Jim, did you catch my post about the re-habs?

Just got back to the boards today. We usually do both and it's a bummer they are down. Last 2 times were there, RnR was down for rehab once and then was having problems staying open the next. RnR is DS favorite so it was kind of a downer. DD will be sad we will miss JC, but we have seen the muppets 3D every time so that will be OK.

I'll keep an eye out for any other changes.

DOUBLE POST

well, its been a long week. I have a few updates in the pub. I know everyone is tired of the topic and we are glad she is over the hump and is starting to get into the groove of things. she starts tomorrow in the park, on the carts.
here are some pictures:

her favorite, the new fantasy land!!!

Hope her first day was AWESOME! Thanks for posting.

Happy Memorial Day. Especially to all those that have served including their families.

Made it home yesterday without any issues. Nice vacation. The 24 hour thing was interesting but It took a while to recover. Can not imagine what the people that did the whole 24 felt afterward. Kidani is a great place to stay. Bit tired of the nonexistence of quick serve food options there though. You want to have a quick bite, you need to drive over to or get on the shuttle to Jambo. Good trip though.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday.

Hey CJ. Glad you had a good trip. Was it really busy on the 24th? It didn't look that bad from the camera, but it was hard to tell how the other areas were. If they continue to have these promotions, we'll get to one eventually.

Morning guys....

Day off today, going to lay back down, feels like a sharp rock is lodged in my throat. Can barely talk (not that anyone is compaining about that oddly) :rotfl2:

I think my Star Wars novel collection rivals the county library system.

Sweet. I counted 105 books or so on ghosts etc around 8 years ago, likely the number would hit 150 ish by now, I have only slowed because its harder to find new stuff on the subject.

Say it aint so!:sad1: DS still has never done JC and we were hoping to go this time. DD and I go on it every time we are there..

Yeah, looks like it:sad2: But deep down I knew SOMETHING would be down, nature of the beast. Mind you last time it as really only Tough to be a Bug :rotfl2:

Hey all. New in these parts, and getting ready to take my kids and wife down to WDW in June.

Also, a Disney Dad, and certainly an additional child for my wife to care for. :cool1:

To Your Health Gentlemen

It is fun playing here.

Congrats on 3K CJ. I'll be along to share a drink some day.

Welcome. Dues are payable in dole whips, bacon, beer, or cake. It's a ponzi scheme like no others - you mail 740 to me and I will distribute them. :lmao:

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Yup. He'll send em all right.

Oh, and Zerfass...I'll be in the G Car. You remember that one don't you?:rolleyes1:cool2::lmao:

Well, it would have been a good weekend if those signal flares had been answered...:headache:

Seriously, there's not much worse than being stuck at a wedding where you don't know a single person in the room.

As long as the weather is nice you can spend most of it outside. we have been to a couple of those. Had decent food and we didn't stay too long after dinner.

Yeah man, I know, my bad...

You guys that are there 17-18 June, I'll be in Orlando those two days and lurking about...

Lurking you say? :rolleyes1

Destination America is having a US of Bacon marathon right now!

Does it start with a bacon eating contest? :thumbsup2

From a TP Tweet, it got crowded closer to evening.

I hope they still have something like it for my kids....in about ten years!

Mine too. My plan to get them to live in FL so DW will retire there.

Norm, great job on the podcast :thumbsup2. I listened as I was running/walking last night.
?

Thanks.

Morning. Weighing strawberries from the research plots and whatever other trouble I can get into. Kentucky Ale in the refrigerator for later. I could get accustomed to the bachelor life again.

I guess we know how your Hump day ends. :lmao:

Morning guys. Anybody have a time machine that I can borrow to transport myself to Friday?:confused3

It should be there shortly. I set it to go forward in time, and should be there at 9:45 AM, unless Bif stole it again and created this alternate 2013.

Hey all. Back from baseball in CT. It was pretty miserable at the start. Saturday games got cancelled. Lost Sunday morning and we had a group of parents that just had enough so they voted to skip the rest and go home on Sunday. So we missed the Monday game(s) that would have been the playoff round.
.

Sorry to hear about the loss, but glad you had some fun with the family.

Saw that on FB. Hope you get to feeling better. I ain't afraid of no ghosts. Sorry, but everytime someone mentions a ghost, I think of that movie & song.

Thanks Darcy! I heard it, but no damage here, all is well! :thumbsup2

Glad you are safe.

Weather guy said the rain would clear out by mid morning. Three showers have passed through since. Needless to say today was a washout. So, we had a Toy Story Marathon.

That's my type of marathon.

What I always say is that a touring plan should NEVER be about being rushed from thing-to-thing. Rather, a touring plan is a guideline to keep you from having to rush from one thing to another and keep you from wasting time unnecessarily in lines. You can skip a step on a touring plan at any time. Just figure that each 20 minutes you do something else is about one step on the touring plan. You can jump back on the plan wherever you wish.

Agreed. Walking across the park zaps a lot of time.

The fluid of choice for pizza cereal is made with fermented malt beverages.
s.

Thry have to market it to kids. That beverage choice might not work so well.

Tell me about it brother. Our library calls us and asks to borrow books :rotfl2:

I like to download free library books to iPad.

Especially with a usual two year wait between trips. I do want to do another back-to-back year trip so that I don't have to stress about paying for a trip on a contract year. :scared1:!

You do have a further distance than we do.

.
if anyone is looking at the program or there kid is, I can try to answer your questions for you based on what we went thru. I can also point you to some good blogs by kids who have done and are in the program. the kids tell the story the best I find.
:

I may have some questions for you, but I still have about 7 more years before it's a possibility.

Does this make sense:confused3

We were going to go to a minor league game tonight, until I looked at what time it started, it starts at 11:05am, now why would you have a game in the morning on a non holiday, middle of the work week & while the kids are still in school:confused3

Most of the attendants are families with kids, I thought the ideal was to get people to show up:confused3

The local Baltimore O's minor league team - Norfolk Tides used to do a "Businessman's Special" from time to time and games would start around noon. Not sure why they did it either unless is was all due to some sort of scheduling issues. They'd usually run specials on the ticket price and offer discounted beverages and food. As you suggest, they usually were not very well attended but I went to a couple merely for the networking and discounted tickets/brew.

Plus Bacon is always a good bribe right?
The first time I read this I thought you asked if Bacon was a good bride. Either way, the answer is yes.

What about a funeral where you don't know a single person in the room?

Thought I would share this here with all the true bacon afficionados.

Gold and chocolate covered bacon!

Maybe you should ask the Cubs fans. It's so that less people notice the atrocities they are committing on the game of baseball. :lmao::rotfl:

We were up 2-0 against Chris Sale yesterday!!... And then it rained.

I know our minor league team (the Twins) has some matinee games during the school year. They try to cater to businesses and school field trips. The upper deck is full but the beautiful people seats are empty.

Hey Chicago dads? Can you get decent walk-up tickets to a Cubs day game? Yea, I know, they suck, but I've never been to Wrigley.
