Morning Guys.

Looks like a weird weather week coming up here. It is flipping freezing here today (about 0 F, with a new wind to make it feel worse) Come Wednesday it will be about 60 F and raining.

Fun times!

We just have cold here...

Thought I would pass on some Christmas decoration pics as we start our transformation to the North Pole. This was DS's idea for the mouse ear wreaths as part of our exterior garland. The garland is lit as well.

Looks good!

Happy Belated Birthday!

Happy Belated Birthday Mark!!

Happy belated birthday, Mark.

Thanks guys!

Don't forget the Colts are a "power running team now." :confused3 I've been questioning that ever since they started talking about it. The Colts haven't been worth a crap running the ball since some guy named James left. It all starts with the line... that's all I have to say about that.

I think Bill Simmons is calling him Trent Richardson 2.0 (thanks to the yards/carry).

Good Monday Morning Gentlemen. Trying to catch up. Been off the boards since last Wednesday. Work was crazy so no time and our first basketball tourney this weekend. We were 2-1 in the tourney. Lost the last game by 2. Were down 11 at half time and the girls stormed back in the second half. We had the last 10 shots and missed them all. Great game though.

Dentist went well. $280 later I have teeth that are repaired and the teeth are looking good! I'm sure I'll get to it, but hope everything went well Randall and CJ.

Oh, and thank you to the Broncos for deciding to throw the game last night. Looks like the Patriots have a shot to win the AFC East with a win next week and some loses by others.

Nice comeback on both the basketball and football games. Couldn't believe it when I heard the score this morning, I turned it off long before any sort of comeback was mounted.

I'll say this much. I like Trent Richardson and I think he can be the workhorse back that the Colts need. I don't care who you are, when the first contact is consistently behind the line of scrimmage, it is hard to do much.

Ok I have had enough winter. 3 days of cold rain is enough. It has been between 33-38 since Friday, no snow just miserable cold wet.
We did have a fall this year though, it was Thursday. Because Thursday morning all the trees had leaves and when I got up Friday they were gone.

I would normally just post this in the running thread but I figure more people can laugh at/take pity on me here.

I had planned to get in a 10 mile run this weekend, hoping to do it Saturday morning to get it out of the way. Well, Friday not was a restless sleep for the little guy so I spent part of the night on the couch with him and ended up with a sore neck. So that pushed me off til yesterday when I made the decision I would hop out there after the Bears game (they were really finished about 5 minutes in and I'd have been better off going for my run then).

So by the time the game ended it was about 4 and though still sunny, I knew it would be dark by the time I finished my run. I pretty much knew I wasn't going to get 10 miles in but I thought I'd just push it as long as a could. Normally on a long run I would hit the bike path because it is safer and more pleasant. Knowing it would be dark that wouldn't be an option so I hit the streets. It was about 22 degrees out when I started running. I had a long-sleeved running pull-over on, a hat, and shorts because I don't like to run with pants on. It was quite nippy to start out but once I got going it wasn't too bad. I make a loop of about 5.5 miles that puts me about a little over a half mile from home and I start thinking about cutting it off. I glance south down my street and the RR tracks are clear. I think to myself that I should push myself to get a couple more miles in so I make another loop that adds about 2.5 more miles to my total and I'm headed home.

When I get to the stoplight that is about half mile from my house I notice that the rail crossing gates are flashing and then I notice that the train is stopped. So I decide to head west to the next place I could possibly cross the tracks even though I know it will probably add another mile and a half to the run (thus getting me close to the 10 had originally planned). I get about 2 blocks west and those gates start coming down so I know I'm not going to make it. So I just loop back to where the crossing is near my house. This train is crawling so I'm stuck there waiting for about 15 minutes freezing my butt off in the dark. With the wind chill it was probably about 10 degrees. It took me about 2 hours to warm up once I got home.

I told DW if this is the type of winter we are in for and it's starting this early we might be booking a late winter tropical getaway. Why do I live in Chicagoland again? I need to head south. :headache:

So are you playing solitaire or minesweeper, you know the classic play at work computer games.

Candy Crush, solitaire, soduko, etc. Just killing time.

Donald Brown has some yards rushing. I just figured Richardson had an injury. If not an injury, did he run with a lead blocker?

The tree in the front yard still has some leaves. I'm hoping no snow or damage.

The exact reason I don't run. :lmao:

There is plenty of room at CJs.

I ran last week and you are right, it seems to be getting colder. I think the temps bothered my knee more than the distance. I think we are in for a long winter.

Did you go to that game? It looked brutally cold and shots of the stadium did not seem to be that full. Great work on flex games, NBC. Sorry to hear about the tourney loss.

No, I actually sold the seats since I have no interest in sitting outside for a game that is under 40 degrees. Good luck to all those that thought a Super Bowl in NY in February was a good idea. You could call me a "fair weather" fan.:lmao::lmao: Watch them all, but my 72 degree living room is much mrs comfortable than 18 degrees with 25 MPH winds for a windchill of about…………0.

The tourney went well even with the loss. We play this team again during the regular league season and he pretty much showed us everything he has. We still have a few tricks we never needed to show them. I say we are 7 point favorites heading into the next match up.:thumbsup2

Thanksgiving is so last month.

:rotfl2:

Eh?

No…..No he's not. He's not even the best RB on their roster.

:lmao::lmao: We still had leaves on the tress until yesterday when the 40 MPH winds took care of it for us.

I'm with you. The cold spell convinced us to book a February vacation trip. Heading to the Dominican for some sunshine and warmer weather.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 It's too early for single digits.

Calling for a "wintry mix" here in mid TN tonight. Coming from Chicago when first here you do not think much of it until the light bulb goes on and ya realize the hills and slopes of the streets are not good for ice compounded by the fact that winter road removal capabilities are limited at best.

I get to travel up to Chicago tomorrow for business with a return trip home Wednesday. Yep, business travel the two days before Thanksgiving
Can't wait for the extra cold temps and jam packed airports :woohoo:

Are you flying into Midway or O'Hare?

I'm starting to think CJ's is like Atlantis, no one has ever actually been there, but we talk about it like it's real :lmao:

Possible. I'll risk it.

I'm sure you got a good price on those tickets. I'm not sure how I would handle that, as there in no pro team here. These flex night games sure do make it hard on ticket holders. As for the Feb trip, it seems you misspelled Disney.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: You are right, I did misspell it. We are doing Disney in August 2014. The positive outcome to the February (non-Disney:scared:) trip is that it has guaranteed a 2015 Disney trip:woohoo::woohoo:. That was part of the deal. Most likely at a value as the family we are traveling has 5 children:eek: and most likely will need to book a suite. I have recommended we all look into renting points, but we'll see how that goes.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Watch out for shower curtain ring salesmen!

2014 has two trips booked for Disney. In April 2015, youngest dd will be going to Washington DC. So, we probably won't be doing a Spring Break trip that year. I guess we could so go somewhere that summer. In the past, we've went to the beach.

AWESOME:thumbsup2, looks like a decoration you would find on Main Street::yes:: Nicely Done:worship:
