Hey guys, still in Sarnia when we should have been home soon. Would appreciate some prayers for my FIL , went to the hospital this morning with difficulties breathing. DW has been with him for around 7 hours now while they conduct tests, pretty sure he's in Emerg. still. They found a mass on his lung thinking either pneumonia or a blood clot there. Only issue is we both need to be at our respective jobs tomorrow morning so it's either a very late return or very early tomorrow morning. Should know something by 8:30-9 tonight.

Inlaws visit #1 - Horse show on TV.
Inlaws visit #2 - Fox news.

My FIL wanted to watch the Dog show that was on. I promptly informed him that his television at home works just as well as mine should he desire to watch something other than football.

Yes! There will be 8 of us, Lord willing. It looks like if we can raise the last chunk we need we will travel late Feb/early March

No football for me today. Our antenna is not working.

You missed a decent day of football. Did you try tinfoil. I am looking forward to the pictures of your "pieces of 8".

So let's be honest, how many of you are out there shopping this morning?

I did not shop on Friday, Saturday or yesterday. I will check some of the online offers today, but not much on the kid's lists this year.

Done. I only went for two things. DW needed a new case for her phone, so I went to Best Buy and got a Lifeproof that was on sale and I had a $25GC to use

We needed new sheet sets for the boys room so I went to Target as well.

I lead a super exciting life

I have one of the life cases. It protects the phone, but my iPhone sound keeps getting shut off by the switch on the side. Can be pretty frustrating.

Disney Princess at the top and Disney Monorail at the bottom. Disney, Looney Tunes, and homemade ornaments on the tree.

The rest of the decorations are up. We cooked a turkey, several casseroles, pies and will be enjoying them for several days. I had to get out to cash a check, but that was it. Black Friday traffic seemed to be low, but that was around noon. I prefer my Green Friday.

Tree looks good Norm. Looks like you either need a new camera or I need to stop drinking. We didn't get ours up yet. DW is still trying to decide between the foyer, living room and den. Will send pics of the outside as soon as we get a day without rain.

Agreed. We saw it on Friday in 3D and it was and excellent movie. We could have done without the 60 minutes of previews though.

Evening Guys,

Declan's team won their tournament today. Blew away the cross-town rivals in the semis and had a tougher time in the final but still managed a 16 point win. Declan got himself into some foul trouble to he had to sit most of the 3rd quarter but had a good weekend overall.

I had a niece and nephew playing in other tournaments and they won as well. An all-around great weekend.

Congrats to Declan and the family on a solid sports weekend!

Our fantasy leagues all go to playoffs in week 15. Holding on the the final playoff spot in both leagues right now. Hopefully next week will be a good week for my players.

I find it pretty amazing sometimes how fast they can actuality get something delivered. Good luck.

Morning guys. Lost my fantasy playoff game, but at least the Colts won. Back to work today. DW has to go get our I-800A apostilled first thing this morning so we can overnight it. I cringe at the cost of sending two pieces of paper Fedex overnight

Belated good morning Dads! Got all of our decorations done and will post pics hopefully tonight. Trust all had a good Thanksgiving holiday. This Monday stuff is a kicker after a nice 4 day break with the family decorating, eating and football. Plus to top it off we have internal auditors starting today - for the next 2 weeks

Thanks guys.... DW is back now, it is pneumonia with his COPD or whatever it is really bad too. He us getting admitted to treat. We are going to brave the freezing rain and get ourselves home.

Yes it is. Yeah not happy about the Alshon thing but i am happy the bears lost. It is similar to the other league i am in. My brother beat me mostly because he has Peyton Manning and my players put up crap numbers there too.

My two running backs that have at least been in double digits put up less than 10 and two players i almost dropped this week put up around 20 each on the bench. I hate when that happens.

Of course then there is the 3rd league i am in and i got beat by a guy who has 3 players starting who are on IR.

I also got the rest of the decorations up this weekend. We had done the inside stuff the weekend before Thanksgiving (if that Turkey wants the day to itself, he better show up earlier next year). The outside stuff only took a couple of hours.

Agreed on not wanting everyday to be Saturday....unless it was college football season. That I could get on board with. But, I spend more time actually working on a typical Saturday than I do when I am actually at work.

Yep…
Saturday is usually nothing more than the day you take off from work so that you can finally get some work done. You just don’t get paid. But then again, you also ain’t serving another master so it’s almost a wash.


Glad to see so many of y’all getting the decorations up and done. We don’t usually even start on that until about the second week of December. As it stands right now, the house is in such a state of ciaos that I ain’t certain we’ll break out any decoration at all.

DW has been thinking of places to go for her 40th next year. We started looking into Atlantis to cross it off the bucket list. After reading a number of nasty reviews we scratched that. DW also decided she couldn't imagine a vacation without the kiddos. So we're talking about pushing up the DLR trip up to December 2014.

While I love Disney and the monorail is cool, I can't help but think the Hogwarts Express will look so awesome streaming it's way around the tree. Norm already has a monorail. I say go with the Express.

We had the same discussion about Atlantis. Decided to go to Punta Cana, Dominican in February. I'll let you know how it goes, but have heard nothing but great things. Lots to do for the kids and adults. Most places are all inclusive so food/drink is already paid for. Just something you may want to add to your options.

No freezing rain although we had some pretty strong rain early on, then smooth sailing. Halfway there we got some pretty thick fog but roads were pretty much empty. Home to get a bit of sleep.

Glad you guys made it home safely. Hopeful your FIL is improving.

Got back in the hollar last night. Sitting in the airport in the big city on my way to Raleigh/Durham for a week of meetings. I need a week to recover from all the travel last week. Prayers for those in need, welcome new dads.
