Iron Man 3 opens today.

Good Morning! Coffee is starting to kick in finally.

A day in the field today, Homeschool Achievement Night tonight, taking the Girl Scout Troop to Gatti-Town in the big city (a fancy Chuck-E-Cheese) tomorrow, responsible for kids' church on Sunday. I need to hang in the office next week and try to get some rest.

I skipped lunch and snuck away from work a couple hours early yesterday. To get some more work done on the farm. I've been working up ground in front of the planter with this rig. Had to stop for some fuel. It kind of hurts when your fuel gauge still shows a half tank and you top it of with 150 gallons of diesel. :crazy2:

It burns about .7 gallons per acre.

Thanks, surely I know that you're all counting on me! :thumbsup2

We are counting on you. And don't call me Shirley.

I was showing DS a You Tube clip of Jedi Training Academy today. I left the laptop open to make lunch. I come back to find him watching the entire first season of The Clone Wars. I have no idea how he found that.

The Force is strong with this one.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 We got our tickets for Saturday evening. DW and I are trying out this thing called a "date".:confused3

I haven't seen any of the Marvel movies in the theater, and DW would complain that we never watch movies she likes anytime I'd watch one on blu-ray or DVD. The other day, when an Iron Man 3 commercial was on TV, DW said she can't wait to see it. And she seemed to sincerely mean it.

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :crazy2: :upsidedow :faint:

Further evidence that I will never understand women. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

If you ever do, please share the secret.

You're going to Chuck E. Cheese? You'll need something a lot stronger than coffee.

So it's still more efficient than a Humvee.

Ain't that the truth :confused3 If anyone does figure them out please pass along the insights oh great and powerful one.

Morning Gents, looks like another weekend washout here in Mid TN, flood watches already out through Sunday. Did some power yard work last night considering the forecast. Guess it could be worse, Blackhawks play a couple of times this weekend and got tix for Iron Man 3 for tomorrow, DS picked the 3D version.

All enjoy the weekend - Cheers :drinking1

‘Morning all…
After careful reconsideration I’ve decided that work still $*(&$...
Glad it’s Friday, but where the heck did Wednesday and Thursday get to?

Further evidence that I will never understand women. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

The problem is that you’re even attempting to do so.
Accept and move on… Understanding was never an option.

Sounds like a fine day…
Right up until the part about the fancy Charles Fromage knock-off :crazy2:

Ouch…
Y’all have a whole lot of upfront investments required to keep in the business.
May the weather cooperate better this year.

…And don't call me Shirley.

How about Hildegard then?

Just recently started to get reacquainted with those rare commodities…
Much fun.

I’ve missed being able to date my wife.

:lmao:

Humvees have a purpose.
Being tricked out with neon; having the wheels replaced with custom spinner rims that cost more then my house and then being relegated exclusively the tasks of driving the young’ens to soccer practice and holding down the reserved parking spot at the local country club…

That ain’t it.

Yup. Just about sums it up. Sorry to have to be the ones to end your season (well, not really). There's always the Blue Jays.:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Okay some one has to do it....

It's only game one, it's a long series anything can happen and WE BE-LEAF!!!!

GO LEAFS GO!!!!!

The Avengers wasn't Iron Man 3? :confused3

(this is a HUGE joke in my family that someone will always say when Iron Man 3 comes up. Sad that we won't be able to do that much longer...)

With 4 baseball games, 4 hoop games, 1 soccer game and other family commitments I don't see much internet time this weekend so I hope everyone has a good weekend and I guess I'll see you on the new thread. I figure we'll hit 250 by tonight and then the race will be over by Monday morning. Good luck.

Oh- I'll be playing hookie Friday morning to see Iron Man 3 in IMAX 3D if anyone wants to join me.

For the gas money to get to you and back, I may be able to buy a few bottles of good bourbon. Somehow, I'll try to manage.
Good call on declining my invitation. I was a bit disappointed by Iron Man 3 and not just because I dropped $16.50 on it. It was only OK. Probably better than the 2nd IM, but not up to the standards of the first one. Oh yeah- if any of you are going to see it, don't bother with the IMAX 3D. It really adds nothing.

I was planning on resurrecting the movie review thread for this but it's not even worth it. If Man of Steel can't top this it will have been a lousy superhero summer. What's the old saying? "A bad morning at the movie theatre is better than a good day at work".

Happy Friday. Snowing here again. Vegas is seriously starting to look good.

Can you believe I haven't seen one of the Marvel movies?
The Force is strong with this one.
Yes it is. Right now DD is playing with the lightsaber app on my phone. Should I be concerned that she picks the double lightsaber with a red blade?

Concerned? No. Proud? Yes. Just to be safe, you better check her midichlorian count.

I guess the lesson is to kick the kids out sooner.

Hey, don't bring Fed's ride into this discussion. :rotfl2:

Yeah, I had to go there.

Uh oh. Now you've got me worried, especially if it's only marginally better than the 2nd one (didn't care for that one at all).

Is it wrong that I'm probably more excited about some sequels of series that have been beat to death than any super hero movies this year? :rotfl2:

The next Hunger Games? Grown Ups 2? Hangover 3?

I'm patiently waiting for Star Trek into Darkness. I only get to one, maybe two, movies a summer.

Ok... I just added 3 more sequels to the list of movies I want to see...

The ones I was thinking of in particular were Hangover 3 and the new Fast & The Furious movie.
