Morning..

We are still debating the thread title, basketball is now a well-documented Canadian sport and Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Since DW got diagnosed as gluten intolerant we've cut way back on anything wheat. I'm also the only one who eats potatoes (except French Fries) so those are not in the house either. Everyone one has been losing weight except me. Funny how candy and bottles of pop seem to jump into the cart when I do the grocery shopping. :rolleyes1

It just means they WANT to be eaten/drank, a sign from above. Don't resist.

Added more ADRs today, the plan calls for 13(!) of them. 12 comming out of the dining plan, one OOP. No signature/2 credit meals, girls just wouldn't appriciate them. Have pretty much given up on BOG for dinner, will do lunch for it. Although a little annoyed that they are toying with Fastpass+ for the lunch too. Really? And of course, as they roll it out, they are testing it with guests at the $$$ resorts, cause money talks. :sad2::headache:

Here is what we got so far:
1900 Park Fare (dinner)
Mama Melrose's (Fantasmic Package)
Chefs De France (lunch, timed it to see Remy with luck)
Via Napoli (dinner)
Whispering Canyon (dinner)
Tusker House (breakfast)
Yak and Yeti (dinner)
Akershus (lunch)
San Angel (dinner)
Liberty Tree (lunch)
still going to get Sci Fi for lunch, and Ohana and Kona for breakfasts...:thumbsup2

‘Morning all…

I have never let facts get in the way of my creativity.

You’d make a fine lobbyist :lmao:

I just heard from the mother of another Blue Angels crew chief that the Indianapolis airshow has been cancelled; all military jet teams are grounded until further notice; and the military will not support any airshows this season.
I haven't been able to verify that but have no reason to doubt it. :(

Sorry to hear that Mike. The last several manufactured crisis got solved right at the deadline of within a few days of missing it. We’ll see how this one goes.

Let's both be right... :thumbsup2

:lmao:

Works for me! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Our old logo used to say "Where Education Pays". Clearly, no one is envious of KY's educational system, so this sign is way better and more accurate.

I’m from the Carolinas and the vast majority down this way support that view.

Jealous, jealous, jealous…

Yes it does…
It just don’t spend much time talking to me.

‘cept to say bye-bye :lmao:

Morning Don!

As an update to our office move, this is a link to our fist choice, which is off of Battlefield.

http://goo.gl/maps/zucI6

Very cool! My old office is right down the street. I just applied for a different position back at my old job. However... our entire IT dept is planning on moving to Sentara Independence (the old Bayside Hospital) early April. That location, I believe, is right down the street from your current place :lmao:

Morning Guys,

My last scheduled meeting of the week is complete, day and a half left in the office until vacation. :cool1::cool1:

Weak argument... Naismith invented the game in Mass. due to the harsh winters, and Phog Allen went 11-13 over his last 2 seasons as a coach, in the years that people actually started paying attention to Basketball.

Larry Bird is from Indiana.

Hoosiers = Greatest basketball movie ever.

Indiana wins.

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Kansas has that movie with Toto and the witches though. So there's that. :thumbsup2

Kentucky has more NCAA championships than Indiana. Case closed!

Our jobs are orbiting around each other!:rotfl2:

See, that's why Indiana wins. It ain't about NCAA, or NBA, its all about basketball on any level. From a 5 year old playing in the driveway to the Final Four, which Indianapolis hosts about every 4 or 5 years by the way. There's a reason they keep coming back.

That last call could've gone either way - Niang was stepping and leaning away from the contact before Johnson got to him. By the time there was actual contact, he may even have had a foot in the no-charge zone.

But in the larger context of the game, frankly it was to be expected. It was a horrifically badly officiated game on both ends from the start. Phantom calls against both teams. Missed violations against both teams.

ISU was using a moving screen all game to free up McGee - whichever player was in the middle of the court would just slowly walk down the lane, with McGee cutting off of him. The screener never stopped and got set, just walked the lane screening off at least one (and sometimes two) players. Young raised his hand and "ate" a foul that probably should have been on Withey. But that's partially Hoiberg's own fault. During the stoppage in play, he could've requested that be reviewed and corrected, but he didn't.
The Big 12 released a statement acknowledging blown calls at the end of the game. Of course they didn't specify if it should have been a charge or block. I think charge but what do I know..
"The Big 12 Conference acknowledges that officiating errors were made at the end of regulation during last night's Kansas at Iowa State men's basketball game. The plays have been reviewed and appropriate measures will be taken by the Coordinator of Men's Basketball Officials to adjust the number of future assignments for the two officials involved in conjunction with conference policies."

Those of you that have seen the Lion King broadway show......

Would this be a kind of show that may be better to be viewed from a balcony location?

I know sometimes you lose some visibility sitting low in a theater for some of these shows.

I've seen it at the Orchestra level and the balcony. I thought the lower level was better but that may just be because that was the first time I saw it. I don't think you can go wrong. But I agree with an earlier post that the front row of the balcony is a great spot.

Exactly. It's in our blood. We appreciate it at ever level.

I'm relatively unbiased but coming from Western PA and thinking about college hoops, I'd give Indiana the nod.
Then again, perhaps I am biased. That Jimmy Chitwood could shoot the lights out!

Yup, they have a great facility for that big crowd. :rotfl2:

Those are some nice shorts. :lmao:

Back after missing a few days. Will try to scan through and catch up. Hope everyone is well. Prayers for those in need.

I must be getting old. Had an appointment for a physical this morning and now I'm waiting at the lab for a cholesterol and diabetes test. First time the doc ever mentioned the "C" word to me.

I have test every 6 months. Never really been an issue, but take small dosage of lipitor due to family history. Started around age 30, I believe. Good luck with the tests.

hurray we made it through ROFR again. Hopefully this time the contract will actually close. All in all it will have taken us almost 6 months to buy a DVC contract if this goes through. I'm still with f**** because they already had my deposit so I just rolled it over to another contract.

Good luck! Still waiting to get the green light from what we refer to in my family as "town hall". Just don't tell her I said that.

Good news. My back can take me out for a month or more at a time. Of course, I have a herniated disc. The doc wants me to lose weight, but when I exercise, my back hurts.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

With our next trip coming up in April I've been starting to look more into car rentals... specifically trying to get the lowest deals. What I find really amazing is that I made a reservation in January for 8 days of rental in a Full size car for $450... today I was able to get the same number of days and size for $180. I'm pretty sure I can get even better pricing as time gets closer to our trip (end of April which is a slow time), but I got to thinking... I wonder how many people simply make a reservation and never check back for lower pricing? Missing out on 60% discount would be dereliction of duty I would think! :lmao:

Where did you rent from for $180 (if you can say)? I looked out of curiosity for our August dates and we are over $400 before I look for deals. I usually find some coupon or discount that gets us around $200 for the week.

Bummer. I hope it's just a rumor. I know my cousin and a friend both went into the Air Force after seeing the shows when they were kids. We go to the shows around here, but they are rare. Wish your son luck that the show goes on.

Either Balcony or Orchestra...

In my opinion, first or second row balcony would be the way to go for this show...

Balcony was where our friends saw it from, row 4. Said they could see almost everything and the show was awesome. Of course if they couldn't see it, how would they know they missed it.:confused3:lmao::lmao:

Hoosier Daddy? :cool1::cool1::cool1:

No. Was a good game by MN. Now let's see if it puts them into the field of 64.....or is it 65.....did they add more teams again?

I was the smallest kid up until the third grade, and then I was the fattest. My parents never did teach me anything about nutrition. Now, at 18, I have to take responsibility for my own weight. I was in shape and healthy weight while I was at college where I lived on a food budget, played basketball most everyday, and worked at UPS at night. Even at the deli/bakery on weekends, I stock piled "damaged" food for me to take home during the week. Once I got a desk job and stopped exercising at night, that started the decline. Then, marriage and kids cut out most of my other activities. Now, it is a big battle. Fortunately, I have no health problems, other than my back, but I realize as I age that it and other things will get worse.

I was always heavier when I was younger. My parents were young, didn't like sports and really had no idea about nutrition. One I started playing sports around 5th grade I got into shape and was pretty good until child #2. Now I just have to get back in shape again. Yup the old age thing caught up here as well.

175 days for me!:thumbsup2 Looks like we'll have a steady stream of reporters to keep track of late elusive mouse. Have fun planning guys.

Our high school starts round 1 of the state tournament tonight with our girls team (ranked #10 in D1) playing. Wish us luck.

I ended up using Thrifty... with a 5% discount from Workingadvantage.com (discounts through my employer). But right now they are blowing away the competition by hundred of dollars even without the discount. Haven't looked at August rates, though. I expect the rates may drop even more as I get within 30 days.
