Looking at the map, it looks doable. It would be sometime Saturday morning. When are you leaving?

Either Friday night or Saturday. If it's saturday I'll shoot you a text.:thumbsup2

I was going to try to join in, but we'll be in North Conway by Friday afternoon at the latest. If you find yourself in North Conway around lunch time, let me know.

How long are you up there for? We very well may end up in that area some point in the next week, it's about 35 minutes from our place in Maine.

Well... looks like we'll miss another meet, Ron. :( We are having VBS that week and I'm part of that magic so I can't miss it. Hope you have a great time visiting!

I'm starting to get a complex here:scared1::lmao:, I guess I'll just play the lottery heavy those days :rotfl2:

Our last Team Building event was Frisbee Golf with some additional team building twists added in at several holes. Most everyone thought that it was a good event and I believe that it was fairly cheep to do (the VP that organized it is very money conscious).

Hey! Frisbee golf actually made it on the list today. Not sure if it will make the cut, but sounds fun.

If you can, look into the Disney Institute maybe not for this but for other business development / team building. I organized a group for work with 1 person from evey functional area to go a Quality Service program. Great insights from a business perspective plus these things are held at the world including behind the scenes tours and how they put into real life the stuff they share. Lot more than $25.00 per head though

http://disneyinstitute.com/

Ummmm... yeah... just a wee bit over the budget :rotfl2: But seriously like this a great thing to do for the business. Thanks for the suggestion :thumbsup2

Let's see - how about a day at the beach? Caterer would be about that for a BBQ (with bacon, of course). You could build sand sculptures. :lmao::lmao: We have done a dinner/sunset cruise and dancing, but I think it was a little more than $25 a person and not sure what team building there is unless you toss someone over and then save him.

Did you check on line. There must be a bazillion companies that do this sort of thing. Good luck> I'll ask around. I have a few friends that do the team things every year.

Yep... beach outing is on the list now, too. Only thing about outdoor activities is the weather. But we've survived outdoor activities in the past, too.

Went home for lunch and as soon as I walked through my front door I was engaged by a hostile 5 year old armed with a repeating Nerf gun.

Caught off guard, I had but one option to "UnA$$" the area, regroup and consider options.

Lunch hour in the Fed Household

Soooo... how exactly does one "UnA$$" the area? :lmao:
Sounds like the perfect lunch to me!

Hire me. I'll put on a good show. :lmao:
:lmao: I have NO doubt that you do.

Dave.... your gonna make us all cry.

:grouphug:

I'm sure this one will be framed and hung somewhere in the house. Must be a very proud DIS Daddy :)

I'm not sure how this happened, but here at work I've been nominated to head up a committee that will decide what our team-building event will be for this summer.:confused3 We have 65 people under the VP that wants this event to happen and I have about $25 a head to work with. The only stipulations for the event are:
- No amusement park (they know me well enough :lmao:)
- Must have some form of team-building to it
- Don't go over budget.

So... anyone have any ideas? popcorn::

Could always go searching for Bigfoot, buy beer and snacks, and maybe some Depends for those who scare easy:lmao::rolleyes1

Evening guys...the build-to-long-weekend fun begins! Co-worker brought in 8 skids of beertoday, and surprise surprise he was off till Thursday, got it all done, but yikes it gets worse the closer we get to the weekend.

Yay for back to normal! boo for feeling kind-of funny Hope it's just a sympathy feeling and not the warning signs of sickness to come.

I am really surprised to hear your kids are still in school. When do they go back to school in the fall?

No change on my status, DW is in rough shape though. Not to mention shetook the gorls swimming yesterday, forgot to do her own sunscreen, she's a lobster right now, lots of pain.

School starts the day after Labour Day, ends last day of June. Last year the last day was on the 30th I think. :sad2:

104 days of summer my butt. Phineas and Ferb are liars :rotfl2:

Morning Guys,

Taking the day off after 3 weeks of being on the go non stop. Going along with next Monday's holiday I will have two long weekends in a row.

Hope you all had a great weekend. We spent it traveling for soccer but I did manage to catch the live podcast Saturday, great job guys.

Hope you get some R&R soon.

My name is Brent, I sell alcohol for a living, and I approve of this message. :thumbsup2

Paintball?

Not the penguins again!:faint: Paul and I are going to string fishing line across the boarder about an inch off the ground. It works with seagulls and ducks. They hate that #%@$^#$&.:lmao::lmao:
Three simple words: Teeny Tiny Scissors. :rotfl2:

Not yet...ohhh......You set the fireworks off too early.:rotfl2::rotfl2: Have a great time. We have been up there a few times on vacation and enjoyed the area very much.::yes::

It happens after you hit a certain age

Caught off guard, I had but one option to "UnA$$" the area, regroup and consider options.

Once the offender was clearly out of ammo and unable to reload, he made a quick retreat to his stronghold in the back of the house. In true insurgent form, he then reappeared unarmed and seemingly oblivious to the attack.:confused3

At that time, a second ambush was launched by an Irish 30 something Banshee, utilizing same Nerf style weaponry.
anim_rocket.gif

I again conducted a tactical exfil in order to regroup.
anim_brick.gif

By the time I returned, both suspects were perched on the couch feigning innocence, and indignant that I would accuse them of such a brazen attack.:rolleyes1

At this time....a counterattack is being planned.
anim_dracula.gif

That is all.

:rotfl2::lmao: The report was the icing on the cake you should submit it to work.

Well, I got a letter in the mail last week telling me to call the courthouse this afternoon to see if I have to report for jury duty tomorrow. The phone call has been made.. :headache:

Wish me luck.:faint:

Never hadthe pleasure, good luck getting out of it.

Great pic!

HAWKS WIn! HAWKS Win! What a finish and comeback by the HAWKS! What a series and my heart goes out to the Boston fans.

glad to here he is interested and has time to look into the program. if you read the college boards on the dis, the kids for the most wont give you bad info. briana was ready for housing, she got lucky, she got a one bedroom apartment with only one room mate. they had a room inspection while we were there last week and they passed. :lmao: I guess they are just looking for dead bodies and beer.:lmao:

:rotfl:

So then…
both are acceptable so long as they aren’t found during an inspection? :rotfl2:

I paid my own way thru college, but DW insists we pay for dds. What's up with this trend?

Me too, but it’s gotten frighteningly more expensive percentage of income wise since the beginning of 1981.

CJ is paying for college, European vacations, and camper hookups. See Rob, it's possible.

True, but do any of us really know how CJ acquires all that cash?

Also, the Pirate Princes earned better scholarships then my young’en did.
Just how it goes… universities tend to offer help in about the following order:

Spots, Sports, Sports, Sports, Academics, Sports, Sports, Sports, Sports, Arts.

Max’ passions and abilities come in last on that list.

How much pay is jury duty?

Well, let's just say there might be enough to upgrade that extra value meal to a large at lunch...

$15 for showing up, $40 if I'm selected on a jury

Bettere then the rate in SC…
$7.50 per day (and you even get to claim it as additional income :sad2: )

I think I am beginning my mid life crisis :confused3, At work I am a old timer (since 1986) most of the people at work could almost be my kid ,when compared to people on TV, lately it's been Barry from storage wars & Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty:rotfl:, at get togethers with friends we all talk about retirement how soon and how we plan to get there:scared1:

It's not all that bad though, still young enough to try new ventures & have many friends that are in the same boat, that I have been friends with since before we went to school, on the way back from Va we are all meeting up at one of my friend's house in Del to see if we can start the ball rolling, at least through ideas on the table:confused3

HAWKS WIn! HAWKS Win! What a finish and comeback by the HAWKS! What a series and my heart goes out to the Boston fans.

Don't think Boston should have took a page out of the Leafs' playbook there.

:rolleyes1

Congrats to Chicago! and Thank goodness the season is over, this is way too late for the playoffs to go.

Morning guys....finally some rain, but I don't think it'll break the humidity. At least the store is well air conditioned!
