Evening gents, trust all are safe bu this tornando stuff is getting to be a bit much. Hope all enjoyed the weekend, still a bit of it left. We celebrated MIL 77th bday this weekend and I was able to get some yard work / gardening in and helped with some of the house cleaning as DW likes the place perfect before we go on vacations. Also started getting things put together for packing for next week and getting ready for our quest to "Find Briana" and get the proud Dad a couple of pictures.

Just sitting on the porch with a nice partagas black label (cigar) and a couple of fingers of Makers letting the weekend wind down and getting ready for the Blackhawks game #2 vs the Kings tonight.

LETS GO HAWKS!

Bachelor life is full of temptation. I need to get some groceries and the 5 gallon bucket of lard is a much better deal per pound than the 2.5 pound tub. :confused3 I suppose I should just be happy I get to buy and use lard for the next couple of months and go with the small tub. Don't want SWMBO knowing I am not using olive oil.

5 gallons of lard…
That is a mighty temptation.

Just think of the vast amount of biscuits and fried chicken you could throw together with that kind of reserve.

The tornados can let up any time now.

I see where one of the fellas that made a living chasing them down for television caught one…

Should’a let it go.
Very, very sad.

Prayers for all hurt by those monsters.

Sounds like a good day and a very fine start on the evening.

Just finished playing soccer and we were threatned with some mean looking storm clouds but nothing happened. Apparently there are some tornado warnings about 2 hours north of us.

Quick question. What kind of shoes does everyone wear? I have some old crocs that I wear all weekend and am about to replace them and wondered if these were the best bet for a full day in the park.

I'm glad you brought this up, it reminded me I need to get a new pair of sneakers, I always wear sneakers in the parks but they can not be brand spanking new, have to break them in to get that comfortable felling, if they are too stiff they tend to blister the back of the foot between the ankle:sad:, with long days of touring that can really put a damper on things:rolleyes1

What the Beverly!? I just took the garbage and recycling out and it's cold enlightened that I can see my breath! Someone tell Mother Nature that the calendar says June.

I was going to pick mine up in a couple weeks so the would be good and soft for the trip. I have tennis shoes but they start hurting my knees after 5 miles or so, and I don't want to wear my rockports cause they get so hot even though they have the best support. Just looking for what y'all have found is a good balance.

Morning David and all the other dads!

Just a little over 4 days until we depart for the world, with the last few weeks I've had I'm ready to leave now. Friday cant come fast enough.

matt

Morning guys,

Fun but rainy weekend in the Keys. While I still can't dive, DD and my Brit friend did and enjoyed themselves. First time she was under the sea since Hawaii. Headed over to the Brit's house a week from today. Can't wait.

Historical fact of today courtesy of the American History Museum.
Today in 1947: The Krispy Kreme Corporation formed, producing dry mixes used by the shops.

Hey CJ. Sounds like a fun weekend. And thanks for the history lesson. I feel smarter already. ;)

Morning Guys,

I am needing some strong coffee to get me going this morning after a long weekend of work. I'm feeling it may only get through to lunch and then it may be time to "work" from home for the rest of the day.

Happy Monday gentlemen!

I'm "working" from home today too Darcy...well except the "work" part. I'm just home. Today's my day off for the week.

The rest of the week will be spent implementing a new CRM tool at work. Trying to get a bunch of non-computer people to work with a new system after they've been used to an older system after 8 years.

Should be a blast! :rotfl2:

It'll be a week full of ID10T errors....I can see it now! :headache:

I usually have have sneakers and croc flip flops with me. I have worn both in the parks without much problem.
