Well, guys, I don't know how much I'll be able to check in the rest of the day since I have an interview this afternoon and then we leave for Hawaii at the butt crack of dawn tomorrow. By the way, I don't recomment doing last-minute interview prep and last-minute vacation prep at the same time. I'm terrified they're going to ask me about required clearances for power lines and I'm going to give them the allowable size for carry-on baggage.

In any case, have a great week(s). Try not to wreck the place while I'm gone.:thumbsup2

Good luck with the interview and have a great time in Hawaii!

Hopefully you'll come back home to bigger and better things. :thumbsup2

Have an awesome trip. When my kids are a little older I'd like to get them out to Aulani. I just need to slack on the college savings for a few years.

Thanks guys. We figured at this point, we'll never keep up with tuition anyway.:thumbsup2

An actual Disney question...

For our trip in December, four of the six nights we are there are going to be nights when MK has the Christmas Party. The two days that are not party nights are also days that I happened to pick as non-park days. The problem is that I would feel like our trip would be incomplete if we didn't get to see Wishes at some point. If I were going in to MK on the non-party nights, that would be easy to do, but for a variety of reasons that is not an option.

Since our MK days are going to be days when the park is "closed" to non-party people at 7, what are my options for seeing Wishes? Enjoy the park until 7 and then goof off with no rides for a couple hours until Wishes begins? How does that even work on party nights anyway? Do they kick non-party people out? How's that enforced? One idea is to get an ADR at BOG for 6:30 or 7:00 and eat there. By the time we're done we could catch a parade and wishes following that.:confused3 That's assuming they follow the usual 8:00 and 9:00 for parade and fireworks.

Any thoughts?

Problem solved. We'll just hop back in to MK on a non-Party night. Not really fond of the crowd level that day (7.0) but it's better than missing Wishes.

Hey All! Missed a few days there. Been crazy busy. Belated Fathers Day, I hope everyone had a great day with your families.

Prayers to those in need, congrats where I missed and welcome to any new guys!

For Fathers Day, my DS pitched a full 7 inning game for an 8-3 victory yesterday. Great weather and now he has 2 of our teams 4 wins. Not great, but leading the way. After the game, we spent the afternoon on the golf course.

Now off to go see what I missed.

Nice! Did you know that JetBlue is flying into Worcester starting in Nov? We're flying back from WDW there, $60/seat. Great deal!

Hey Paul,

Sorry for the late response. Had 3 days in NY last week and have been playing catch up ever since. I think I heard about Worcester. I'll have to check and see what they have. Right now I think we are set with some pretty good flights, but $60 is an awesome price.

When are you heading down, I know after Nov.? Have time for lunch later this week?

OK Paul and Jim. The Stanley Cup Finals start tomorrow. I'm laying it out there for a bet of 1 Dole Whip on the series, I've got Chicago. (I say 1 each because I don't want to put you guys into too much debt). :lmao:

Sorry for the late notice, but I'm in. So far it's been an awesome 2 games! I'm sure everyone has already said that since I'm a week behind, but I figure it will take me until Wednesday to catch up!:lmao::lmao:

I forgot to mention we have gripping material that can be used on bats, golf clubs and tools. The wetter it gets the more improved your grip is. If anyone wants some samples to play with let me know. Seriously, I have sample rolls if this stuff.

Hey David! I could use some of that stuff in the summer. Clubs get a little slippery from sweat.

A second thought is to send some to Norms mailbox. We'll catch whomever is stealing those dues.:lmao::lmao:

I thought that I would mention a little perk that I have in this new job. I have been doing videos for the company, we are posting them so that our customers can see our product. They are water related so I pitched getting a water proof video camera to assist in my videos. They totally agreed and now I get to test it on my trip, so that I can "become familiar with how it works". :woohoo:It is a popular, small, well rounded camera that I would never be able to afford myself. I am hoping to have a lot of fun with it on our trip.
Side note, the videos are doing fairly well as far as views, so they are happy about that.

Nice job convincing management to buy you a camera!

I'd like to have some, David. Can you tell me how to wrap it around life?

Drive safe Mick... If you see Scott (also from Ohio), it's probably best if you pretend you didn't see him, and head in the other direction.
His families very pleasant though... ;)

:scared1: When did they start showing adult films at Disney? I've been missing out. :lmao::rotfl2:

Hey Guys.

Made it home from Winnipeg around supper time, apparently someone thought it would be good idea for it to be raining here. Wasn't like this anywhere else I was today. Not impressed.

Had a nice lunch with Brian during my layover in Toronto.

Got some great news when I got home. DS's school sports awards were handed out this afternoon and he was the co-winner of the school's rookie of the year award. Pretty proud Dad typing this!

Congratulations to Declan!

Thanks for all the info on the pre purchase photo pass info guys:thumbsup2

and now

:dancer::dancer: Paid off Aug trip today :dancer::dancer: I did not get a dining plan this trip since we are going to a couple parks other them WDW, they should really give you the option of picking how many days you would like the dining plan, like they do with park tickets:confused3

Paid off our (other than rental car) a couple of weeks ago. Congratulations. Make sure you save some dolewhips for the rest of us coming a little later.

'Hawks win!
Playoff hockey is without a doubt the most exciting thing in sports. March Madness is good but for jump-out-of-your-seat excitement. Nothing is better than this.

BOOOOOOO! But we won game 2. YAAAAAAAAA! Should be a good game tonight. I can already taste those free dole whips from all you Hawks fans.

I hear it can be done... :rolleyes1

We surprised them when they were 11 and 9. Got them all the way to the airport before they figured it out. Of course they both have trust issues at now.:lmao::lmao: It was a lot of fun. DD was very excited, DS who is very reserved was given her the "your nuts" look as she ran around the airport.

It can be done.

Have fun storming the volcano? :confused3

Also, good luck we're all counting on you. Besides, once you get that new promotion I can refer to my "high ranking government official" nemesis. :thumbsup2

A day early... but he won't be around tomorrow so...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEMESIS!!!

Wow Brian - thanks!

You're such a thoughtful Nemesis....sometimes. :thumbsup2

I'm 2 days late so that makes up for the early one. Happy belated Scott!

Hey y'all - check out my signature...

Just booked our next trip to WDW. Renting some points and staying at BWV. Super excited.

Congrats!

Watched Star Trek and Man of Steel today. Both were good but I'd say that Star Trek was a little better. No John Williams music. Oh- if you think New York got messed up in Avengers, wait til you see what happens to Metropolis! There were a few things I saw that pointed to the rest of the DC Universe, but not much. All in all a good day.

Hope to see Man of Steel this week. They have been running Superman Returns on cable this week so I think I'm up to speed.

Also saw Dark Knight rises over the weekend for the first time. Maybe it's not seeing it in 3D or the big screen. I found it to be just OK.

BOOOOOOO! But we won game 2. YAAAAAAAAA! Should be a good game tonight. I can already taste those free dole whips from all you Hawks fans.

Ummmmm..... No. Hawks are going to bring the game to Boston and be up after tonight.

My prediction, Kane - 2 goals, Toews - 1 goal, Crawford - shutout.

Bruins fans - crying in their Sam Adams.

Go Hawks!

Looks like a great vacation CJ, stay safe.

good morning!!! just checking in from Saratoga springs resort and spa.

Looks like a great time! Thanks for posting and let Briana know we said hello and will try to stop by in August!

Happy Birthday BO DUKE!!!!

*whispers*

Psssttt.... Darcy, Briana's a daughter... :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday Guys!

I was nervous when we only scored one in the first period. We totally outplayed you and only got one goal to show for it. You deserve to be up 2 games to none. I'm nervous about tonight.

With the way it's going each game will be settled late. Not sure I have any finger nails left. DS has been staying up and then it's hard to get him up for school and sports.

Stocked up the liquor cabinet and fridge yesterday. How much is left by tomorrow will depend on how much closer I am to that free dole whip tomorrow morning.:lmao::lmao:

Monday afternoon ownage! Not sure I want that one. Can we just jump to Tuesday?

Good luck in the interview!

Travel safe. We'll try to keep the place clean while your away. Unfortunately if the Bruins win the cup us northerners may mess the place up a little.

Problem solved. We'll just hop back in to MK on a non-Party night. Not really fond of the crowd level that day (7.0) but it's better than missing Wishes.

Just plan for ridiculous crowds on no-party nights. The last time we were there in October, everyone was there on the off nights to get a chance to see the parades and firework. It was so crowded that it wasn't all that enjoyable.

I wish you luck though. Hopefully it's not too bad.

My prediction, Kane - 2 goals, Toews - 1 goal, Crawford - shutout.

Go Hawks!

Kane is a wrestler, that's not how you spell toes and Crawford plays baseball when he's not hurt. Sounds like your confused.

Good luck. Rask won't give up 3 goals in any game the rest of the series. We saw the best the Hawks had in period 1 last game and they came away with 1 goal.

Hope to see Man of Steel this week. They have been running Superman Returns on cable this week so I think I'm up to speed.

I watched Superman Returns last night again. Really a pretty bad movie. I didn't realize until a few days ago when I watched the riginal 1978 movie that in Superman Returns when Supes comes back and saves the airplane and sets it down in the baseball stadium that he lifted a line from the 1978 film. "I hope this doesn't put any of you off flying. Statistically it's still the safest way to travel." I kinda liked that nod to Christopher Reeve. Thankfully the new one is not a sequel of Superman Returns, it's a reboot. Also, I agree with you on Batman Rises. Good not great.
Ummmmm..... No. Hawks are going to bring the game to Boston and be up after tonight.

My prediction, Kane - 2 goals, Toews - 1 goal, Crawford - shutout.

Bruins fans - crying in their Sam Adams.

Go Hawks!

We need Kane and Toews to do something big. Except for Kane's hat trick, they've both been pretty silent.

Anyone done the Agent P thing in Epcot? How long does that take? Touring Plans says 20 minutes and that sounds kinda thin.

It's been over a week so happy Dads Day to all, happy Birthday to all and hope all are well, healthy and enjoying the families.

Our "fantasy" vacation:
New Fantasyland - awesome for those that have not made it there yet to see and gonna be off the charts when the Seven Dwarfs coaster is complete as the big construction site in the middle takes away from it a bit. BLT with MK view room and top of the world lounge view of park is very cool especially during fireworks.
Fantasy Cruise ship - Ship is better than Dream as they took into design improving on the Dream, still both great ships. Service, as always was great and the Western itinerary was perfect for our family and we had as close to perfect weather as you could ask for. As far as keeping up with Blackhawks, the Fantasy has an Irish Pub that got all the hockey games so DS and I watched the OT win over L.A. and the triple OT game #1 vs Boston. Placed was packed both nights with folks in their Hawks gear.

Let me know if there are any specific pics folks would like to see and will post if I have them on pic forum or here if that is what some want instead. Tough to get back into the swing of things and again hope all are well.
