SWMBO was bad on collecting book before, now with homeschooling. :rolleyes2

I'm bad for that. I love to buy, hate to get rid of. My ghosts/hauntings/paranormal book collection is EASILY better then the Mississauga Library System's combined.

if its closed, just gives you a reason to have to go back brent.:thumbsup2

Sir, I like your thinking! :thumbsup2::yes::

It is fun playing here.

Congrats CJ. Very well done. :thumbsup2

Destination America is having a US of Bacon marathon right now!

Bacon marathon you say?:confused3

That's the beauty of personalized touring plans. You can start with one of their suggested plans, and then tweak to your heart's content. When you re-arrange, you hit the "Evaluate" button, and you can see what the change you made does to your wait times.

The personalized feature is the best part of it. Being able to optimize the plan real-time based on things that come up during the day and change the plan is huge.

Def worth the subscription, imo.

hey I just want to thank everyone for your post the last week. :thumbsup2

they will start slowing down now that shes working. :rotfl:

there is a lot more that went on, all good!!! I just didn't post everything.

if anyone is looking at the program or there kid is, I can try to answer your questions for you based on what we went thru. I can also point you to some good blogs by kids who have done and are in the program. the kids tell the story the best I find.

I have to say, they treat you, your family, your kid with nothing but respect and are more then willing to help in anyway they can.

security?????? swoozie wasn't far off, those housing units are locked up like a prison. :lmao:

I think my Star Wars novel collection rivals the county library system.

Hey all. New in these parts, and getting ready to take my kids and wife down to WDW in June.

Also, a Disney Dad, and certainly an additional child for my wife to care for. :cool1:

So just wanted to say "Hi".

Welcome to the club. Grab a stool and pull up to the bar.

The thing that impresses me most is that you actually posted this on your exact 3,000 post. Most miss it by 10 or so.

Plus Bacon is always a good bribe right?

This guy learns fast.

Seeking some input from Touring Plans users. We have a membership but have actually only ever utilized it for the crowd calendars for planning purposes. If you have done one of the touring plans, or better yet used a custom touring plan how did it work out? Were there predictions fairly accurate and if so did it make sense to you? I am thinking about trying it but don't want to be zig zagging all over the park or feel like I'm rushing through things.

I have been playing around with mine for a month or so. I didn't like any of the preset plans but like the personalized ones. I arraigned the attractions to work in sections of the park and used to "evaluate" button to check times. I will let you know how close they hit the times when we get back.

I hope they still have something like it for my kids....in about ten years!

Morning men. Nice win by the Pacers last night :thumbsup2.

There were some questionable calls, but it's the NBA so I'm sure the Heat will get theirs in Game 5.

Norm, great job on the podcast :thumbsup2. I listened as I was running/walking last night.

Anyone been a part of Disney Institute training?

Hello & welcome! I'm the third child in my family too. You are not alone!

Morning all.

I just heard about a train derailment and explosion around Baltimore. Randall I hope it isn't near you.

glad you had a good trip cj. hopefully we can meet up one day.:thumbsup2

Looking forward to it.

well, its been a long week. I have a few updates in the pub. I know everyone is tired of the topic and we are glad she is over the hump and is starting to get into the groove of things...

Good for her. Keep the updates coming. My kid is thinking about the college program and I am interested in Brianna 's experiences.

I think I could manage. I still drive down there, leaving around 3:00 PM and arrive at 7:00 AM. Now, we don't do a park anymore, but we used to do AK on that first day. So, by th time it closed at 6:00 PM, I had that 24 hours in. I would like to try the 24 at MK. I figured I could go sleep in the CoP or PeopleMover a few times to get some rest.

When I took the Pirate Princess to school this fall I drove from Miami to just north of DC. 21 hours in the car. But the 24 hit me. Granted while she slept I stayed awake.

Glad you made it back home CJ. We arrived this afternoon to 57 degrees and cloudy / rain. I know your jealous. ;)

Great to see you again and meet Adriana.

Always good to see you. Nice meeting the kids. Weather sucks down here for the next few days. Rain and wind for the rest of the week. Heading to the Keys tomorrow and DD and my Brit friend hope to go diving. We shall see. At least it is warm though so no complaints.

I used Touring Plans for the first time this trip. Love it. We did not use a specific plan but the wait time feature helped a lot. From what I have heard from others, the personalized plans and using the optimizer are helpful. Interested in hearing your experience. If I understand it right you can customize your plan to minimize walking from one side of the park to another.

Morning. Weighing strawberries from the research plots and whatever other trouble I can get into. Kentucky Ale in the refrigerator for later. I could get accustomed to the bachelor life again.

Why not have the ale while you weigh the strawberries?

;)

I haven't posted to this thread yet. I think there's a few more I've missed.

but, good morning! and as always,

family time at the bar is still family time.

Good morning.

Or maybe you just don't see it until after they've made 10 or so other posts either here or in other threads... :rolleyes1

I don't know. I thought the Pacers were getting screwed until about the last minute of the 4th qtr. Some questionable fouls, the shot clock and then the Ray Allen/David West deflection (although it was hard to see, so I can't argue with them giving it to the Heat since it was the initial call).

The foul on James and the travel on Wade were phantom calls though. Still, I think it just makes up for the non-shot clock violation. That was crap.

Morning guys. Anybody have a time machine that I can borrow to transport myself to Friday?:confused3
No, but if you find one, I'm calling shotgun!

Hey all. Back from baseball in CT. It was pretty miserable at the start. Saturday games got cancelled. Lost Sunday morning and we had a group of parents that just had enough so they voted to skip the rest and go home on Sunday. So we missed the Monday game(s) that would have been the playoff round.

We stayed anyway and went to the Mystic Aquarium, which is very nice. The whales and rays were fun and got to spend some down time with the family in the pool and just hanging out. Back to the grind. I need to go back and see what everyone has been up to.

:wave2: Looks like this thread is moving a lot faster.

Got back to the house after working all day and had a present from my neighbor. Beer. He must have thought I needed to celebrate or drown my sorrows since I'm on my own for a bit.

Sounds like a pretty good neighbor.

Happy Birthday MIDDLEPAT!!!

Sorry it's late, but Happy Birthday!

I've heard that one, it is hillarious. I think he has another where a local carpet cleaning company calls him so he asks if they are able to get a lot of blood out of a carpet. The bit says he was so convincing the police showed up at his door. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think they said you need to book for 4 nights and it was 26,000 euros a night but that includes breakfast.

How many people can fit in one of those rooms. If we get enough dads, it will be a cheap.:rotfl2::rotfl2: And free breakfast is always a bonus.

Bit of a bummer...just looking around the DIS and discovered that both the Jungle Cruise and Muppet Vision 3D will be down while we're at WDW. :crazy2:

Say it aint so!:sad1: DS still has never done JC and we were hoping to go this time. DD and I go on it every time we are there..
