I have test every 6 months. Never really been an issue, but take small dosage of lipitor due to family history. Started around age 30, I believe. Good luck with the tests.

Good luck! Still waiting to get the green light from what we refer to in my family as "town hall". Just don't tell her I said that.

I take the ol Lipitor as well due to family history. Have they started you an aspirin a day yet?

No...you just don't even get it...

You guys keep going to a college program argument. And as someone who just sat through 2 high school playoff games tonight, it just reinforces it. The game is so much more than one or 2 college programs in Indiana. And its more college programs than that anyway... IU, Purdue, Butler, Notre Dame, not to mention the smaller schools like Valpo, Evansville and USI.

Indiana has several of the largest high school gyms in the nation. There are high school games where fans are just as intense or more so than your UK fans. Don't believe me? Come to Edinburgh, IN Friday night and watch undefeated Waldron play an in county rival in the sectional semi final. Game starts at around 7:30, but be there at 5 if you want a seat. This is a class A sectional and I've seen people standing outside scalping tickets in years past because it sold out.

And that my friends, is Indiana.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2. New Castle, Anderson, Elkhart all have gyms that seat thousands, not hundreds. I watched a sectional game last night at the gym in Elkhart (a middle school gym!!) and attendance was 7,200 + people. Andy said it perfectly, this goes way beyond the NBA and NCAA.

Do I need my passport to get over the border?? :confused3

You don't, but Norm does :lmao:

Morning David and all the other Dads!

Got my tax return back from the gov, its only 600$ lighter than what the tax software told me it was supposed to be:mad::headache::badpc:

Now I just need to figure out where I went wrong...

Matt

Morning everyone....

Jim, it seems that some openings have come up for BOG for the week of August 25, after getting the 9pm for Saturday the 24th, I managed this morning to get a better time 7:15. Sunday and Monday 25-26 had some decent times available this morning. Hope you can snag one of those times

Morning Guys.

My last day at work for until March 12th. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Suppose to be a messy day here today, snow freezing rain and ice pellets all in the forecast. If it's going to happen, start soon! I don't need to be driving in crappy weather tomorrow night.

You don't, but Norm does :lmao:

I'll use my ninja abilities.

So, the gov lowered your refund? I never had that happen.

Evening guys. Crappy day at the office today. Is November here yet? :confused3 I could really use some Disney right about now!

Don't skip October. That's my vacation state.

No...you just don't even get it...

It's relative. Does Indy have more HS basketball than KY? Yes. Does New York City have more HS basketball than the whole state on IN? Yes. So, per your argument, NYC is better at HS than all of Indy. Forget about it. I don't go to NFL playoff games because there are non locally and I can't afford it. Therefore, I don't care about NFL football? Not logical arguments. KY devotes a huge % of its state budget to basketball, and most school districts do the same. The passion for the sport comes from the heart, not size of gym. You can never measure the heart of a champion.

Matt

Did you file electronically with the tax software, or print and file through mail? It's odd that they would correct anything from an electronic filing this early, but perhaps there was a mathematical error somewhere in your forms.

+1:thumbsup2 Although I just need to make it to June.

Agreed, it's really messy here, mostly wet, slush and slippery, no one needs to drive in this crap.

I'm so stoked about it. Did a double take last night when times showed up, then checked this morning to see if the other late times had been snatched up. I know Jim wanted them too, and lo and behold, there were GOOD dining times available. Last week of August is lighter for crowds, I guess it helped. Switched my 9pm for 7:15. Done playing around, things are pretty much set now.

Was it bad up there yesterday? I had to change an employee's flight home from last night to today. I hope she can get out this afternoon.

I think it's finally stopped for a bit comming down, but very erratic. Tuesday night it POURED rain hard, I got drenched comming home. Just as I was getting home, it changed to snow, and snowed or a while, going back to rain. Yesterday it went back to rain, changed again to snow. Lots of heavy wet stuff, and slush and puddles everywhere. Supposed to get cold again on the weekend, so I guess it'll all freeze.

Your employee should get out today, it shouldn't be bad enough to delay many flights, unless it flies into the stuff you are supposed to get

That's my point though. Not only do we have the big gyms, but we fill them and the crowds are intense. So yes, the heart is definitely there. And it is there from the time a kid can dribble a ball to beyond college ball.

I play ball twice a week. It is pick up ball, but it is extremely competitive. The guy who opens the gym is often accused of stacking teams in his favor. And people get ticked, even though it doesn't really matter. We've got guys who were playing high school ball last year, a couple of guys who played college ball, and a couple of guys in their 60's and everything in between. And everybody plays all out.

Got a foot of snow today... school buses cancelled...

Snow was wet and HEAVY... a good work out.

 We got a lot of rain and some wind, but no snow. They were supposed to get a foot or so in the higher elevation ski area's.

As Coach Self said yesterday (paraphrasing) - If they're going to review and comment on the last minute of regulation, they might as well review and comment on the entire game.

As I said, the game was poorly officiated throughout - on both sides of the floor. (As for the Niang/Johnson charge/block call, there's an aerial view out there, from above the players, which shows pretty clearly that Niang was stepping backward after Johnson was in the air and before contact - he wasn't set). On the other hand, Niang probably shouldn't have been called for a foul in the scrum on the floor afterward.

There's a pretty good call-by-call analysis here - http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=172&f=2481&t=11323444 , if you're curious. By that analysis, Iowa State got the benefit to incorrect or questionable calls 12 times to 8 for the Jayhawks. The point really isn't the specific analysis. Rather, the point is that that there were at least 20 missed calls in a Big 12-level game. That's an unacceptable level of officiating, and I do hope that those officials get fewer Big 12 game assignments as a result.

:thumbsup2 It seems that the officiating has really dropped off in the last couple of years. I wonder if it's because less "good" candidates are available or if they now have too many instances in the rules where a "judgement call" is needed. A little more black and white and less judgement would be good. And as far as the offensive charge foul in general, it is too easy to draw one now. I want to go back to the old days where you have to stand in there and take the abuse to get the call. No more protecting yourself, fading back as the contact occurs. I've seen games with 10 or more. That's just too many in my humble opinion.

Evening guys. Crappy day at the office today. Is November here yet? :confused3 I could really use some Disney right about now!

Hope it gets better. Let me know if some good company and several alcoholic drinks at lunch would help.

We've used Alamo the last two trips to Orlando. We LOVE the ability to simply walk up, pick out a car and head to the checkout booth with no waiting. However, they are actually the most expensive now... and I've realized that I really do not like the Chevy Impala. With Thrifty we'll get to try a Ford Taurus (or similar). Will be interesting.

We usually take the PT cruiser. Now that the kids are older and them being removed from the rental options, it would be nice to try something else. I'd be OK with the Taurus.

What I read today is that they were testing out using the Fastpass+ for selected guests for lunch times at BOG,, it was in the AllEars Newsletter, here was what was posted cutted and pasted. For the record, I hope you are right :thumbsup2

"FastPass+ is being tested at Be Our Guest Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom now through February 28. During this test phase, randomly selected guests at Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary resorts will receive a FastPass+ card for a specified arrival window for lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant. Guests who arrive at the restaurant during their FastPass+ time will be able to take advantage of an expedited order and payment process. This opportunity is available by invitation only and participants must have valid theme park admission."

No issues anyways, see below

We did, it was on the first list, with Via Napoli, but don't think the girls will eat anything there, still kinda picky. Pizza, no probs:rotfl2:Want Audrey at least to be a bit older.

Anywho, I've been checking eacn morning and night for any changes.....and guess what?? It's late, but I managed to score a BOG dinner ressie!!!! Got it for 9pm on the Saturday night, which was our "off" day. We will spring for the 10th park day and head over in the evening, and leave early one other MK day, and move Whispering Canyon then.

DW really wanted this, so I am stoked to get it for her. Persistance paid off!!!

Even better both the following two nights had late spots open too!

OK, what were your travel dates again? We will be there 8/21-8/28. Are we overlapping or are you there earlier in the month?

No, we'll be there the same time, We arrive on the 8/19-8/31

Yup, low dosage every evening. I guess it can't hurt. All of my numbers have been right where they want them every test. My pulse and BP have always been excellent. I credit that to being active and my Scottish heritage. Sturdy types we are.

Saw your earlier post and just got off the phone, thanks. Nothing around 7:15, nice grab! Booked BOG on the 24th at 9:15.:cool1::cool1: It will be a late dinner, but expect we would be staying late anyway. I'll keep trying for a better slot as we go. Since we now know we will be in the same park on the same day, we'll have to plan a meet up as we get closer.:thumbsup2

Are you sure I can't fit in your luggage and come along. I'm really quiet and promise to behave.:scratchin Tell your boss that you have my permission to leave early today.:thumbsup2

Well we only have one checked bag. Would you fit in the overhead bin? I am the boss and I told myself I have to stay until at least 4 today. Driving to Portland Maine tomorrow night, I think the train comes up that far. :lmao:

Well, I freed up the 9pm ressie when I grabbed the 7:15. There was some on the 25-26 too, prime time but I've "locked" those days as well with other events. the 24th was supposed to be our off day, but will go to MK in the evening. Good chance we will run into each other at BOG, seeing we are only 2 hours apart on ADRs.

Keep checking, I've gone online twice a day since the window opened up, and lucked out after a week...just looked for fun, and only times after 9 are left for the 24-25-26.

This is our basic itinerary. No park-hoppers involved, it's $$ we can spend elsewhere

8/19 - Arrival, no parks, dinner at Par Fare
8/20 - MK
8/21 - DSH Mamma Melrose/Fantasmic
8/22 - Epcot Lunch at Chefs, Dinner at Via Napoli
8/23 - MK (open-close EMH)
8/24 - Sleep in and Pool Day, MK in the evening..likely only long enough for BOG and a couple of rides
8/25 - AK, Tusker for Breakfast, Yak and Yeti for dinner
8/26 - Epcot Akershus for lunch, San Angel for dinner
8/27 - MK in the AM only, resort rest of the day, Whispering Canyon for dinner
8/28 - DHS, Sci-Fi for lunch...if we get done all we want to, flake out early to the resort
8/29 - Kona Cafe for Breakfast, 1/2 day at Seaworld (shows/animals. not for rides)
8/30 - MK -Ohana for Breakfast
8/31 - Going home

Somewhere we want to hit DTD for a couple of hours at least, to do a bit of shopping and Ghirardelli's. Think Earl wil be out this trip, although I heard the Holiday sandwich is going to be permanently available:cool1:
