Thanks everyone for the Well wishes
I didn't ask, but I would say it is probably not until after the meds are done![]()
Hey guys! It's been quite the week. We now have a 1 week old boy at home. I didn't spend much, if any, time on the boards here last week. I spent just a little bit of time over in the pub on the chat, but beyond that I've been out of touch so prayers to those in need and congrats to those who are celebrating.
As for my celebration my not so little guy born at 8:24 am on 10/16, weighing in at a 9 lbs 10z and measuring 21 3/4 in I'd like to introduce you to the starting QB for your 2035 Chicago Bears, Mr Ronald (Ronnie) Myron West:

It messed up that things always happen on a weekend when no one is around
Anyway Sat night I start to get sharp gum to jaw & ear pain, it's Sat night almost 11pm going to have to wait till Mon, after trying everykind of med we had nothing worked along with no sleep for 2 days, so Mon comes along I call out from work and call the dentist who is not in that office on Mon, so the receptionist calls a oral surgeon for me, appt was for 5:30, so after the X-ray he comes in and tells me he can't figure out how I'm still standing 95% would have been in the ER already from the pain, turns out it was my only wisdom tooth left that was impacted against my jaw was abscessed big time, so bad my choices were to have it done right there and now with locals or go across the street to the Hospital and be knocked out. But I wasn't going no where until it was done
I said how much more could it hurt and took the locals (gas & novocain), now funny thing is I almost fell asleep while they were working on me I was feeling great once the ear pain stopped.
Everything turned out OK no jaw fracture, it will be sore a few more days, I go back to work tomorrow, Having high tolerance to pain has its pros and cons,
pro - made the procedure go quickly without complication
con - within another day or two the infection would have been life threatening:sick
Was told this was a prime example of why you should get them out around the age of 16, so if you have dental coverage get it done, believe me it will hurt a lot more if they get a abscess![]()
Jersey boyz is tuff, I guess. I had an impacted wisdom tough removed when i was 18. Just novacaine. turned out the roots had grown under the bone of the socket. Took an hour and eight shots before he was done. It was interesting to feel him scraping along the bone to make sure he got all the bits and pieces out.
Forgot to mention, boss remembers when she opened the store, how it was all high end quality stuff, wants the beer fridge back to that state....
Adding some beer with the meds will rally help with the pain.

Congrats! It's a good thing he's comfortable on his back. Our QBs spend a lot of time there.
Just in case the QB doesnt quite pan out, Id start saving for college now. Three-quarters of your take home for the next eighteen years might cover about half of it.
Not too much pressure there. Congrats on the new family addition.
Congrats again!
And sorry to hear about his future occupation. That's a tough lot for him.
Congrats!
Congrats!
Awesome and best wishes to the family on the new addition! I miss having the ones that size around. If you can get him whipped into shape the Bills are getting thin at QB and can put him on the practice squad.
Congrats. . .sucks about the loss to the DeadSkins tho.
Awesome. Congratulations. Hope mom and the little guy are doing well!
+1 Congrats again! Looks like he's ready for some football.
Congratulations!!!!!
That's a big boy you have there!! Glad it was a c-section.![]()

Ronnie West I like it good strong name.

And if he gets the sports scholarships then youll have enough extra cash set aside to acquire property at Golden Oaks (along with a vacation villa in Palm Springs, three yachts and a Ferrari or two.)
Or you can start lower and increase savings as your income goes up. It's worked out great for me, except for the whole income going up part.![]()
Weekend means one day closer to work for me. With my work week starting tonight.
One day closer to the weekend.
I'm just impressed that they do that much in Kentucky. They've already exceeded my expectations.![]()
OK. I just took tomorrow off so the weekend will start today for me.Now if only the clock would move a little faster. It would be great if there was a controller of the universe around here somewhere.

LOLOL YOU're killing me...Well, at least they'll get to learn subtraction in a few years.![]()
WOW... this is the funny board today.Congrats! It's a good thing he's comfortable on his back. Our QBs spend a lot of time there.
True. After teaching them how to tie their shoes, we count all our NCAA Basketball trophies.

I absolutely expected Barry to get to that joke before me.

Can I be your long lost son?Something to think about - if I put $500 a month into a mutual fund for each at age 18 for 4 years, and NOTHING after that, then each would have $1 million around age 60, assuming an average 10% return. $6K a year for education to find a career to make money & retire, or $6K a year to make money & retire.

I'm scared what it's going to be in another 7 years. If my benefit holds (they tried to take it away this year), then I get one kid tuition paid a year, and would just have to pay for 2 years. Still, the price just keeps going up. I remember paying less than $1K a semester, back when the dinosaurs roamed 18 years ago.
Maybe my girls don't need to go to college. Let me know how that works out. Of course they may need to live on the street from age 18-60, but living in a house is overrated.Unless they just plan to live with daddy until he dies and then just take over. You may want to tell them your selling the house and moving to CJ's. It may provide motivation.

College is over-rated. Wish I hadn't spent 9 years there. I'm still pushing the kids to consider HVAC/plumbing/etc. I don't get any significant college benefits working here. Living in EKY my kids would have been competitive for some special scholarships except for the fact that my wife and I have college degrees.
One more meeting but at least they brought in a tray of cannolies.
I don't think I've had a PBR since I was in HS...20 years ago. It'll be around after a nuclear strike along with cockroaches and twinkies
Might be Milwaukee's Best. I actually remember when it could be purchased for $6 and and had a $2 rebate. Mail-in...I think the stamp cost .20 back then. So case of beer for $4.20 is a pretty goo deal never thought I'd see a time where the cost per gallon of fuel rivaled the price of a case of beer.Thought that was Old Milwaukee.
We saw Captain EO in 2011. I was ready to demand a refund for every dollar I had ever spent at WDW. I'll give credit for the nostalgia and the fact that it was before MJ went off the deep end...but my God, i thought that was the worst entertainment experience in the world....did Captain EO, it was nice to see MJ before he became a complete lunatic!
Sorry. That ship sailed years ago.
Well, they still have to work. Just having fun with math and throwing out some numbers. I'm ok with my dds living with me in WDW and working at WDW until their Prince Charming shows up. Just not the Charming from Shrek.
BTW, I'm at orthodontist right now and gave that plan to my oldest dd. She said she wants to go to college. Where did I go wrong?
