DS has been riding with me in the tractor again. Thought we were going to have to go to the ER last night when he shut his finger in the door. I don't think it is broken, but I'm pretty sure he'll lose a finger nail. He screamed like crazy and after we went home and cleaned it up, he wanted to go back with me instead of staying home with mom. This morning, he was supposed to go to the sitter, but asked to go with me instead. He stayed in the tractor all day, even after it tried to take his finger yesterday. He definitely has a new respect for that door now though.

Sorry to hear about the finger. Poor fella. But it is pretty cool that he wants to hang with his dad so much. :thumbsup2

Top of the morning guys. Met with a customer yesterday planning his first family trip to the World. They have two rooms at CBR because he has 5 kids and his MIL is coming. He is very excited. We ended up talking about his trip for almost two hours. I love those types of meetings :thumbsup2

Talking Disney with folks is always a good time.

Going to brace myself today, we are due for a storm of customers today. :rotfl2:Midnight tonight is the zero hour, so everyone (customers) will be in full panic mode. Can see our store easily topping $100K for one days sales. Everyone will be in too, full shifts.

Isn't it funny how the budget can't give people full shifts the rest of the year, even Christmas, but suddenly there is everyone schedualed. This is a scam.

Hope this thing blows over for you quickly.

Happy Thursday everyone - it's the greatest day of the week. Why, you ask. Because the weekend is finally in sight but Monday is still FAR away!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hi everyone. Looks like I'm 20 pages behind. Hope all is well with everyone. I've taken the last few days of from the office job and been working on the farm. Just finished a 16 hour day and laying in bed unable to sleep. We've been racing the rain and I hear thunder right now. Only 70 acres of corn left to plant, but it is wet ground that we just worked up this evening and it needs to get some more air and be worked up again before we plant it. We could be done with corn early tomorrow afternoon if the rain holds up. Still a few hundred acres of soybeans left to plant though.

Ouch! Hope he heals up quick. pixiedust:

I am still behind on field work and it doesn't look like it will be improving anytime soon.

Saw this message tonight on FB whn I got home, an earth shattering message fromthe union :rolleyes2

So we are at T-30 hours to go...the team is bargaining hard still. We know how busy everyone has been, and how much busier tomorrow will be. I (Felicia) am reminding all of you to pace yourself don't work unsafely, please try to not stress out, take your breaks and lunches. I know it seems like a good idea sometimes to work beyond means but remember this the LCBO has had months to settle, they have pushed us all to the day before for a reason, they want the sales and are not sorry if has gone this far. A and B store workers please make sure bargaining unit work is not being done by managers if it is contact one of your stewards. Good luck to everyone out there in this final push for a fair contract. A giant thank you to the Bargaining Team, Mobilizers, Staff, and members for giving so much of yourselves during the past few months....we are all here supporting your efforts. Keep up the great work everyone!!! Let's go get a Fair Deal!

Anyone got a shovel for this BS?? :rotfl2:

I got a shovel. Not sure it's big enough. Good luck.

Are you volunteering for the academic job or to shave him?

:rotfl2::lmao::lmao:

Glad DS is OK. Good luck getting the corn planted. If your not careful, you'll train yourself right out of a job.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Even better for us as Monday is a holiday.

Morning guys, have a great Thursday!

What holiday is it up there? Maybe I can convince everyone that I am Canadian and need the day off.:thumbsup2

It is Victoria Day. You guys seem to like all things Royal down there (never quite understood that) so take the day off and celebrate with the rest of us.

:)

‘Morning all…
Got busy and missed a good bit.

You got a trooper there my friend… errrr… I mean nemesis. Sorry he got hurt, glad he got over it. Good to see that he learned from it, better to see that it hasn’t affected his determination to stay with what he likes (which seems to be hanging out with dad).

I do believe y’all are in good shape.

Oh, and prayers for continued decent weather and a successful planting.

Sure beats working.

Unless you can turn conversation like that into your job that is.

Prayers for you sir and more for the idiots that are arguing over your livelihood.
May they act like adults and find some common ground.

I never understood the fascination either. Y’all can keep ‘em. I’d like to see us develop a bit more of your nation’s sense of fairness and social conscious, but the ‘Royals”; them you can keep.

It’s an interesting day in our miniscule world down here.

There’s been one of those major shifts in reasoning that occurs within those households blessed with young’ens. Today is the day that all arguments officially (and legally) move away from the notion of “Because I said so…”, and land squarely in the realm of “Hay, my house, my rules; don’t like it… well then there’s the door”. I am no longer the legal guardian of anyone other then myself (and maybe the cat… I was never in charge of DW and that’s a good thing).

According to the laws of the land my son became and adult today; responsible for his own actions, and due the same benefits and/or constraints that befall all the rest of us (with the exception of having a beer, which in my opinion is wrong, unfair and improper… either you are an adult or you aren’t… but I digress).

Anyway… I’d like to publically wish my son a happy 18th Birthday.

Apparently yesterday's sales were already topping $100K, so heaven knows what today will bring. Staff's attitudes are tense at best, and management have started the BS. Been removed from the job I assigned which I am fastest at for some reason, and put on another one. It's management BS at its finest.

Well, in that case...WELCOME TO ADULTHOOD and a Happy Birthday too!!

We are ramping up for the big Phineas and Ferb – Where’s Perry Birthday Party this Saturday for the soon to be 8 year old. Our house is slowly turning into a P & F house! I Love it when my DD has birthday themes I can get my head around, no princesses for her! The Star Wars one when she turned 5 was epic, a backyard full of 'em all with lightsabers.

Good thinking, not trying to be in charge of DW. Better thinking, let HER be in charge of the cat. Even Better thinking, get rid of the cat... ;)
