Thank you, looking forward to it, unless a friend or one of my parents decide to come with DD and I, ill be doing Disney World Baby sitting during the 10 miler so prob wouldn't do more then the tower of terror after the race and an early Sunday morning flight lol

With the race being late at night, you may want to check if the Disney World Baby sitting service is limited to certain hours. No idea if they are or not, but something to check out.

Whoo hoo I'm first this morning. So Sunday at about 1530 the power went out.... while not a huge deal still inconvenient. The real problem is that I live in a "community" and everyone rents. I called the Leasing office and got a call back saying "we know about it and are working on it." My first thought is ok power company should be out in no time and we will be back in business.

I could not have been more wrong. It turns out that the issue could not be fixed by the power company and it had to be fixed by the leasing office. Yet again not a huge deal if they had done it. At 2200 the FB page for the leasing office informed us that the power would not be fixed until the morning..... I had some very choice words on that subject. Mainly it is poor customer service to leave your residents w/o power then go home for the night.

So they went home and we had no power for the night then because of that DS slept like crap and surprise surprise DW and I did too. In the morning the housing office informed us they were working on it but they had no time table available (insert more choice words here). Fast forward to about 1730 (over 24 hrs later) while DW and I were talking about bailing to the In-Laws the power finally comes back on. We had to replace pretty much everything in the fridge/freezer.

I am most mad that if the power company had been the one to fix it we would have had power back in at most 3-4 hours and the housing office is not taking responsibility for not fixing it in a timely manner. I think it is time to really look for a new place to live.

Hey at least you have a good attitude about it.
Yikes. As much as being a homeowner and having that responsibility fall on myself if something like that happens, I think I'd rather have that than have to wait around for someone who is less motivated to do it for me.

Good morning guys and hope all are well. Had a great meet with Chris during keys to the kingdom tour - again happy 40th Chris.

Nice job! Now on to Aloha Isle!

Good morning guys. :surfweb:

Back to insanity today. Looks like 2 inches of new snow to clean things up after being gone for the week. I have not looked at my work email in 8 days... Guessing about 800 emails will be in there. :badpc:

I should have taken the DME driver up on his offer: "Ok folks, this is your last chance. Just stay on the bus and I'll bring you right back."

Barricade yourself into your seat. Defend it with your life until he turns around.

‘Morning all…
Glad you got to meet up with Barry’s clan during their “Amazing Delaware Vacation”.
So what did you treat them to that will have them remembering that part of the trip over those rather insignificant side destinations?

Key Lime Pie of Awesomeness.:thumbsup2

Yea I've been thinking about calling them, I know they do charge more after 10PM but not sure if that covers till 1AM

Update: just got off the phone with them and its an extra $2 after 9PM and they do run past 1AM, thank you for encouraging me to call because I have been meaning to call them an find out for sure.

Had my chuckle of the day. A voice message was left on my phone from the Miami Marlins. "Hi this is... I was looking at your account and we have some interesting options for you..." Felt bad for the guy on the phone so will not call them back to tell them why I am not interested.

Thought for the day: "If you think your job is bad, imagine you were a season ticket sales rep for the Marlins."

That sucks man. I'd be looking at a new place too.

I'd just let it melt. The way that storm was tracking, I though you would have A LOT more than 2 inches.

Good luck getting caught up.

You may want to call them back; There's a good chance the Marlins will pay you to take the tickets... ;)

Or they could be looking for left handed pitching. Are you left handed? Or can you pretend to be?

(There ya’ go... sorry you need it in this instance)

Thanks. I kept meaning to copy that one.

Both my kids can throw left handed. So you're saying college is covered?

Possibly. Just remember - schools located in warm areas tend to have better baseball/softball programs. Steer them towards schools in Arizona and Florida. Then move there so you can pay in-state tuition. The sacrifices we make for our kids....

We were expecting a bit more as well. Was too warm and a lot melted. Was pretty icy under the snow this morning. It was 8pm before it started to stick.

Darn. I'm available, but only as a right handed pitcher. Maybe they'll let me park my camper in front of the stadium. There should be lots of room. :lmao:

One of DW's coworkers went to WDW last week and returned with a Mickey Apple for DW. I ate some to check for poison. I think I'll have to see if I can have them shipped here on a regular basis. Yum!

That stinks. Moving has some costs as well. Good luck.

And that’s a good method to be sure (and I’ll agree… probably a smarter one).
Actually, I like to write them up afterward because it’s a narrative that I do for myself and family. I just happen to use The Dis as the format for doing the work. It’s not like very many folks every bother to read up on them anyway. I also like working out how I want to tell the story, I’ve just gotten a might overwhelmed these past few months, but I think I may be getting to a spot where I can get back at them now..

I enjoy doing them, and I am writing them for later for memories.

Same pay, different job. It might be a little less stress, though. So I have that going for me, which is nice. It was a chance to do something new and get away from the stress/burnout of the old job, and get that "diverse experience" everybody always wants from me when they shoot be down for promotions.

Less stress. That is good.

Howdy fellow dads, It's official, have ToT 10miler registered, flights booked and now SSR studio booked for Oct 2nd-5th. I feel like I booked this one completely backwards so now gotta research Disney again since it looks like quite a bit has changed in a year, and I feel like I know nothing about Fastpass+.

I did my FP+ for the first time. It was easy to do on the MDE App. I had actually thought about a couple different options of theme park touring, and it lined it up with one of my plans. So. I selected it. I'll see how it works next month.

Spent a lot of time at the dentist today.:headache: Last night I was biting into a tortilla chip and one of my teeth broke. Yup, just broke. Had to have it fixed this morning. Took about an hour. Then DD had to have 2 teeth pulled at the recommendation of our orthopedist. :( I was cringing when the time to pay came and surprisingly it was only about $140 for both of us. I guess we have pretty good insurance. Still hurts a little, but at least I'll be able to chew solid food again tomorrow at lunch. DD says it doesn't hurt and was very brave. Even went in alone to have it done.:thumbsup2

Here's hoping you get some Spring to enjoy sooner rather than later. :wizard:

We warmed up today which was nice. I spent 5 1/2 hours on the road drinking coffee and listening to the radio for a 90 minute meeting. Only crocuses blooming so far, but the daffodils are close.

Looking at rain ahead of the spring warm up expected later in the day. Hopefully it stays this time.

OK, so I was going to say something, but everyone seems to have gotten the point across already.

They are practically paying you to take them anyway. Opening Day will be on Groupon again.

Throw right, bat right. Good glove but only hit for average. I may hold out for a Managerial position though.

Norm, the problem is the ballpark's location is in a neighborhood so no open parking lots. They do have a couple of garages. You can get a spot on the roof so you can pull out your lawn chair and get some sun. If you offer to buy a cheap season ticket, they may throw in year round parking.

Morning guys. We had a strange occurrence again yesterday in Northern Indiana. A large yellow sphere was shining in the sky. It wasn't in Indy so it must be some weird space phenomenon, lol

Those tricky aliens and their yellow sphere! Good morning! And good morning fellow dads!

Morning Guys.

I think the school people here are getting a little nuts. We have a forecast that calls for 6 inches of snow and then rain later this afternoon. School was cancelled at 6 am and there is almost no snow falling as I type. DW just laughed and rolled back over when the radio made the announcement.

The school's here have been a little quick on calling off or having delayed openings also:dance3:, since the beginning of the year there has only been 1 week so far that has not had a snow day or a delay due to snow (or slight chance of snow:scared1:)

There must have been a lawsuit somewhere that the school's a so quick to cancel or delay:confused3

I heard that they are talking about another storm sometime next week:sick:

The only thing keeping me going with all these snow storms is 33 days till WDW:woohoo::thumbsup2:banana:
