Evening Guys.

been a busy and long few days, glad to see Sunday night.

Great to hear you are doing well Randall.

Not sure if there will be any left to mail. Come on down, people will be in and out of the house all day. I'll need a carnivore to offset the nuts and berries crowd.
.

Thanks for the invitation. One of these days, hopefully. No news on the dates yet, but my inside sources say I have the right days.

Just got back from watching The Hunger Games with the family. Awesome! Is all I can say, very well done. Can't wait until the last of the series comes out.

Time for dinner and maybe a Christmas movie with the kiddos and then it's time for the Walking Dead, not a bad Sunday!!

I may watch Hunger Games on DVD, but will skip that one at the theater. Seems like I only get Avengrs or Disney movies there.

Not me. That means I have to go to the office.

Creepy! :scared:

Froze our butts off tonight at Sesame Place, went to see The Imagination Movers Christmas Show, Show was really good:thumbsup2, after the show we went to see Carl's daughter Beth who works there, Hunter remembered her from WDW a couple years ago, and was excited to hear she will be at WDW when we go in April, on the way home he referred to Beth as his Disney/Sesame Place friend, it was Great to her again:goodvibes

Morning guys. Pretty good weekend here. IU held the buckeyes under 100 on Saturday :lmao:

If anyone sees the Colts Defense anywhere, it has been reported as lost. Please return it to the Colts facility on 56th st. :scared:

Good Monday Morning Gentlemen. Trying to catch up. Been off the boards since last Wednesday. Work was crazy so no time and our first basketball tourney this weekend. We were 2-1 in the tourney. Lost the last game by 2. Were down 11 at half time and the girls stormed back in the second half. We had the last 10 shots and missed them all. Great game though.

Dentist went well. $280 later I have teeth that are repaired and the teeth are looking good! I'm sure I'll get to it, but hope everything went well Randall and CJ.

Oh, and thank you to the Broncos for deciding to throw the game last night. Looks like the Patriots have a shot to win the AFC East with a win next week and some loses by others.

Good Luck at the dentist guys:goodvibes, Take it from me whatever the Dental issue, it's better then life threatening emergency dental surgery::yes::, it's been over a month now and it I still have no feeling on my left bottom jaw:crazy2:, I was at the Dr yesterday and reconfirmed that it could take up to a year to get feeling back, or it could be never, but that is a small price to pay rather then being dead if they didn't do it:scratchin

Glad they caught it and you are still with us. :thumbsup2 Stinks that the nerves are still not back working. Did they tell you why it will take so long to get the feeling back? Good luck, hope the numbness goes away soon.

My wisdom teeth never came in and I no one will touch them unless there is a serious issue because they are still down in the jaw. If they ever need to take them out, I would lose 5 other teeth and there is a risk of losing feeling in my lower jaw forever. Of course the hope is that they stay right where they are and it never becomes an issue.

Just don't do what I did. DW says I was flirting with the nurses before I woke up completely after my colonoscopy. Allegedly.

Turns out that the scope wasn't long enough to get a view of my entire lower intestine, so I went straight down to radiology for a barium enema. DW had nothing to do with that. Allegedly.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Good morning gentlemen. Been a busy couple of days around here. Welcome new guys, thoughts and prayers to those who need them and bacon garnished Dole Whips for all. I'm still getting full court pressed for a dog. DD told her brother, "You have to help me clean up so we can get a damn dog." No idea where she picked up the "damn dog" part. :rolleyes2

Welcome to the Dam tour.:rotfl2::rotfl2: At least they are cleaning up. I may have to try that one. If course we aren't getting a dog, but it may work for a while.

She didn't remember that Sarah Palin could see Russia from her porch? :rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao:

I don't know of any Jets fans in the state of Connecticut. Either Giants or Patriots fans, but I agree, I love maps like this!

The map is awesome. Glad to hear there are less Jets fans in the world. If they keep drafting QB's like the last two, they may not have many fans left in NY/NJ. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Bills dominating NY? :faint::rotfl2::lmao:

Probably not in my lifetime again. :sad2:

Rumors this morning is that Bon Jovi is buying the Bills and that Bellicheck is going to leave NE and work for his best friend to turn around the Bills.

Marmph mumph Owww. Umaraph vin sumalon prian. Nomon drugrhs end hrurphs. OWWW! (liquid dribbling down cheek) Nowon ina sweaterls, som nom reaftractions. Rifrids froma dinnefrump. (liquid dribbling down cheek) Frows, Ruaundl, benny mews? Freed ar rap. OOOWWWWWW! (liquid dribbling down cheek)

Exactly!:rotfl2: Glad it's over and your feeling better.

I know it's selfish, but I just want to spend the holiday with DW & my dds.

I visit my parents a few times a year, but they are just not a part of our lives. My dad isn't in the best of health now, but i asked them years ago to be a part of their grandchildren's lives - but they didn't want to. 2 hours away is hardly a excuse to never visit or consistently miss games, dance recitals, school grandparent day, etc. And, money isn't an issue for them. I call them every Sunday and both dds talk to them, but that is about the extent of that relationship. I respect that they don't want a relationship and don't get why we have to do a holiday visit (DW's idea to visit my parents.)

As with DW's parents, i just get tired of seeing them take advantage of her. They say jump and she goes running. I found out recently that her mother tried to justify buying her brother a car because DW had to have glasses and asthma medicine as a child - so that evened it out financially. Hmmmm....paying for your child's medical care vs buying a mooching adult a car. Yeah, that evens it out. Can't wait for the dysfunction to be over.

We are lucky. My parents help out a lot and are alway going to sports and events. We have never had to pay a babysitter as my mom is always happy to take the kids for sleepovers, special days and such. In laws are selfish at times, but they do make an effort to see the kids and go to events.

Sorry you have to deal with this stuff. I can't even fathom why anyone wouldn't make every effort to be in the life of a child.

We do one holiday for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Basically alternate the families. Thanksgiving this year at our house with inlays, Christmas at my mom's. Next year we switch.

He’s having the time of his life, and also taking responsibility and control over it as well. Makes me proud to hear the change in his voice and demeanor; he’s actually growing up (thus making it worth every penny).

As for school itself, he took to the place like a duck to water, but then again he’s focusing on his core studies so it’s easy for him to do the hard work. As a music major, only one of his first semester classes was outside of his studies. Since he ultimately wants to make his way in performance and back that up with teaching (both tough and underpaid business to be sure), that intense focus is a good thing because making a living as either will require him to not just be good at it, but to be exceptional. To get there, we got him in the right school. If he just continues to work as hard the next three years as he’s done so far… he may just make it out there.

Now since you brought him up, I get to do a bit of the proud poppa thing. This belongs in the Brag Wall thread, but…

We got to go up there this past weekend and see the marching band’s final performance.
They were stunning. One of the most exciting and entertaining shows I’ve seen and the band geekes out there can see it here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RGe3egBhcY

Don’t feel obligated, but I just couldn’t resist.

Glad he is doing well and enjoying college!:thumbsup2

What's that you say, it's Friday afternoon? You could have fooled me. Feels more like a Monday.

I am generally a happy and positive person who deals well with stressful situations. The stress is getting to me a bit as the week winds down. A couple of weeks ago I interviewed for what would be a promotional opportunity in a different division of my company. The move would be to a different plant but one that's a little closer to home. It's a managers spot of a decent size department. I knew I interviewed well and got the indication that I was a shoe-in so I've been patiently waiting. Yesterday I got the offer but it was a bit of a lowball in my estimation. My management here is happy for me to have the opportunity but are ok what I decide either way. They haven't said so but I know they would prefer that I take it so that they could use it as a domino effect to move some of the newer hires up a little. I've also been told in not so many words that I won't have the chance to move up in my current department. So I made a counter offer today and here I wait but I'm guessing I will end up heading into the weekend without an answer.

This is all compounded by the lack of sleep that comes from having a 1 month old at home. Overall he has been an angel and we are head over heals about him. It's just the schedule of having a baby and I know it is short term.

Looking forward to killing the edge with a little of the hard stuff when I get home and also the 10 mile run I have planned for the weekend. Only supposed to get up into the 20's this weekend....BRRRR.

Here's to the weekend! :drinking1

Good luck on the job front. I hope they accept your offer and you get the promotion. Glad the little guy is doing well. Don't miss those non sleeping days.

Happy Birthday Captain Oblivious

From all your friends at the DISDads...

Happy Belated Birthday!

Going to try to go mostly offline for the holiday week and focus on my biological family rather than all y'all, my cyber friends, so an early Happy Thanksgiving Dads! Despite the trials and tribulations of the day, we have much to be thankful for if we just remember it.

I'm still on the green side of the sod and have eaten at least one meal today so I am doing better than much of the world.

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! May the harvest be fruitful and the company you keep be blessed.

All went well. As far as walking, I'm on a walker with 50% weight on the new hip for 4 weeks.

Hey Randall, Glad you are home and on the mend. The good news is you'll have lots of time to plan your next visit with Mickey.

Happy Birthday Captain Oblivious

I'm
Home!

:cool1::woohoo:

Belated congrats Mark. Not a bad celebration if the FB pictures are any indication.

Thanks CJ. They offered a free cheese steak on my birthday. It would have been a sin to pass that up.

That is so Wrong! They came to me for those hugs! True Story!:thumbsup2

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Morning everyone

Happy Belated Birthday Mark!!

Been crazy busy. By Saturday night I had all the beer racking cleaned off. Three skids loaded, the rest all got out to the Sales Floor. It helped that I had a busy and brisk couple of sales days for beer, likely as people stocked up for yesterday's Grey Cup. Yesterday we attended a Christmas Concert put on by the Salvation Army, very nice.

I'm
Home!

Welcome home! Here is to a speedy recovery.

Good to hear all went well and that you are back home.

CJ - just not your week is it, sorry about your Gators.

And the Dolphins.:sad2: I feel your pain. We had the Panthers down last week and lost it at the end as well.

It is 18 degrees here this morning. If only I could get the family in the camper to CJs.

16 here. Supposed to warm up to the 40's tomorrow and be 60 on Wednesday. I am not looking forward to the winter. When are we heading to CJ's again?

That is so Wrong! They came to me for those hugs! True Story!:thumbsup2

Sure they did, just like Cinderella was happy to see you in that pic you posted.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just got back from watching The Hunger Games with the family. Awesome! Is all I can say, very well done. Can't wait until the last of the series comes out.

Time for dinner and maybe a Christmas movie with the kiddos and then it's time for the Walking Dead, not a bad Sunday!!

Still have not seen the first one. DS wants to go see it this coming weekend so it looks like I need to rent it. DD want to see Frozen as well. May be an expensive weekend.

Good morning!

Happy belated birthday, Mark.

Welcome home Randall. I'm glad it went well.

Morning guys. Pretty good weekend here. IU held the buckeyes under 100 on Saturday :lmao:

If anyone sees the Colts Defense anywhere, it has been reported as lost. Please return it to the Colts facility on 56th st. :scared:
Don't forget the Colts are a "power running team now." :confused3 I've been questioning that ever since they started talking about it. The Colts haven't been worth a crap running the ball since some guy named James left. It all starts with the line... that's all I have to say about that.

Morning Guys.

Looks like a weird weather week coming up here. It is flipping freezing here today (about 0 F, with a new wind to make it feel worse) Come Wednesday it will be about 60 F and raining.

Fun times!

Good morning Dads on what I trust is a short week for most - except our friends to the north. Happy belated birthday Mark

I bet when the Colts D is found from their MIA the Bears D is somewhere with them as well.

Thought I would pass on some Christmas decoration pics as we start our transformation to the North Pole. This was DS's idea for the mouse ear wreaths as part of our exterior garland. The garland is lit as well.

Oh, and thank you to the Broncos for deciding to throw the game last night. Looks like the Patriots have a shot to win the AFC East with a win next week and some loses by others.

Did you go to that game? It looked brutally cold and shots of the stadium did not seem to be that full. Great work on flex games, NBC. Sorry to hear about the tourney loss.

Maybe they will use next year's #first round draft pick on OL. Oops.

!

So, Canada is responsible for the cold weather we are having. You can keep it.

Oh I have to go to the office as well but it will be a lot less hectic than the last 2 weeks.

Snoring. 9AM and all work is done for the day. I can play games on my iPad though.

I wonder what they have against 340lb big guys who eat small children and can open a hole I could run through :confused3

There are a number of Colts fans who totally underestimate how good Edge was as a running back.

Maybe they took a wrong turn somewhere :rotfl2:
