Hey, everybody knew how Titanic was going to end and it seemed to be somewhat popular.

Way back when Titanic was in the movie theater, I was forced to go see it by my new wife (back when she could do such things...:rotfl2:) Anyway, I was a Homicide Detective, and my stupid pager went off and caused me to miss the only part of the movie worth seeing....

I was NOT happy...

A couple of head scratchers from my perspective:
Only 3 FP per day? If park hoping does ya no good for one of the parks
Grouping attractions which results in not being able to select Soarin and TT on the same day and not being able to select RRC and TSM on the same day?

For those that were there this past weekend am I missing something? :confused3

No, you're not missing anything, and yes I think it sucks....
anim_chainsaw.gif

I blistered them for this on my survey....especially since I was there, they initially told us we couldn't pull paper FPs since we had Magic Bands (which turned out NOT to be true), and I really lost it when I saw you couldn't get FP+ for Test Track and Soarin' or TSM and RnR on the same day. I found that mind boggling.

The app crashed multiple times while was there, then would lock down and you had to walk (sometimes across the park) to a kiosk to "unhose it". We had a few problems on entry, but never had a problem paying for stuff on the MB (go figure).

The other complaint I have is I think three is waaaay too few...just my opinion. Also, I think it's dumb you can't set FP+ for two parks...so why spend the extra cash on a park hopper.

When we were there in November we were able to use FP+ and Paper FP, which was ideal.

I honestly think the FP+ system is a solution looking for a problem.

I had the chance to review some journals I started for the kids when they were born. Just a few random thoughts and it is interesting to see where the the time has gone. It had been over seven years since I had written anything and I was complaining about gas being $2.25 then. I'm going to try to get back into it again this year and see if I can keep it up on the off chance they are interetested later in life.

We do this too. We write down funny things they do or say or just thoughts that DW and I have had about them. We plan on giving them to the kids as wedding presents.

Also (and I think this was a brilliant idea by the wife) we have notebooks for each of our two older kids - the youngest can't read/write well enough to make it work yet. We never talk about the notebooks, but we just write a note to the kid, ask questions, whatever. And we just leave it on their pillow. They love it when they go to bed and find the notebook. They write notes back to us and we go back and forth like that. It gives a great window in to what the kids think about, worry about, fear, what their friends are like, etc.. Also it's a good tool to practice writing skills which DS needed.

Cause they dont sell beer in the MK :confused3

Made it back finally. Not much excitement except a FLAT TIRE. Got the nuts loose and was starting to crank it off the ground when a Road Ranger came by. He pulled out his Nascar lift and the car was off the ground in two seconds. I replaced it with the spare and was out of there less than 15 minutes from the time I first pulled over. I would still be there using the hand crank if he did not happen by. Now I need to buy two new tires. Welcome back to reality.

Flat tire huh? Somebody stick a shiv in it? :confused3 That would be some nice karma...

Love you like a brother Paul..... And I hate my brothers.

It was funny though, well played.

Carl, have you picked out a team name? I think I know which team I am aligning with. Even if Tim is also on your side. Would also be glad to give you suggestions on the face painting.

Glad you made it back safely!

Thanks Duck. Will look at your video and spread the word tomorrow. Good luck raising the money.

When we were there in Oct they were not grouping attractions. I found it worked well when you got used to the system, I enjoyed not having to run around collecting FP's first thing. I do agree that the limitation on park hopping is crazy but I can't see Disney keeping it like that, they make way too much on the park hop option on tickets.

Thanks guys at least it's not just me. Called them today to ask why I had 6 FPs and wanted to make sure that the 3 time slots we want are the valid ones and was told that even though 6 show I can only have 3 and to wait a day or so to see if "it fixes itself" - huh? Oh well having an issue with FP+ means we are only 60 days away from the mouse.

11 hour days this week. Driving 150 miles a day. These weeks sure to zap the energy out of me.

Finally got our exta ghosts deleted from MDE and will try FP+ for the April trip. It is a little disappointing to lose FP legacy as I enjoyed being able to stock up on the early in the day and use them towards the end of the day. I'll be limited to three now and will just have to choose wisely - months ahead of the trip.

Doesn't the title give away the ending? ;) :lmao: Should have Spoiler Alert as the sub-title.

It is based on a true story. I remember something on tv with a comedian intervening movie goers after Apollo 13. Some would say, "I didn't know how it would end".

That's true. We didn't know Jack. And I still don't. Never watched it. :rolleyes1

I made th mistake of commenting to DW about how bad that movie was. Apparently, I didn't take her to that one. Oops.....:crazy2:

Cause they dont sell beer in the MK :confused3

They do at Be Our Guest.

That stinks. Why do you need to buy two new tires?

Apparently you didn't see the 09 NFC title game...

I remember my wedding and birth of my two children. Thankfully, I have pictures of all my WDW trips or I would have forgot about them already.

Next thing you know, he'll be on Facebook! :scared1::scared1: :scared1::scared1:

Which are better odds? Ron on FB or me running a Disney race. :teacher:

Tonight we went to a track award ceremony at my son's school:thumbsup2, and also threw it out on the table for the possible June trip (last week of Star Wars Weekends) to one of my son's friends parents, I will know for sure in the next few weeks but as of now it looks like it might be a go for a quick 3day/2 night trip:banana:

Good job to your son! Congrats on the possible trip!

Morning all hope all is well.

Well that just bites. I hope it changes for you and you can get it worked out or leave on your own terms.

Yeah that would be nice but sadly I signed my life away so I just have to shut up and color.

Good morning.

That's why I always carry a hydraulic bottle jack. I've seen those crank jacks break enough that I don't even trust them. I'm glad someone came by to offer some assistance. :thumbsup2

I can see it now. A group of Disdad Bravehearts storming the castle. :rotfl2::rotfl:

By the way, did the pirate princess race in costume?

That is what I hate. I saw Steve mention something on Facebook about some dads losing TSMM FP during Marathon weekend and switching to RnRC. That's all well and good until you're the family with small kids that can't ride TSMM after all your planning ahead of time.

The sad thing is, that doesn't surprise me at all...

Good Wednesday morning guys, may it be known as hump day in your homes.

This is the reason I carry a floor jack in the back of my Tundra. I never really had a need for it until trying to change a tire on US 27 outside of Clewiston at 0430 one time....thank GOD I had it then, and I've used it a couple of more times since.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Not because I’m in favor of it that’s for sure.
You and I know all too well that as fine a place to live as SC can be (and it is, really)…

We also have entirely too many instances where it’s best to just awkwardly look away and try to change the subject.

I *may* or *may not* have been the subject of said awkwardly looking away a time or two...:rolleyes1 :lmao:

Morning Gents. Oh, and one of you fellas from up NORF left your door open again...it's going to get cold for like two days or so and it's messing my fishing up, so if you all could kindly check and make sure you have you alls doors closed properly, us folks down south would be much obliged...:rotfl2:

ok guys, missed a lot..... again.
We had plant shut down from Dec 23 - Jan 1st.
Been interesting since coming back.
Jan 3rd, My boss was fired (QA Manager)
Jan 7th, His boss was fired (VP of Operations) - rumor is this firing was because my boss was fired with no plans to cover his position or projects that were in process (ISO and quality processes at our company in PA)

So, I am low enough that the ax went over my head but now i am exposed in a way. (not that i am worried) But with that happening and trying to catch up and assist with issues that my boss would have normally handled, it has been keeping me busy. Sounds like i have the possibility to take over my boss' position when they post it. Still trying to decide if i want to take it. Should be a substantial pay increase but then it is my head in that ax range. I am thinking i will go for it though. Can't hurt to try. No guts no glory and if i get it, it will be a nice boost to my resume.

So hope to be able to check in more often but we shall she how this all pans out.

Good Morning!
Good morning Randall and the rest of yas

Safe travels this week. I also liked the FP legacy system as it was up to the individual on how many, when and where vs FP+ which so far is limiting on several fronts

Also thought I'd say that I went with a group of guys from church last night to see Lone Survivor. If you haven't seen it, go. It is a great movie. Gives you a lot of appreciation for what our men and women in uniform go through to get the job done. To those of you who serve our country, THANK YOU!!!
I'm not a movie goer but I want to see this movie. I like the idea of sitting at home with beer in hand watching it.

:rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:

I am sure we will get used to it and hopefully Dis will continue to adjust but after being able to use it today, I am thinking that the old system and how we used that was better as we had more than 3 per day and could do Soarin & TT both with FP.
This is why making rope drop is very important.

Well that just sucks. We have Road Rangers up here too. Saved my butt a few years ago when I had a blowout on my boat trailer. I was on a curve and it was not a safe situation. Glad you were out of there quickly.

Hummm… this puts me in a quandary. I thought both of them were Team Tim members. There has been a mutiny amongst the ranks.

I don't know his situation but he could of had his FP picked out before the tiering went into effect then tried to adjust and couldn't book both again.
