It truly is it's the only way we could afford a deluxe for the May trip..... Not to mention that the May trip is only possible because of taxes.

That is very true, short trips are a blast but still bum me out because of course it's over quicker, but I feel blessed to have the opportunity to be able to go and spend the time with DD making new memories

Just remember that coming home just means it's time to plan the next trip. Safe travels. It looks like we will be cold for another couple of days here and then in the 50's later int he week. I think we finally are past all the snow and heading toward spring. Fingers crossed.

Got the second quote on getting the car repaired and it is just under $900 which is better than the $1600 the dealer was going to charge. Since the first $1K is mine I guess I will "save" $100 and go with the guy the next county over. SWMBO is wondering when we will get our money from the guy that hit us. She wants to hire a lawyer and sue the guy, which would end up costing us more than we could get since he has nothing. Cold, rational logic just doesn't seem to run through her thought processes.

I could rant about Paypal as well, but it isn't worth it. I've used it less than two dozen times and am going to cancel it once I get the latest $20 mess straightened out.

Hello Boys.

Back from our week long adventure on the east coast. Had great meet-ups with Mark, Randall and Eric along the way. Saw all kinds of awesome stuff in Philly, Baltimore and DC. Hopefully we taught the kids a civics lesson or two.

What struck me the most was that on Tuesday, we saw the original Wright Brothers "aeroplane". On Friday, we saw the Space Shuttle Discovery. We've come quite a long ways in just over 100 years.

That sounds like a heck of a fine trip there. I’d ask about the TR for the expedition but I suspect that you’d be hard pressed to find the time for such given your current job constraints. I’d love to see a few pictures though if that’s possible.

Thanks. I haven't done my bracket yet, but I think I'll have UL winning it all again. I like UK - a lot of talent and tweak - but need to see the matchups. I may have them in the Final Four. But, I'm kinda biased.

You could do much worse than going with UL again.
I have them up to the finals, but repeats, while not impossible, are tough.
So I couldn’t go with them winning it all (a decision I may well regret).

Last I heard, we had 6 or 7 families officially committed, with at least that many (including my own) still on the fence.

Afternoon gentlemen,

Just hopping on real fast. Since no one was home the last 10 days the house looks like a tornado hit it. So you can guess whose job it is to fix. Funny weather today. I've got clouds and DH2Mamaduck, who lives about 70 miles north of me, is going to have several inches of white stuff waiting for him when he gets back to the frozen tundra. I'm ready for spring. I've already burned through last year's left over charcoal. I haven't seen it out yet at the local grocery store.

Anyway, I can confirm a FreezinRafiki sighting last week during their Amazing Delaware Vacation (with side trips to D.C., Baltimore and Philly). We had a great time with Barry and family!
