That one I'll grant you.
Patience is my only defense in that situation.

Also, ever since I started pitching cards for a living I've had real tough time picking up a deck of cards in my spare time.

. I should have more time to catch up and visit in another week or so once all of the SEC documents are filed and school is ramping down. I'll check in as I can and try to get caught up as time allows.

Just tell the SEC you know someone who is a big UK basketball fan. That will put you in the clear. :faint: :lmao:

^What he said ^

Angry Birds is most certainly not a run of the mill video game.

I guess if I were to speak to your generation it is kind of like solitaire... prior to the version that we all have on our computers. :lmao:

My 70 year old mom got into angry birds, asking to play it everytime we go see her. She only has a dumb phone too. Then, she found the star wars version and figured it out right away. Poor Rob, some people aren't quite that tech savvy. :faint: :lmao:

For the record, I like playing solitaire on the phone and with cards. I've taught my dds to play solitaire, rummy, spades, hearts, working in Texas hold EM, and Rook one day. Angry Birds is no solitaire.

Monday recovery ownage.

Have any of you done the Sunrise tour at AK?

Not yet. On my list.

So, with all of you posting about cleaning up, apparently today was my chore day. I got an antibiotic and steroid shot from doctor, and DW must have known that meant energy boost - so get some work done. First, I had two challenges - hook the portable AC unit upstairs, since the builders did not use enough insulation or a second zone. Second, I had to re-arrange the room so that the monorail was not in DW's way, but was still functional. Here is what I came up with.

The view from the outside window. This is in a bonus room upstairs, above the garage. So, instead of putting in an ugly window unit, I think this looks better and at 8000 BTU, it cools the room well enough.

That right there... :lmao:

Not my fault you can’t entertain yourself for ten minutes without haveing to resort to an electronic pacifier.
:rotfl2:

Are you Italian? LOL

Rob is running crap and card games all over the country!!

Yup. That’s exactly what’s happening.
:lmao:

As for the Italian…
Nope, transplanted hillbilly.

Also, ever since I started pitching cards for a living I've had real tough time picking up a deck of cards in my spare time.

Your argument makes sense (and certainly beats: well everyone else does it) but you’re also the only dealer that I actually know. I’m pretty certain that you can shuffle a deck quite nicely indeed.

I can however use a similar argument. I work with computers all day and honestly, once I leave work, I’d just as soon not have to deal with anything electronic for a good long while if it ain’t necessary. That’s when it’s time to slow down, get unconnected, not be easily found and spend some time thinking rather then reacting.

Poor? Not savy? Naaa… See above
I see time disconnected as priceless

Glad to hear that you’re doing a little better (or at least have some quality pharmaceuticals to ease the suffering somewhat).
Nice job on finding a way to keep the monorail out and functioning. Ya’ can’t have enough Disney out and about.

I totally get it. There are those who want to escape like you and me. There are others who dive in and immerse themselves. DW is in IT and almost always has technology around her. I also see other dealers who leave work and head to the next closest casino or grab the cribbage board as soon as they get into the break room.

I can shuffle really fast too.

You sir, are a genius :worship:

Morning guys. I got in a little trouble with DW last night. Her parents are always canceling their time with us because one of her other screwed up siblings is in need of their help. I told her mom that I think some people look for the drama. She was like you always stick by your family, and I 100% agree with that. My scenario to her is that if someone steps in dog poop the first time, it's an accident. The second time maybe you are just being a little careless, the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th times....well people are just going to think you like stepping in the poop.

Well my give a care moment didn't last long enough according to DW. I did tell her that it hasn't changed in all these years when grown a$$ 35+ year old people can't deal with little things.

Nice. We have one of those units and they work pretty well.

Morning Men.

Good morning Gentlemen.

David, when you get married it goes without saying you either are heading into trouble, are in trouble or just got out of trouble.

‘Morning all…

Hey! That hits a little close to home.

Sorry ‘bout that Ryan, I was aiming at Andy.
Birdshot does have a rather wide scatter pattern though.

I was more the immersive type when I was considerably younger, so I can see that side of it.
Better then thirty years in the industry has beaten a lot of that out of me.

I can shuffle really fast too.

Given your level of practice…
I wouldn’t even question it.

I suspect she may well agree more with you but has to be a little defensive. It’s tough dealing with our own blood kin. In-laws are trickier though. No matter how much you’re embraced by the new family group, in the back of their minds you’ll always be seen as a bit of an outsider. Advice from outsiders, even when asked for, doesn’t always go down well.

Oh, I can entertain myself just fine. This is just a way that tends to keep me out of trouble a little better.

You just can't win here...:sad2::headache:

Good morning gents. Blackhawks / NHL Playoffs start tonight - GO HAWKS! Need a win as the Bulls got handed their lunch last night by the Nets.

Sometimes its worth a little trouble to make the family think about things a bit. Keep your head down :duck:

It's a tough position to be in, all I can do is reassure you that we ALL have family issues and drama.
It's weird how such a close knit group can have such varying opinions about everything.
I have had many similar situations, and sometimes you have to speak up, and sometimes you have to bite your tongue.
I have learned the only one that really has to be on your team is your spouse. Have each others back, and support and things will work out well.
