Morning gents...and the rest of you guys too,

Spent the weekend working in the garden, picking about 4 quarts of strawberries from it and then helped mama make jam and freeze them. Also worked getting the network and coax setup in the shed and on my shed, applied epoxy/paint to the floor. Ithink I may got a little high from the fumes, but it turned out well. Spent some quality time with the 4 week old DS trying to teach him to pull my finger. Finished the weekend on the couch enjoying the Captain and his companion Coke.

Now, back to work to get some rest.

Have a great week guys...we're closer to a three day weekend than we were yesterday!

Ok. It will be just her and her roomie in a one bedroom apartment!!! What she wanted !! And.

Drum roll please

Working in out quick service food in the magic kingdom!!!!

It's going to be ruff going to work in the magic kingdom everyday!!!!

:thumbsup2 Sounds awesome! Does quick-service include Aloha Isle?:confused3

Norm: sorry about all of the family drama. Use dory's advice and just keep swimming.

As for us, we've had a great first day yesterday. Got to meet Zerf and his daughter. Everyone did space mountain and splash mountain for the first time. Our oldest has some sensory issues so the fact she tried space was huge. She was having a hard time in line (fortunately we got on this first thing so the line was short so she didn't have too much time to get worked up. Afterwards she got off and said that wasn't too bad but said I won't do that again. I was so proud of her willing to try.

Today we are off to DHS. Looking forward to riding Star Tours. (Haven't been here since the refurb).

Prayers for those in need, praise for those deserving, bacon for all.

Sounds like a great first day! I'm glad your daughter was brave enough to give it a go.

‘Morning all…
It occurs to me that today is Monday.
Once that actually occurred to me it then immediately occurred to me
that I wish it hadn’t occurred to me…

Ignorance wouldn’t have been bliss, but
It would have been more tolerable.

They do it time to time to lure me into a false sense of security.

Just one of the perks of parenthood
:lmao:

Rental picked up, electronics charging and to be packed and laundry done. The kid is cleaning up the house a bit. Need to buy snacks and assorted refreshments then pack clothes. Hopefully leaving early am tomorrow. Looking forward to Storming the Castle.

That’s amazing news CJ
The kid was actually cleaning up the house a bit!?!?
Stuning… truly stunning…

Oh, and the bit about leaving for Disney in the morning is nice too.

Good plan. Wish I could get my DD to clean up the house a bit. I would be happy if she just didn't make MORE work. :sad2:

We only get fiddleheads in the spring and then they are gone.

About like the way strawberries work ‘round here.
We buy as much as we can carry and enjoy ‘em before the season ends.
Don’t even bother buying them in the stores afterward.

Once you’ve had the real thing, it’s better just to wait a whole year for more
then it is to settle for the miserable excuse for the berries that are imported
later on. They’re just a sad imitation.

Happy Monday fellas. It's short work week for me. After Wednesday it's a five day weekend :cool1:

Thursday we are running the food table/bake sale at our local home school curriculum & used book sale. Prayers for it to be a success would be appreciated. Also, pray I don't eat all the cookies before Thursday :lmao:

A short work week sounds like a winner
And I do hope that the bake sale is a success.

Congrats on the young’ens broadening their horizons.
I’m also looking forward to trying the upgraded Star Tours.
That should be a lot of fun.

Well done to your DD and i hope you are going to hit Muppet Theater. That is one of my must do's at DHS.

A must do for us as well.
Make sure to check for the key in case the door is locked.
They always leave it under the mat.

Briana and the roomie. The roomie is a great kid

I do believe that she’s going to be just fine.

Is there something wrong with vista way?

Let’s just say that its reputation precedes it.

Ok. It will be just her and her roomie in a one bedroom apartment!!! What she wanted !! And.

I look forward to meeting her down there one day. I am jealous she gets to be in MK everyday!!

A Disney Morning to you all. It was Dance Recital weekend here which meant lots of running around Friday evening and Saturday. All three of my girls were in the recital on both days. I attended the Friday showing with the rest of our family. DW went to both Friday night and Saturday's showings.

Even though they were in a total of eight of the dances, it seems that the other songs in between theirs tend to last just a bit longer. Of course, three hours of watching twirling and tapping will make you start pondering the meaning of life... :rotfl:

I also tried to put in my time to get the neighborhood pool cleaned up and ready for opening next weekend. The official cleanup day is next Saturday but I'll be at graduation parties for nieces and nephews.

I hope everyone else had a good weekend too. Now, if you're not Canadian, get back to work! :surfweb:

On my way to vista waaaayyyya!!

:lmao: They actually let you through the gate? :thumbsup2

That's awesome that she tried it. Have fun storming the Galaxy! :darth:

Quick Serve... Magic Kingdom???

Does life get any better...

Dave, honest question... are you more proud or jealous at this very moment???

My DW and DD are both very nervous, reluctant riders... neither have been on Space Mountain or my favorite MK ride, Splash Mountain.

Good morning Guys.

A glorious Monday it is, given that is a holiday here.

Great to hear about your daughters placement Dave, sounds like a great assignment.

Good morning... if that is possible on a Monday. Been a busy weekend.

Hope everyone who is at Disney World has a great time. I'm just sorry I missed out on my chance to stowaway with Brian.

Dave – congrats to your daughter. I'd be so jealous and would so be living vicariously through her!

Good morning gents, trust all are doing well and are looking forward to a 3 day weekend coming up. Back in town from business travels and getting ready for graduation week for DD (high school). Our home will be the celebration location Saturday for DD and her BF so should be an enjoyable weekend to clebrate the kidos.

Congrats again Dave on Briana and we will keep an eye out for her when we hit MK on Friday 6/7.

Got to save my battery but she sent me some video of casting. Ill post when I get home

She will be working on a cart (I e cream, pop corn nut in the mk. The do cross train so maybe have a chance at aloha island!!!!

Wow, I'd think a cart would be even better, because she'll be able to see more of what's going on in the park!

Although an air conditioned building would really be nice in the summer time! :lmao:

When are you going? Congrats to DS. He obviously takes after his mother.

Headed to the Keys yesterday with the DD. Had a nice lunch. The kid that dared to asked my daughter to the prom is in the Air Force Reserves stationed in Homestead (yea Norm, he is still hanging around). He decided to come down when he got off duty. He didn't go home first so he was still in his BDU's.

Since he was picking her up and I got a great rate at the hotel I decided to stay the night. Nice break. The Princess wanted to go to dinner so they went to Sundowners. If you are in Key Largo, it is a nice place on the Gulf side. Reasonably priced but not cheap.

They enjoyed dinner and when they asked for the check, the waitress let them know that another patron anonymously picked up their tab. Very nice gesture and the kids were flabbergasted.

So here is a shout out to someone that will never hear it but it meant a lot to them. I told her she needs to remember that and when she can do that for someone in the future, to pay it forward.

All in all a good day yesterday.

We'll be arriving late morning on 8/21 and heading home on 8/28. If you find yourself driving around a really large castle, let us know and we'll plan to get together.

Yes, I have been told all of the positive attributes come from her side of the family. Every time they are in trouble, I get "the look".

Glad you had a nice dinner. Sounds like a good kid. I'd still keep an eye on him.:lmao::lmao:

Congrats sir!

Graduation is fast approaching for us as well. Spring Concert tonight, awards ceremonies tomorrow, final exams next week and then they’re pretty much done until the official crossing of the stage. That’s not until June 7, but the time will fly pretty quickly I’m sure.

She will be working on a cart (I e cream, pop corn nut in the mk. The do cross train so maybe have a chance at aloha island!!!!

There are a lot of carts in the MK but only a couple of folks working each one at any one time. She should be pretty easy to spot on the days that she’s on duty. The heat and surprise rain storms may become challenging from time to time though, but I suspect that management keeps an eye on those potential pitfalls.

That assignment also offers a degree of autonomy. Not so many other folks all vying for the same real-estate at the same time. The guests will obviously keep her very busy but there shouldn’t be too much drama related to co-workers on that kind of assignment.

Glad to see Brian and Dave got to meet up. CJ, enjoy your time at the World as well! And sorry you might have to see Brian.
