Sunday evening hello. Busy day with yard maintenance, pruning, trimming, dead heading, cleanup, etc as we will enjoying DaWorld the next two weekends. Laid out all my clothes for Disney and packed up for this week's business travel - golf to sport coat attire and packing up the clubs. Have a good week gents.

Evening Gents!

Got back from our cruise last night around 10, had a quick sleep and headed for Moncton for Declan's soccer game today. 1-1 draw and another 2 hour drive and we are finally home to stay...for awhile.

Had a great time on the cruise and thanks again Jim for the great seats at the Red Sox game; we all had a great time at the game.
Sounds like a great trip and great meet up
That's unfortunate, but self-induced. When my wife and\or kids are gone, I get a big 'ol steak and cook it to my liking since I don't have to worry about my DW yapping in my ear about salmonella, trichinosis or some other food sickness!
:thumbsup2 Boy does that sound familiar.
Morning guys. Trip to the mall was a success, everyone behaved. The kids LOVED the Disney store!! There was way more Star Wars merchandise than I expected. The girls got shirts and the boys got some new PJ's. All we got at the Lego store were the mini figurines you can build. Both DS's have b-days coming up, so I used the trip mainly as recon.
Glad everyone had a good trip and took home some treasure:)
I think I speak for most of the dads here when I say that we think you should wear pants to dinner and anywhere else that you go.:rotfl2:

A great World Cup match. Messi had some opportunities, but Germany played better as a team.
Yeah, not a bad game and a great goal to win it.

Morning Guys.

Monday morning and I am back to work. Why do I have so much email?

Morning all. Rained last night so the network is down at the office. Looks like another hard day of work for me. :lmao:

.

Sport coat? What you got planned? Is this for cruise or V&A or something else?

Morning.....5 days till I get two weeks off :cool1:

That's a good trade off. It should be a monthly thing.

Because that stupid company president didn't hire someone to manage your emails while you were gone. :lmao:

Network down, you guys using satellites or something to run your network?

Email manager, that sounds like a job I could get the government to fund.

Voldemort is Harry's dad. C'mon, you saw it coming.:wizard:
This better not be true.
That is lots of bad news there. Maybe you can use the other other two boxes for target shooting and eat the bratwursts today. Spoiler alert- there is some new Harry Potter ride at Universal now. :lmao:

I'll be putting the other two boxes in the food pantry at church. Yes I heard something about the new HP ride. The line for it stretched all the way to my yard.

:wave2:

Been a few days since I checked in here. I was stuck in jury duty for 2 days. Lesson learned: if you want to accuse someone of stealing your stuff, you may want to have proof that you actually owned the items in question. Or that those items even existed.

This better not be true.
And Hermoine is his twin sister (she looks great her metal bikini in book 4 after Hagrid makes her a slave), Ron turns out to be a smuggler with a broom that can make the Kessel run in under 12 parsecs, and Dumbledore finds out that It's A Trap!

They kind of ruined it for me though when they went into the whole explanation about Harry having more magical powers than everyone else due to the high mugglechlorian count in his blood cells.

Paul is afraid of Kentuckians jumping into his car as well. Glad you made it home. How was the cruise?

Who wouldn't be??? :confused3

Is it Monday already?:sad2::sad2:

DS baseball season finally came to an end yesterday with a 3-2 loss. After going down 3-2, the starting pitcher was pulled and then DS pitched the last 4 innings and only gave up 2 hits with 4K's to keep them scoreless, ending the season with an ERA of 1.24 (last 18 innings he only gave up 7 hits in total and 2 earned runs with 13 K's). Overall a good season (although a little long) with a great group of teammates.

Anyone want to buy a LeBron Heat jersey? It is going to be a collector's item.

But you guys signed Deng to replace him. Can you say new big three? :rotfl2::rotfl2: DS got an Orlando Magic jersey in the mail this weekend. Didn't even recognize the name. You should save that shirt for when you have grandchildren. You can wear it and tell them the " when I was your age, we had LeBron" stories.:thumbsup2

I apologize, I'm to tired to multi quote. Congrats to Norms DD, that's an awesome accomplishment! DD and I are worn out, she won't be waking me up at 4am this time. lots of water park fun, proud of DD for doing a lot of the water slides with me. Also spent a lot of time running around the 4 floors of the lobby playing a magic quest game with DD, she's passed out and I'm not far behind. Such a quick but fun trip, we will wake up, pack and then eat breakfast at the "loose moose" has to be a few jokes in there. Then drive home.

Sounds like a great trip!

Damnit man! :lmao:

Happy Monday Morning to you all Dads.

The 10 days of the Calgary Stampede have wrapped up as of 10 hours ago (Sunday midnight). It's a great party througout the city and it is very odd to see everyone walking around in their proper business attire downtown today.

I made it down to the grounds to watch two nights of Chuckwagon racing (Cowboy NASCAR) on Friday and Saturday night. I will try to post some video. It's a lot of fun all around. DW and I go with the same couple every year and watch the Chucks and the Evening Grandstand show/fireworks which is always entertaining. Heck, it's a good excuse to sit out on a summer night, watch races and drink beer!

Lots of excellent, fried and BBQ'd food on the grounds. Including one delicacy that I believe is DisDad approved: Bacon wrapped pork belly. Yum!

Little known fact, none other than Walt Disney himself was the Parade Marshall for the 1965 Calgary Stampede Parade.

Yesterday I wrapped up the Stampede by watching the final day of the Rodeo and the final Chuckwagon races, all from the comfort of my own couch with good cold beer in hand. Amazing to think the top prize for these cowboys and cowgirls is $100,000. Richest payday in Rodeo.

I know I am biased, but I think many of you Dads would enjoy making the trip up here some July for the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

Now to catch up on all the work that fell by the wayside.....

RW

Hi guys! Remember me?

Just checking in, couldn't believe this thread is still active.

Life has been providing me with "alternative plans" lately.

Dealing with staffing issues at work, travel softball is in full swing for DD1 and DD2 decided that she wanted a cast for her arm one day at gymnastics. It's been a rollercoaster lately.

Glad to see everyone is still here.

We're heading north in a couple weeks to visit my family and friends in Edmonton, looking forward to a little decompressing time.

While I was scanning the recent posts this made me LOL:

I made it down to the grounds to watch two nights of Chuckwagon racing (Cowboy NASCAR) on Friday and Saturday night.

I've never heard of Chuckwagon races described so accurately. Well done!

Hopefully I'll pop back in here more frequently (don't hold your breath) but you all can still catch me on the Book of Face.

Prayers for those in need, Praise for those deserving, Bacon for all.

Well done DS!!

Not a big deal to the rest of you but SEC Media Days start today. Even though earlier than years before, this marks the beginning of the end of the doldrums of summer and the beginning of the college football season. Can't wait until the end of August.

That's it, I am not going to go to Fenway with you! OK, that is a lie. Getting close.

Riley has a plan based on a new TV agreement coming in two years. They will be competitive but he is waiting for the floodgates of free agency to open then. Still will kick the Celtics behind.

Happy Monday Morning to you all Dads.

Sounds really cool. I would like to say one of these days, but probably will have to see it from afar. Looking forward to the videos.

Hi guys! Remember me?...

Kind of. Didn't we meet at an Indian restaurant once? Sounds like things are going well with the family. Give my girl a hug and let me know when you are next down here.
