Got some bad news recently. FIL (only 63 and in pretty good shape) went to the doctors, they ran blood tests and after an anomaly with his platelets count, they sent him to the ER and he was then admitted. The next day he was diagnosed with Leukemia. So the long journey to beating it has begun. The treatment plan is mapped out and from here it's all prayers and probabilities.

Prayers....Make sure he keeps on fighting. As long as he keeps fighting, he'll win. Dad's got cancer all over, keeps battling, doesn't look all that bad and stays active.

Prayers....Make sure he keeps on fighting. As long as he keeps fighting, he'll win. Dad's got cancer all over, keeps battling, doesn't look all that bad and stays active.

He's a super good guy and very resilient. We've been giving him tons of comfort by visiting early and often Major challenge is keeping my wife and sister-in-law positive. My wife is a pharmacist and all over the drugs, so we have that going for us!

Just got a text a few minutes ago that his 'super drugs' just arrived and he will begin the chemotherapy tomorrow. The plan is 3 weeks to get it into remission. Then assuming a matching donor, marrow transplant. And all of the monitoring, side effects and risks that go along with it. But all we can do is stay positive, keep fighting, praying and being there for him.

The kind words and prayers are sincerely appreciated.
