Ok... I just added 3 more sequels to the list of movies I want to see...

The ones I was thinking of in particular were Hangover 3 and the new Fast & The Furious movie.

Fast and the Furious is on my rental list. I'm looking Forward to Percy Jackson and The Sea of Monsters.

We all know Andy is really lining up to watch Leonardo DiCaprio's take on The Great Gatsby. :crazy2:

Hey guys. Been a pretty busy week or two at work as 2 barges of our steel were sunk in an accident on the Illinois River. I'm the point person and there are numerous levels of management wanting answers every 15 minutes it seems.

I've been sneaking a little time to read here and there but haven't had the time to really participate in the conversations. Thought I'd pop in for the movie talk. I love movies but since my first DD was born I'm probably only averaging getting to a theater to watch maybe twice a year and usually that is whatever we are taking DD's to see.

Never the less, I do have a wish list of movies I want to see this summer: Hangover 3, Monsters University, and The Lone Ranger. I somehow managed to not see any of the Pirates movies until about a month ago. Watched the first one on demand then caught the second this past weekend on cable. I'm hooked and plant to knock out the most recent 2 this weekend if the girls go to bed early enough.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Um... no. :lmao::rotfl2:

Good luck with the barge situation. Sounds like a real pain in the butt.

I guess I can add 2 more to the "want to see" list. Monsters University and the Lone Ranger.

How in the Beverly have you not seen any of the Pirates movies until a month ago? :scared1:

Alright, I'm sure my man card is at stake here, but I'm actually looking forward to this one. I'm a huge fan of Gatsby (the book) and DiCaprio usually does a decent job in protraying arrogant SOBs. (My favorite is still Gangs of New York).

I'm patiently waiting for Star Trek into Darkness. I only get to one, maybe two, movies a summer.

I'm looking forward to that one.

Driving cars to save the world. DW laughed that it couldn't be possible during the previews at GIJoe. Little does she know.

That is a tricky one. I did like Inception, but that was about it.

I skipped lunch and snuck away from work a couple hours early yesterday. To get some more work done on the farm. I've been working up ground in front of the planter with this rig. Had to stop for some fuel. It kind of hurts when your fuel gauge still shows a half tank and you top it of with 150 gallons of diesel. :crazy2:

It burns about .7 gallons per acre.
]

That is some bill. Anyway you can sneak that off from work as well?

The Avengers wasn't Iron Man 3? :confused3

(this is a HUGE joke in my family that someone will always say when Iron Man 3 comes up. Sad that we won't be able to do that much longer...)

He did have an overly prominent role - way too strong a character in that movie. Still entertaining.

With 4 baseball games, 4 hoop games, 1 soccer game and other family commitments I don't see much internet time this weekend so I hope everyone has a good weekend and I guess I'll see you on the new thread. I figure we'll hit 250 by tonight and then the race will be over by Monday morning. Good luck.

Good luck to them all.

Good call on declining my invitation. I was a bit disappointed by Iron Man 3 and not just because I dropped $16.50 on it. It was only OK. Probably better than the 2nd IM, but not up to the standards of the first one. Oh yeah- if any of you are going to see it, don't bother with the IMAX 3D. It really adds nothing.".

Thanks for the review. DW has the hots for Iron Man, so I'll go see it with her on the off chance ....

Thanks....the discount isn;t huge though. We always get the most out of the DP.
Mind you, the discount offered in that PIN back in Jan was substantial.
:

That's why we did DVC. I ate every penny out of the DP, but the savings on the room still offset the food. Plus, we like eating differently than the DP - apps at meals as opposed to dessert.

Good luck to the kids Jim.

Hey, don't bring Fed's ride into this discussion. :rotfl2:

Yeah, I had to go there.

So are the Bulls going to finish off the Nets? Getting close to vacation time. Are you doing the 24 hours on the 24th? We will be there and the kid wants to.

Waiting for cocktail time and getting ready for the B-Ball games tonight. Could be some good games.

Hope everyone has a good weekend and those of you that will be playing, enjoy closing out the thread.

Golden State has been fun to watch. Miami looks unbeatable, but that was against the Bucks. Great that Dwight Howard showed just how big of a jerk he really is. I would never want him on a team. The Nets didn't seem all that purposeful last night, but it was a good game. I don't like all the booing in the Houston v Thunder series, since Westbrook is just as dirty of a player as he accuses the one who injured him to be.

Good luck in all the games this weekend. DD has soccer tomorrow, but they don't keep score. Makes it really difficult for me to bet on the games with the other dads there...

Evening guys,

sitting in my hotel room with DS tonight. I had to present at at sport dispute resolution conference this afternoon so I brought him along. After my presentation we headed to the Imax to see Ironman 3 in 3D. Excellent movie!! If you go to see it, stay to the end of the credits.

We are watching the hockey now but need too turn in soon. DS has a soccer game at home in the morning and it is a 4 and half hour drive to the pitch.

Miami is just practicing and waiting. One concern is Wade's knee. No contact and limited practices. Agree GS is fun to watch but I am really enjoying the Bulls/Nets series. Carmelo is another guy I would not want on my team. Can't wait for the next round to start.

Also tough to fix a game if they don't keep score.

Not sure about the Bulls. They are playing half squads these days.

Not doing the 24 hour night. We're doing DHS that day for SWW. Besides my DDs wouldn't make it past midnight. However we do have park hoppers. Hmmmmm.

5:00 am Dole Whips perhaps? Except I will have a Citrus Swirl instead. We have to figure out a meet up time during the trip. Looking forward to meeting the family.

Morning to you Duck and everyone else out there.

Happy Kentucky Derby Day. Norm, I will be tossing back a Makers Mark while they play My Old Kentucky Home before the race. Somewhere on my bucket list is to attend a Derby. My pick is Verrazano so if you are a betting man you can scratch that one off your list. Guaranteed to lose.

Thanks. Going to a derby party today (state law). I did the infield at the derby - smuggle in your booze and watch drunk, topless girls chicken fighting between races. It is difficult to watch the race, but I wasn't watching the race. I would like to toto Millionaire's row one day, if I ever won the lottery and could be there. I haven't even looked yet, but I won $20 last year off the race.
