that's nice said:I changed dates... 10/30-11/5. You still gonna be there on the 30th?![]()
That would be some trip if you were still there.![]()
Norm, if you prefer, I can collect on your behalf in January.
I really don't mind at all.![]()
Good Morning everyone....for most of you it's FRIDAY!![]()
(I work tomorrow so it doesn't feel like it)
This morning on the group FB page someone put up a hornets nest about the recent situation in Washington and I grabbed a big old stick and took a full fledged whack at it. It was a busy morning and I was offline until after the post was rightly taken down so I did not see the aftermath. Not sorry about what I wrote but I do apologize for picking up the stick in the first place. Putting myself in the sorry corner on FB for a little while. No need to discuss here (it is also inappropriate in this forum) but if anyone wants to comment/criticize/discuss my response, they can send me a PM.
Now back to eating bacon.
There was also a robbery at the Victoria's Secret in Evansville, IN. I can't be everywhere.![]()
As a Team Sparrow member, this ride may be a requirement. We'll check it out in April.
One more day at the restaurant, will be a crazy busy day, we have to clean up everything at the end of the night because we are closing. Probably get home around 10, get the van packed up, get cleaned up and ready to leave 3am. That should get us to Rock Hill, SC in time for dinner.
Anybody in the area that could give us a good dinner recommendation?
We will just miss you, we check out on the 29th! Maybe next time

Thats friendship right there
Morning guys
I don't frequent Facebook too often (as Tim pointed out last night) but I happened to look in and see the fallout. I don't know what you did CJ, but now that I've seen the fallout I want to know! This morning on the group FB page someone put up a hornets nest about the recent situation in Washington and I grabbed a big old stick and took a full fledged whack at it. I hate to hear things like this about FP+. I've never experienced it myself, but I've had a hard time convincing myself to want to even give it a chance. I just hear so many things about it that I just don't like...Well today was the day MagicBands and FP+ became open for our December 11 trip. And I could not be more disgusted with Disney. I hated how FP+ reservations are done. If they are going to force me me do this in advance, I want complete control over it, one fastpass at a time. They make you select all 3 at once each day, then they give you 3 or 4 arranged times and they all stretch out with an hour in between each time. Many go from morning into afternoon so you can't block it up in the AM easily. Rotten.
I'd like to know what was said...
I look forward to seeing what you have to say about it.Yep, my sentiments exactly. It also doesn't work well for park hoppers like my family. When I get some time, I plan to provide my personal review of pros/cons.
Exit 90 (Carowinds Blvd): Mostly chain restaurants including a Carvers of all the odd things to find in SC (get the cheese curds).
Dude - it's a Culver's.

But yes, get the cheese curds. We got one the other day at our local Culver's that looked a bit...familiar.

Now your stealing bourbon and wearing women's underwear. Not really something I wanted to envision on a Friday morning..
That's about the same price for Basil Hayden here. So much for economic theory. With all the transportation costs, it should be way higher. Yeah to corporate price fixing.

‘Morning all…
Not so busy day scheduled for work today, but that will change once I get home and continue packing the house for the move. Got a lot done so far, but got a lot more to do as well.
Like I said, I’m working tomorrow as well…
Just not getting paid for it.![]()

Rule #1: never, ever, ever talk about politics on Facebook.
All hail the Mickey cheese curds!
I hope you called the papers and put in an air tight container.![]()

We need this post saved on the first page... incase any other Dads decide to drive down that way.Rock Hill? Really? Well then that would be me We live just a couple exits north of there.
About what time do you think youll be getting in and what kind of dinner did you have in mind?
I suspect that your hotel is on Dave Lyle Blvd (Exit 79) so Ill rattle off a few of the places that we frequent by exit number starting at the SC state line
Exit 90 (Carowinds Blvd): Mostly chain restaurants including a Carvers of all the odd things to find in SC (get the cheese curds).
Exit 88 (Gold Hill Rd / SC-460): There is an excellent Southrn style Fish Camp here called Captaiin Steves. Very good (especially the baby shrimp, salt-n-pepper catfish and perch filets). Mostly fried (I did say it was southrn), but there are other items on the menu as well).
Exit 85 (SC-160 / this is the road we live off of). Again there is a lot of fast food, but there is a local Pizza/Sports bar called Empire Pizza that just opened its third location here that is quite good. There is a great Cuban restaurant called Carlos Café a couple miles west of the exit (one of our favorite meals anywhere seriously). Right near that place is a spot called Dannys Pizza & Pasta that is also quite good. Hands down, the best Mexican in the area (Los Aztica) is couple miles to the east of the exit and just down the road from my house (and probably where Ill be having dinner tonight).
Now you get into Rock Hill - - -
Exit 82C & 82B (Celenese Rd / SC-161): Several Chain Restaurants (think: Outback), but more importantly there is also a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts right here.
Exit 82A (Cherry Rd / US-21): Again, a whole lot of fast food, but the spot we like here is called Luigi and Sons. Its run by a family from Long Island, and we love the food here, but Id go early as from time to time the service can be a might slow during the dinner hours.
Exit 79 (Dave Lyle Blvd / SC-122), a lot of chain restaurants here as well from Olive Garden to Cracker Barrel. When were down that far we either go to 5 Guys for a rather good sloppy burger or to Buffalo Wild Wings for some pub-grub.
If any of this sounds good or if you have something else in mind let me know and Ill hunt down some more ideas or get you specific directions and menus if possible.
Sweet!Dude - it's a Culver's.
But yes, get the cheese curds. We got one the other day at our local Culver's that looked a bit...familiar.

Paul, what a generous offer, but I don't want to interfere with your run training, so I'll decline.![]()
