Why not have the ale while you weigh the strawberries?

;)

Those were the college days. I took a plant anatomy class. Four of us in the class, lab from 2-5 on Friday afternoon of my last semester. Professor had a "slight" drinking problem. We had as much beer in the specimen freezer as we had samples. :lmao:

Or inject the ale into the strawberries, weigh them and then eat them. You know the old "two birds with one stone".:lmao::lmao:

Might throw my data off but it is an interesting idea.

We will call it community service, lol

They will need to learn how to support you in your old age right?

Hey Chicago dads? Can you get decent walk-up tickets to a Cubs day game? Yea, I know, they suck, but I've never been to Wrigley.

If it's anything like the Red Sox last year, they'll give you the tickets for free just to sell you a beer and hot dog.:rotfl2::lmao:

Have you tried GROUPON? Oh sorry, that is the Miami Marlins. Hey CJ, how many people does that shiny new park hold?:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl:

Good morning.

Or maybe you just don't see it until after they've made 10 or so other posts either here or in other threads... :rolleyes1

:magnify: I miss nothing. Ok that's a lie but the last 2 or 3 have posted the oops missed my milestone post.

Does this make sense:confused3

We were going to go to a minor league game tonight, until I looked at what time it started, it starts at 11:05am, now why would you have a game in the morning on a non holiday, middle of the work week & while the kids are still in school:confused3

Most of the attendants are families with kids, I thought the ideal was to get people to show up:confused3

Our local team does that for school field trip days or the start of a double header.
The other thing is when they have a road game the next day and need to hit the road as soon as its over.

It's probably field trip day or something, the are at home till Sat, our new plan is to go Fri night + they are having fireworks:banana:

I'm ready for the weekend. Our big hope for DS was to get him in the "local" (next county south) Civil Air Patrol squadron this fall when he starts 6th grade, but they have disbanded. He needs something to motivate him and show him their is life beyond the hollers of eastern KY. On a positive note, the Dean sent around notice of another 7% budget cut so maybe I won't be in the hollers in the future. :confused3

Bummer. Sorry to hear it's not there any more.:sad1: I wish we had stuff like that around here. My DS (7th grade) is going to caddy this year at a pretty high end course and he is going to get his lifeguard certification:beach: as well. Hopefully that will get him thinking about life goals soon. Right now it's sports only (which is not a bad thing either).

Does a cut usually mean personnel cuts or just reducing expenses? Prayers it doesn't effect you, but as with most cases....if your not in the 1% it ultimately will.:sad2::sad2:

A whooooole lotta' fail here....

For the record, this wasn't me..:lmao:

I *DO NOT* carry a weapon into Disney Parks....period.

And as full of fail as the incident itself is, the ridiculous anonymous commentators are chock-full-o even more of it. I will say I'm actually a bit relieved that the most strident of the commentators say that they now refuse to go to Walt Disney World (because the bonehead who left his loaded gun on DINOSAUR was told not to come back to the park). That's a few fewer numbskulls I'll have to deal with while my family and I are enjoying the theme park.

I learned a long time ago just to ignore the internet tough guys who won't even put their name to their own words.:rotfl2:

There's idiots everywhere...:)

Thanks Jim and congratulations to your DS. Important skills he is learning to make him a productive member of society.

I'll take it a day at a time. We really don't have any expenses left to cut so this will work out to being people somewhere. Eventually you don't have enough people left to do the work so there is no point in having facilities. That is where I am at now. I lost my research people last year so now I do things like weigh berries and plant crops. Glad I spent all those years getting educated.

This doesn't surprise me, the security checkpoints on the way in to the parks are not very through at all. Most of the time, you can bring a full bag as long as you hold it open, they pretty much wave you through.

True...the bag search itself is probably mostly window dressing and set up to catch the obvious.

I am, however, getting a great kick out of some of the threads on the boards which are making some wildly inaccurate statements about what certain bullets can/cannot do as well as other various and assorted firearms related comments:rotfl2:

Goodness gracious. :sad2:

Surely not in this group! :scared1::rotfl2:

I remember you telling me when we met up: "By the way, don't ever pick your nose in the Magic Kingdom. If you do, they know about it." :rotfl:

If the guy said it fell out of his pocket, then I'm guessing bag check ain't catching that weapon anyway. Frankly, if he had a concealed carry permit and was carrying it properly concealed, it is something that the typical crowded Disney security checkpoint isn't going to catch anyway.

I loved the legal comments that all the self-taught lawyers were bringing out on the link you posted. I might actually have to venture out of the safety of the clubhouse to see what all the gun experts on the DIS have to say. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:
