And we will be there for a dole whip. And we will bring something from Chicago for hunter.

Stewart is the son of Paul, our illustrious UK DisDad. (lawsontour if I recall correctly). He's currently working at Epcot in the Rose & Crown.

Over on the Facebook group when Dads are at WDW we try to find him and take a picture to post back for Paul at home.

Thanks for clearing this up, it makes much more sense now:goodvibes

Awesome, looking forward to meeting you guys:thumbsup2

good morning!!! just checking in from Saratoga springs resort and spa.

this place is ok but we like old key west. the newer dvc rooms are like living in shoe boxes with 20 doors. :lmao:

having a great time!!! spent some time sunday with briana. my fathers day present was she took me to the cast store. they sell, you name it!!! Christmas decorations they don't use anymore. 12ft fully decorated tree for $50.00.:lmao: flat screen monitors for $10.00. its the walmart for cast members. briana bought me a framed picture that hung in a room at old key west for $8.00.:lmao:

this was my real present!!

also got to meet a few dads along the way. I met up with will. ( will has the picture)

Justin:

all great guys!!! hopefully meeting up with mike this morning. I wanted to meet up with scott but brian told tammy to stay away from him. :lmao:
well, I have to do the laundry, the queen and the princess are on vacation you know. :lmao:

Awesome :thumbsup2

No it's not. Mike wears Hawaiian shirts. Besides, that's Jeff Foxworthy. :lmao:

:lmao::rotfl2:

Well, guys, I don't know how much I'll be able to check in the rest of the day since I have an interview this afternoon and then we leave for Hawaii at the butt crack of dawn tomorrow. By the way, I don't recomment doing last-minute interview prep and last-minute vacation prep at the same time. I'm terrified they're going to ask me about required clearances for power lines and I'm going to give them the allowable size for carry-on baggage.

In any case, have a great week(s). Try not to wreck the place while I'm gone.:thumbsup2

Have a great trip Mark and good luck with the new opportunity!

Guess who we met this afternoon!! Great meeting up with Stewart!!!

:cool1::cool1:

Anyone done the Agent P thing in Epcot? How long does that take? Touring Plans says 20 minutes and that sounds kinda thin.

It took us over 30 minutes just to do one part of it. There is a lot of back and forth.

Good morning guys!

CJ, great pics.

Thanks to all the dads down in the world for posting their pics. I even saw a couple with FED :thumbsup2

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS!!! sorry I missed it earlier, its hard to keep up.

Just returned the boat and took down the campsite from our little weekend excursion on the canal. It was a unique and enjoyable experience. A few pics...

Putting the tent up in the rain

Where we hired the barge for the weekend. The old salts call it a narrow boat.

View from the bow while we were on the canal

Inside the "narrow boat"

The best part of the trip is we camped and moored the boat by a pub called The Anchor. The building was constructed in 1855 and the same family has operated a pub out of there for over 100 years. Quirky place. Some of the patrons are a hoot.

The Loo. Probably also around for over 100 years.

You have to dodge the birds when you use the facilities.

Parking back at the wharf

Haven't caught up with the forum and doubt that I will so happy birthdays, congratulations, or sympathies depending on the circumstances.

great pictures cj!!! looks like your not in Kansas any longer! :lmao:

hope your having a good time. im on the lap top now with my glasses on so I could finally see the pictures. :lmao:

Evening guys....been a bit of a Beverly day. Connection issues again for a while last night and today, and we discovered one of our credit cards might have been compromised, as we were charged by somewhere we would NOT shop at. :headache: Will try to get further into it tomorrow, and figure out how to fix it.

Other then that things are cool, prepping for youngest DDs bday Wednesday, and plotting for August's trip.

That sucks... hope today gets better.

Morning guys. Rough week at work this week. Could use that trip to wdw right about now... unfortunatley it's 4 months away... :scared:

Guess who we met this afternoon!! Great meeting up with Stewart!!!

Great picture and meet.

Yup. And the LexCorp sign on one of the skyscrapers. Also the Wayne Enterprises logo on a satellite. I'm not really that observant- I did some reading online before I saw it.

I didn't notice the satellite, but cool though.

Stinks about the credit card. Hope it is not too much trouble to correct.

Norm, I can't bring you in my suitcase. I want to, but its just not fair to my nemie and the Canadians I know.

I was thinking the more accurate reason would be because I won't fit in the suitcase. But, thanks for thinking of me for a whole 1/2 second.

I'm probably guilty of more of the Jeff Foxworthy jokes than I'd like to admit... :lmao::lmao:

He is hosting some baking show on tv, although not doing many jokes. It is a show about food, so that's why I'm watching.

I hear ya. I really missed that Spring Break trip this year. But, it was nice to save the extra cash.

I cannot find my notes. Which dads are going to be at the World August 4-11, 2013? I know I planned to meet up with a couple dads and I thought I saved my posts. They're gone now so help me out and drop me a line.

:wave2: We'll be around Disney August 4-8th or 9th. (We have 4-8 booked at Boardwalk Villas, with the 9th wait-listed.) August 5th is the big ToT marathon.

We'll should be able to make Captain Cook's that night was well.

Morning Guys, Happy Tuesday.

Disney trip documents are suppose to be shipped to us today! :cool1::cool1:

Hope everyone has a great day.

Nice to have a game end before 11:00!:rotfl:

And being one game closer to the cup!

Hope today is better. We are finally done with all our plans. I'll post them soon so everyone knows where we are and we can plan a good meet up time.

I had someone get my cc numbers a few weeks ago and they charged over $600 on Itunes. Got it resolved in a day and they sent out a new card right away.

Just got notice on my year end bonus to be paid out next week. I got a good amount, plus a kicker for being the longest tenure employee! It's our 20th year in business so everyone is pretty psyched and in the giving mood.

Looks like I can replenish that vacation account and start planning for 2014.:thumbsup2 Already hinted to the wife that we should do a 5 day trip without the kids in October for food and wine. Planning Dominican Republic for February vacation already.

How's the corn looking, Andy?
Pretty good so far. We finished planting about a month ago. The stand looks good, all the anhydrous is on and everything is sprayed. It's up to Mother Nature now. Soybeans are all in pretty good shape too.

I know it is really wet in the northwest part of the corn belt, but we could use a little more moisture around here. We've been getting .25" - .5" rains basically once a week, which is great as long as it keeps going, but some of soil around here would really like to have a little more than that.

Even though we're still in good shape, I've got to admit, we're already feeling a little nervous. We keep seeing forecasts of 2 - 4" and then they break up at the state line or go north of us. Getting 2 - 4" in a day isn't necessarily good for the crop either, but this is the kind of weather pattern that we were dealing with last year. At least this time around we're getting some rain. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Good morning gents and hope all are well. 3 day work week this week after vaca due to DD's college orientation Thurs & Fri - not a bad deal :)

Nice to have a game end before 11:00!:rotfl:
Was that a game last night? My Hawks sure the heck did not show up. Don't want to take away from Boston as they have something to do with this, but can't tell if the Hawks are just out of gas or if Quenneville over reacted a bit by changing EVERY line due to the Hossa last minute scratch. DS & I need to get back on the Disney Fantasy as the Hawks won both games last week while we were on the ship.

I'm happy to see that at least the start of the season is OK. Hopefully the crops will be much healthier than last year. I'll have DD do her rain dance for you. How much water does the corn need per week to get the best results? I pretty much kill every plant I touch.

That ice was pretty rough last night. The puck was bouncing all over the place. Saw a video this morning about how the weather outside the arena, the crowd capacity and game times effect the ice conditions.

The theory I'm going with seems to ring through most sports. Defense wins championships. I think the teams are pretty even with an ever so slight nod to the Bruins on the D end. Should make a fun game 4 to see if Hossa is back. I think without him it could be a 5 game series. Good luck, but I'll be rooting for my Bruins.

Well, I'm not sure there's one really good answer to that question. It needs more water or less water depending on the growth stage. Right now we're in good shape, because it is better to not have the ground saturated at this stage in the growth. It allows the roots to grow deeper into the soil since the moisture isn't right there at the surface. Here in a few weeks though once it starts to pollinate, if I could order perfect weather, I'd want highs in the 70's or low 80's a steady breeze and maybe .25" - .5" in gentle showers every day.

Overall, according to research from Purdue, for a 200 bu corn crop, you need about 22" of rain in a growing season. Of course, if you get all 22" before July 4, you wouldn't have any crop at all. Last year we didn't get anywhere near 22", but what we did get was mostly in early spring or after the corn pollinated.
