I'm with you cj. Lebron is the best player on the planet right now - so much fun too watch.

Happy Friday guys :cool1:

Morning Duck. And a happy National Doughnut Day.

Norm, tough loss last night. Bad 4th quarter doomed them. Don't know how they could have better defended Parker at the end. That was a killer. Entertaining game though. If they win on Sunday, then this is looking like a great series. Have to win Sunday before going to Texas for three.

Everyone have a great day today in prep for a better weekend.

Morning gentlemen.

I'm half way through the work day and just checking in. lovely photo CJ. Dave, keep the updates coming.

Has she tried walking around WDW with a 4 year old?

Nope. But she is closer to 5, and hates strollers with a passion. She refuses to sit in the silly thing, and then we just have to drag it around.

I am going to throw our one umbrella stroller into our car prior to leaving, even if I have to hide it, so that we have the option. But my wife got rid of the strollers at 3, and refuses to use them anymore.

<shrug> She is the person in charge of the kids transportation and I don't step on toes when the wife defines her territory. It is so much happier that way.

But all good suggestions about taking a stroller just in case.

Thanks everyone!

My kids will turn 5 the day we get back. They have not needed a stroller in almost a year for the zoo or mall. We're still renting a stroller because I don't feel like carrying an overheated, tired and cranky redhead through WDW.

Good luck and have a great trip.

Another show was The A-Team, most of the stuff they did would probably work, but the chances of actually having all the needed things is pretty slim, I always got a chuckle no matter where they were trapped they always had a complete set of tools including cutting torch and welding supplies:rotfl::confused3

I'll always be grateful for the A-Team episode when they got locked in a barn at a farm and built a machine that shots heads of lettuce at the bad guys. Genius.:thumbsup2:rotfl:

I'd prefer to be at the park all day, but I don't think my family has the stamina. They could probably do it for a day, but to close the park down one night and be at rope drop the next morning would be tough. Plus if there are big crowds or the weather is super hot, I'm not missing much if I bail out for a few hours while the crowd is at its peak. Then I just come back when other people's kids are melting down and start leaving. I think I'm pretty smart about how I go about the parks so I'm still able to get a lot done and leave feeling like I got my money's worth.

If I had my druthers I'd stick around and take a more leisurely pace through the parks. But I'm Dad. Since when do I get my druthers?:confused3

I've never understood going back to the room for naps when Disney provides strategic spots for that, such as the Hall of Presidents, Tiki Room, It's a Small World, Country Bear Jamboree... :rolleyes1

While I did not dive last weekend because of the shoulder, DD and my Brit friend did. On one dive he ran into Crush. Largest Turtle either of us ran into underwater. Must have been 80-100 years old. Amazing creature.

Dude! Sweeeeet. :thumbsup2

:cool1: would be me, but the nearest bakery with a decent doughnut is about an hour away. They donate proceeds from a fund raiser for the Salvation Army today.

If I remember the map right, you have the Tiki Room, Hall of Presidents, Country Bears, and Liberty Belle fairly close to each other. On our Commando Day I plan on going counterclockwise hitting all the headliners. Then after we get to Adventure Land go the other way and hit the mellow attractions to cool down.

Didn't watch the game, but saw the score and highlights this morning. Looks like it was a good game though. Sorry they lost nemie. It looks like it should be a good series though.

Got free Doughnuts at DD this morning. They insisted I take them. Brought them for the guys at work since I don't eat them (see past posts regarding the loss of my gall bladder).

Morning Guys,

Happy Friday!

Hey Darcy!

They never said it was free decent doughnut day. :lmao::lmao: Here ya go!

Good point.

But this is an even better point. :lmao::rotfl2:

That might just be the best use for a head of lettuce, ever! :thumbsup2

I would even take a bad donut. DD has good donuts. Our nearest bakery is an hour away so the best I can do is the prepackaged mini "donuts" they sell at Wal*Mart that are 6 for $ in the checkout lane.

I put 3 hours each day after lunch into our schedule to go back to the room and nap. I am using touring plans and it still gives us plenty of time to hit all of the "big" things we want to do. Better to miss a couple of attractions than to miss an entire evening cause my kid had a meltdown.

Morning guys. No news is good news as my boss said the closed door meeting really had nothing to do with him or any of us. His boss just needed an office to take care of an issue while she was over here. :thumbsup2

Granted, I had my eye mostly on the hockey game last night (Go Hawks!) but from what I did see is that Miami is still struggling with identity crisis. Bosch thinks he's a guard, DWade must be injured or something because he has not been that good in the playoffs. Lebron can't be asked to guard Parker as that is one of the few guys who will wear him down. Miami seems to be going however their role players are going. Lebron will get his no matter what but for them to win at least 2 of Ray Allen, Haslem, and Cole need to be on fire.

In the end I think Duncan gets one last title and rides off into the sunset.

(For those of you stuck behind corporate firewall that bock youtube, the title of the video is "Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel Trailer". Description is "In the Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel special, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor and Hulk come to Danville."

Yes, it is as awesome as it sounds.

And then some.

GO 'HAWKS!!

nothing wrong with a 4 year old in a stroller at WDW.
We always go with a sit & stand stroller. The three year old can sit in front and if one of the others gets tired (which doesn't happen much anymore), they can hop on the back for a ride. Plus there's plenty of storage in the bottom for drinks and sandwiches. We don't buy much food in the parks (except dole whips) so we always have a fair amount of food to carry with us. And if nobody wants the stroller, no big deal. There's stroller parking everywhere.

On a MK day a few years ago, my then 1.5 yr old was crying like crazy and wouldn't stop. Wife took her to Hall of Presidents and she sat there with her for three consecutive shows while me and the non-crying kids hit haunted mansion and a couple mountains. The kind CMs let her just sit there because my daughter had fallen asleep. Plus my wife was very excited to have learned so much about presidents.

Agreed. Having a strategy like touring plans makes the nap much more doable. Without a plan for getting the most out of my park day, I'd feel like those were wasted minutes back at the room. I'm sure there will come a time when we don't go back to the room as the kids get older but I don't know if we're there yet.
