Mornin dads.
Pulling out our decorations today then tonight my DW and oldest are going to a 5k black light run.

Morning gentlemen. Off to walk in a Holiday parade with the girls.

Can some one please tell me if the steelers really lost to the ratbirds ? I am hoping it was all just a bad dream brought on by eating to much turkey.

Morning guys....

Today is "THE" big game....and we are having a bunch of people over to our house to watch it. I think they just come over to drink all my booze!

Have a great weekend! GO BUCKS!

Sorry Scott, I'm layed up and can't make it. Would you please send your booze here? :yay:

Good for your girls and you! :woohoo:

Yes, the Ravens WON!!! You still owe me a Dole Whip!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Disney Princess at the top and Disney Monorail at the bottom. Disney, Looney Tunes, and homemade ornaments on the tree.

The rest of the decorations are up. We cooked a turkey, several casseroles, pies and will be enjoying them for several days. I had to get out to cash a check, but that was it. Black Friday traffic seemed to be low, but that was around noon. I prefer my Green Friday.

Happy Saturday Guys.

Busy weekend for us. Declan is in a basketball tourney with 2 games today and I have to attend the opening of a speed skating meet in the middle. Should be a fun day.

Have a good one.
Good luck to Declan.
Morning guys,

College football Rivalry Week today. Not looking forward to the Florida game, they are going to get beaten bad today. At least the B-Ball team won against the Noles last night.

May be distracted from the humiliation by getting the tree this afternoon. Depends on when the Pirate Princess gets up. We had a late night watching Pirates' movies so who knows when she will start to stir.

Nice job Norm. Drive the trailer down so you can put up my tree.

This should not take too long to set up CJ.

How's it going Dads I have been away for a few days had some time to finally get caught up.

Quick update I am at my parents in Cape Canaveral for this last week. When I was driving down A1A I noticed the DISboards.com website on a stores sign.... I realized what it was when I passed it its the Dreams Unlimited welcome center for the cruises... I pulled over to take a picture of it and I was really tempted to go in when they were open. thought it was pretty cool and worth sharing. Now I am just waiting until tomorrow when we will make our way over to our staple start for our Disney trips the DTD visit.Pin traders is a must. Landon already has his Lanyard now we just need a pin or two for it. Hopefully we can ....

holy crap the Disney Fantasy is in port and laying in my parents guest bed I could hear its horns like I was standing on the deck of the ship... memories of our honey moon on the Magic.... :offtopic: sorry

as I was saying hopefully we can make it to D-street for a Marvel Vinyl but I know my luck might not be that good.

Alicia and I are considering adding a Universal day to the end of our trip its in the works hopefully it will work out but we will see.

I hope everyone has been having a good week.

Peanut butter and Beverly kind of day. The good news is that I thought I was going to have to work on Friday, but now I don't. The bad news is, I get to come in on Saturday.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 definitely not thumbs.

For what its worth I would have been in the same situation had I not been on leave my job does not give days off.

So let's be honest, how many of you are out there shopping this morning?

:lmao:

I went shopping at 4AM to one store (The Base Exchange on Patrick AFB) for one thing my Christmas gift. Disney Infinity.... not gonna lie I am really excited.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Tomorrow we'll be putting up the tree.

I would have done it before we left but the wife said no joy so it is on the list of things to do when we get home.

Evening Gents.

2 relatively easy wins for Declan and his team today, good enough to win their pool and move on to the semis tomorrow morning; most likely against the cross-town rival. It's always an interesting game because some of the people on the other side have always considered our association the poor cousins and there are some of the players from both teams play middle school together. Not a big day point wise for Declan but he was selected hustler of the game in the first game of the day.

Now it's time for a nice Irish Red and watch some of this Alabama/Auburn game.

Drove by Patrick AFB last March on way to Canaveral for our cruise. Didn't seem to be a lot going on but then again it was a Saturday afternoon.

Greetings from Sarnia. We are watching Planes and had that delicacy known as White Castle. We did our Christmas shopping over the border and it turned out fine. It was quiet to cross both ways and stores were not really busy. You could still see the aftermath from yesterday. Got what we needed, a couple if deals but what we were after wasn't going to be. Just a few more things and we are done! Funny thing is I discovered my sister isn't far away in Troy at my nephews hockey tourney.

Hope all is well and that everyone had a great Thanksgiving

Yeah that sounds about right that base is pretty much all retired folk they do every thing in a mon-fri life.

Morning Guys. Looking forward to a relaxing Sunday watching the pros play. May go out for a late lunch or dinner with the kid tonight.

Not an uncommon sight down here but I go for the more traditional approach. We did get the tree yesterday but while they were putting it on the car roof, it poured. Let it stay outside last night to dry off so we will decorate today.

evening guys. Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend. Wild end to the Auburn-Bama game!

It was OK, not that exciting. Right. How about the last two finishes for Auburn? Looks like the SEC will not have a horse in the National Championship game and one participant will be the dreaded Noles. The Gators' season is thankfully over. Not a fun year.

Good Morning David! Thank you, I will. I had other plans, but I'm going to change them. I going to have a December to remember!

And what is January's theme?

Morning all. I have enjoyed the days off work. Will enjoy some football and more leftovers today.

Gonna party like its 1999?

?

We have had the same fake tree now for a decade. The reason we can't stay at WL is that DW has an allergy to those type of trees. I always had a fake tree growing up, so no big deal.

Nice job Norm. Drive the trailer down so you can put up my tree.

Thanks. Now, I just need DW's permission.

.

Pin collector here, but not a trader. Chris had a great idea with putting pins into the bulletin board. So, I try to get a few pins each trip that include the resort, maybe something new we did, a dated pin, DVC pin, etc. It is a fun but expensive hobby.

Congrats to DS.

Yum. White Castle is the gift that keeps on giving a couple hours after you eat them. :lmao:

I think the Black Friday stuff is overrated. I could find good deals online. There are some really excellent discounts, but with a limited number. But, once you are there in the store, it is easy to be persuaded to not as great of a discount. I tried the madness one year - never again.

I'm with you! We're behind on our Christmas shopping this year and still need to get started. But, most years, if we buy anything on Black Friday, I do it Thanksgiving night after we eat. It gets shipped to house for free, I don't have to fight the crowds, and is usually the same price in the store. We aren't ever after those crazy deals people camp out for. Besides, they usually really aren't that great anyway, IMHO.

The only place I went on Friday was to the mattress store. DW and I are getting a new one for our anniversary/Christmas. The sales person told us that they'd be an extra 20% off on Friday when we looked at them about a week before. It was a planned purchase and I was willing to wait an extra week for another $200 off. They weren't crowded at all. Guess not too many people rush the mattress store on Black Friday.:confused3

Had a few minutes so I figured I would check in and see if the thread was still open. Must have been slow over the holiday weekend. I hope everyone had a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving! Put up most of the lights on Friday. Will try to get a pic up this week. Happy football Sunday.

We try to avoid this weekend like the plague but our schedule was not on our side. Saturday seemed like just an ordinary day to us so we lucked out. Hell retailers up here are catching on to the concept to keep Canadian dollars up here but there was nothing we were after that was going on sale. We did get a couple of movies that were on our get list that were dirt cheap, and we scored a Monster High guy doll for Amelia for like five bucks. I like the more varied variety of things available in the States then we can get here, some times it's just simple things like Cherry Coke. Also got a lot of cool little stocking stuffers etc. yes there are things that are cheaper too and we will grab things we need but don't buy for the sake of saving money.

I hate the stupid crowds we get in gage store at Christmas or like when a strike is looming , no desire to be a part of it.
