Sort of, I just take the time off later on.

It is the only time we bring the entire Team NB together for the Canada Games. At the games individual teams are only there for one of the two weeks so before each games we do a weekend like this to rally the team. We have a lot of information sessions for the teams and parents plus it gives the mission staff a feel for what their days are like at the games, 12 hours plus most days.

Almost time to head back. We finish things off with a mock opening ceremonies that are open to the public.

Thanks, just a nagging cough at this point. My only two issues in the end are: 1) I have a very forcefull cough, so after a bit it starts to hurt. 2) A coughing fit tore some membranes last year which caused the blood cough-up which started the whole hospital tours etc.

Back home again but man am I tired. Finished up our team rally this morning just before noon, spent a couple of hours watching DS play soccer and now I'm having a nice cold beverage. All that's left is my own soccer game at 7 and pick DW up at 10. Hopefully they are not late returning from their trip.

Very Cool, some would say awesome

DW and oldest dd are doing dance dress rehearsals currently. Youngest dd has four performances and has to help with the younger kid show tomorrow. earlier in the year, DW was voted in as president-elect of city dance board of directors. No pay and not much perks, other than free tickets to some performances. So, this year, some of the board members, including her, agreed to do a kick-off dance for the private ticketed fundraising party tonight. I think it's a silent auction, but no way I can match what these people can bid on anything. But, we get free tickets, so I get to have a date with the president tonight. I spent this morning cleaning the house as best I could. I could get used to this stay at home dad stuff, but I know I worked harder this morning than I usually do all week.

Sounds like a nice night out for a good cause. Hope DDs and DW dances went well.

Bachelor life is full of temptation. I need to get some groceries and the 5 gallon bucket of lard is a much better deal per pound than the 2.5 pound tub. I suppose I should just be happy I get to buy and use lard for the next couple of months and go with the small tub. Don't want SWMBO knowing I am not using olive oil.
