clam chowder. :lmao:

Those lobsters are excellent. Really, make the deal.

Morning guys. :coffee:

Packed almost everything up last night. We'll need to just finish up tonight and then wait until tomorrow afternoon to surprise the kiddos with the trip. Hope the surprise is a good one!
Have a great trip! Scott did a good job not burning the place down.. I expect the same from you. :cool2:

Back after several days off the boards. Trying to catch up. Prayers to those in need, congrats to all celebrating and will someone please do something about this rain pattern in our weather. I'm about to grow gills.
Sun just popped out here and temps are rising. I'll take the rain now… just hope the end of the month is dry.

First time on Star Tours was 2008. I was a little leery of the refub but I think it is great. Love all the different scene combinations.

Well that was nice of them. At least they offered you other seats.

Bioscience? Can you break down the composition of a Dole whip?

Yeah, so I guess I could definitely be available for some more lunches; say on Sundays during the patriots games, maybe in that new lounge??? :confused3
Well played. :lmao: :lmao:

I've heard of this before. It's called "being married".:rotfl:
::yes:: :lmao:

Yes, more bacon.

:lmao::lmao: Let's see....We can come up with a local exchange like the governors do. I got lobster, clam chowder, boston baked beans. What have you got?
I was just told on FB lobster isn't 'ours'… I guess because it has the word Maine in front of it.

Well our lobster is better so that's not worth it. Maple syrup, maple butter, maple candy, fiddleheads, atlantic salmon.

If you are taking the Habs, all bets are off. :lmao:

Well, Norm and I placed a little bet on the Men's Basketball National Championship game. His Kentucky Wildcats -vs- my Connecticut Huskies. We placed the same bet in the NCAA tourney a few years ago too. Back then Uconn played an ugly game but pulled out the win and Norm, being the upstanding DISdad that he is, sent me some Kentucky BBQ.

We bet again this year and guess who won the 2014 NCAA National Championship?

Today I opened the front door just before lunch and there was a package waiting for me.

A nice hand written note from Norm….

Inside to packages of some good 'ol down-home Kentucky BBQ!

I opened the beef BBQ and it was goooo oooooo ooood!

Thanks Norm for the BBQ! It it really good! :thumbsup2

I lost faith in you after the last ordeal.

And I lost my faith that people in Kentucky would at least know the person whose car they jumped into while speeding along... Still haven't gotten that guy out of the back...

VP sounds like a good position, good luck!

We can definitely plan a day at the game. The wife doesn't go anymore, DS usually goes to the first game. Other than that, I am taking bids.:rolleyes1

Thanks. I'll place a bid; If you take me you don't have to take CJ. :thumbsup2

Bioscience? Can you break down the composition of a Dole whip?

It'll be my first task!

We'll have to have them strap on the backpacks next time.:thumbsup2:rotfl2::rotfl2:

The new seats are actually a better location and the free parking will save about $500-600. That almost covers the first year increase in the tickets.

Well, I can assure you that the lobster I am sending are absolutely off the coast of MA. The fisherman is a friend and he fishes our area. I'll let my buddy know he is actually catching non resident lobsters that are on vacation.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well our lobster is better so that's not worth it. Maple syrup, maple butter, maple candy, fiddleheads, atlantic salmon.

I'm taking the Bruins.:thumbsup2 Not really sure what a fiddlehead is, but I have been called one before.:lmao: Maple products are yummy and we are not going to Vermont this year.:scratching How about Boston Cream Pie from the North End? If you can come up with something better, let me know. Obviously your buying me lunch when you come down in July so that is already taken care of.:rotfl2:

Bet is on then? We can quibble over the spoils during the series.

Some of that there BBQ made it into MA a while back. It was really yummy. We even ate the mutton.:good vibes The pork is clearly the favorite in my house. Enjoy your victory dinner. I plan on celebrating in a week or so with some spoils from Canada.

Thursday ownage.

I was just told on FB lobster isn't 'ours'… I guess because it has the word Maine in front of it.

That wasn't me on FB, but I didn't know there were Conneticut lobsters. Only Maine lobsters that swam to Boston. :lmao:

I really like lobster. KY doesn't have a great fresh shellfish selection.

Well our lobster is better so that's not worth it. Maple syrup, maple butter, maple candy, fiddleheads, atlantic salmon.
:

Or, you can trade penguins.

DW remembers everything I say......

EVERYTHING....:rolleyes2

I think they only pretend they remember all the bad stuff we do or say.

You're welcome, although I hate that we lost again to you. UL smoked UConn and UK beat UL twice, so I thought I had an easy win. Congrats. That isn't my handwriting though. There was a place on the website to enter a note. I figured it would just appear on the invoice. Good thing I didn't t write anything nasty,, as the girl who wrote that might be as cute as her handwriting.

And I lost my faith that people in Kentucky would at least know the person whose car they jumped into while speeding along... Still haven't gotten that guy out of the back...
!

There's your mistake. It wasn't a guy from KY. You must have picked up a transplant. A Kentuckian has to get out of the car to go shoot something - it's our state law.

Thanks. I'll place a bid; If you take me you don't have to take CJ. :thumbsup2

Like you really want to go to see them lose to the Dolphins.

On the BBQ front, man I am jealous. Would kill for some good BBQ right now. I won't enter into the lobster debate because we really don't have them down here. They call them lobsters and while they are tasty, I fully admit not up to the real thing. We do have stone crabs that will knock your socks off.

Spent the afternoon making FP+ reservations for the June trip. Starting Monday - MK, Epcot, MK, AK and DHS. We are venturing into DHS during Star Wars Weekend but will have a break from the crowds with lunch at the Brown Derby. Got every FP I wanted and at the time I wanted them with the exception of the Frozen meet. No Elsa meet up this trip.

Morning guys. Prayers for all those who requested them yesterday and in the coming weeks!
Enjoy your trip sir

Not too bad of a deal

Well they don't have any "cups" up there these days, pretty low on playoff teams too ;-)

Last day of convention and traveling home tomorrow and cannot wait to get home and be able to watch my Blackhawks. Rain stopped and studios was pretty good last night - we all know how Disney does it but I have been to several private events at the parks and boy do they rock - special fireworks show for a private event and you cannot beat an open bar every 50 yards. Special concert / closing event tonight with David Foster, Ne-Yo, Adam Levine (Maroon 5) & Sting. Here's some pics ya don't see every day from last night

.

I would be happy to see any NFL team play. I'll be happy to eat any of your lobsters. I had a Florida lobster at Ocean Grill near the Disney VBR and it was good. You would have had some of that BBQ had your FL team(s) come thru. We'll try again next year.

Not sure I would be looking to return home so quickly, but it looks like you're having a great time.

Drive down and we can catch a game, tickets are always available. We can also have Florida lobster. Good stuff but not as good as the northern bugs. Bring some BBQ and we can have an exchange. As to the wagers we made, I would rather have cocktails than food stuff, no mater how tasty. October is getting closer every day.
