It is good to be king. At the local IGA on my FIL's birthday. Now, the entire county has less than 10,000 people living there.

He has stopped in there most everyday over the past 30 years to buy food and drink to take to work, gas, and socialize, so he probably paid for the sign by now. Still, thought it was cool and they just don't do that for everyone in the county.

Nice... :thumbsup2

Nothing like the small town feel. You would never see anything like that here.

Amelia is doing homework, but kinda looking around, so I ask what she is looking for..."I need a new pencil, this one is the s-word"

:lmao:At least she isn't techincally swearing, but she knows what the words mean on the other hand.:sad2:

And, she has enough self-control not to. :lmao:

Interesting. Whatever happened to State rights?

Cool magnets. Can't figure out who Evan is though.

Happy Birthday to you FIL. Very nice they recognized him. One question though, has he forgiven you for marrying his daughter?

Would Evan be one of the lost boys? Actually, FIL praises me for the being the best son in law he has. He only had one daughter. :lmao:

Watching gymnastics tonight. Both kids refused to wear shorts so both are in warm up pants. After every station DD has to pull up her pants. Maybe she'll learn her old man knows what he is talking about.

My youngest will do that occasionally. Drive me crazy. I didn't let them wear sweat pants to basketball this weekend - shorts only. That'll teach em.

Magnets look great!!! Makes me want to go on another one too!!! If only DCL had not priced us out of the market!!

yeah, the cruise is expensive. I hope to have ours paid off before we go on board, charged on Disney visa and balance paid in full from that, but I'm not sure we will have enough left over for a baseball game this summer.

Evening guys.

Horrible news about the child lost in the sledding accident. Will be praying.

That went away with the Fugitive Slave Law.

Some times they have to learn the hard way. It also cuts down on the daily battles.

Happy Monday. Our trip to the Disney store was nice. They had a bunch of clearance items. Vinylmation's for 5.99, clothes, mugs, etc. One of my DD's waited until we got home because they didn't have what she wanted so we ordered it online.

Class act last night in the Pro Bowl between Manning and Jeff Saturday :thumbsup2. I hope the Colts let him sign a one day contract so he can retire a Colt!

I'm now hooked on vinylmations. It's terrible my addictions

Had all my work done, so left early. The dds should be home off the bus in about 15 minutes. I need to go cash my big jury duty check of $25. KY is considering a bill to legalize and regulate industrial hemp. It would be a good cash crop for our state and one step closer to that wacky tobacky. :lmao:

KY is way too conservative for marijuana to pass, but hemp would be a good new source of revenue. Let's hope the politicians can get their head out of their a$$ long enough to get this one done.

Amen. I'm pro hemp and that's not a pro drug amen

I did a paper on industrial hemp back in college. It is a remarkable plant and has so many uses it is unbelievable.

Paper. Clothing. Cooking oil. Motor oil. Rope. And much more. Good on ya nemie

Ugh. Just one of those days at work. So I decided to finish up the magnets for our stateroom door. Feast yer eyes...

Only 36 more days...

Barry. Great magnets. No way you did these

Oh dear. I hope she listens to her mom and not my nemie. She'll think that Minnesota is something special and that...well at Least you'll teach her about Wisconsin

Nice touch at the Pro Bowl to let Saturday snap it to Manning one last time.

I only saw the highlights, but my favorite part was when J. J. Watt swatted the pass that was actually intended for him.

Ended up playing hookie today as well.:thumbsup2 DD had to go to the physical therapist this morning. Growing so fast she was feeling sore from hoops. Said bones are growing faster than muscles and a few alignment weaknesses. We will be doing a lot of new stretches and therapy for a few months to help. By the time we got out, just decided to stay home since it was already a no school day for the kids.

Did some bowling, mini golf and now just hanging out waiting for the snow that was supposed to start by 1PM

Hope the therapy helps and her muscles catch up with her bones!! bowling and mini golf sounds like my kind of day!!! :thumbsup2

That was cool with Saturday, and while wearing the blue jersey. I figured you would like that. I hope Jim signs him for that one day contract as well.

ah phooey. The choices were made and he went somewhere else. What is a symbolic gesture really going to do?? :stir: :lmao:

Very nice!! How are you planning to make the magnets from those now?? Just curious. We originally bought this magnetic paper we could print on, only to discover the image needed to be transfered on to it. ugh!! so then we printed on card stock, laminated, and applied magnetic tape. (if you go the magnetic tape route, my DW recommends getting sheets as opposed to a roll. Years of teaching has shown that a roll of magnetic tape will peel off whatever you put it on as it tries to get back to its rolled shape)

That's very cool. I wish there was a place that I went to that would put up a big sign on my birthday.

Oh wait... doesn't that happen here?? I should amend my requested to add the words "in real life".

:lmao:At least she isn't techincally swearing, but she knows what the words mean on the other hand.:sad2:

Ahh... the old, if you are substituting the word with another, aren't the intentions the same?' debate... well, at least she is demonstrating self-control.

An update...it was revealed tonight that the "s" in "s-word" is stupid, not what I thought. :rotfl2:

:lmao::rotfl:

I'm now hooked on vinylmations. It's terrible my addictions

I think you forgot the words "one of my"

good evening!

hope everyone had a good monday. Mine was frustrating. Mostly because I was waiting around in the morning for the dryer repair guy to come, only to get a phone call that he called out sick and they would try again tomorrow. So, what I could have done monday was prevented, and what I postponed until tuesday is now potentially in the same boat, unless this guy comes bright and early.

my quest to rundisney is still in the "planning" stages. DW may be in the lead. But soon, very soon, I will begin to put my plans into action. (I say this as I type and eat Reese's PB hearts at 1am)

You sound like you are on my runDisney team, as that is the training I'm doing.

I thought congress was America's first and oldest zoo

:lmao::rotfl::lmao:

Although, I think some of the congresses in the beginning did some good stuff, and others over the years as well. Once congress passed the income tax law and had their greedy hands on that free money, that's when it started going downhill.

Morning Guys,

Leaving for airport in about an hour. I wish I could say I was getting on aplane to Florida but unfortunately that is still a little over a month away. I guess I will have to make do with Ottawa for a couple of days.

The deep freeze is suppose to break here today, heading for the positive side of the scale but withe some rain and freezing rain for a couple of days. I think I get back just in time for the temperature to take another dip.
