DIS Dads DDC XXVI: They all went to the DDCC and all we got was this Lousy Thread!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.

I half expected to see one for Tim.
Maleficent? :confused3

And where are my family's magnets?
I take requests. Whatcha looking for?

It is good to be king. At the local IGA on my FIL's birthday. Now, the entire county has less than 10,000 people living there.
Happy Birthday!

Cool magnets. Can't figure out who Evan is though.
It's Chip. No, wait - it's Dale. Well, maybe it is Chip, I'm not sure. Could be....nah, it's Dale. I think. It's some kind of rodent, let's just leave it at that.

Well done on the magnets...

I guess that new promotion has you really busy... :rotfl2: :lmao:
Completely. :surfweb:

Barry. Great magnets. No way you did these
Thanks. I guess the highest compliment I can get is being accused of stealing something. :thumbsup2

Very nice!! How are you planning to make the magnets from those now?? Just curious. We originally bought this magnetic paper we could print on, only to discover the image needed to be transfered on to it. ugh!! so then we printed on card stock, laminated, and applied magnetic tape. (if you go the magnetic tape route, my DW recommends getting sheets as opposed to a roll. Years of teaching has shown that a roll of magnetic tape will peel off whatever you put it on as it tries to get back to its rolled shape)

I had planned on going that route, but then found a 50% off online coupon for Vistaprint.com, so I'm having them print them for me.

Good morning fellow dads, hope all is well, not much going on here, had DD and daddy family pictures done on Sunday, DD informed me I needed to buy this certain hat because I had no style, she is right haha. So since I am trying to get back in the dating game, I am attempting to have more style. Gearing up for our WDW mini trip which should be 31 days away.

Morning gentlemen,

Got our second dose of freezing rain, slush and snow mix in three days. There is enough to make driving hazardous but not enough to go sledding. Nothing else big going on here.

An inch of rain fell last night and they're calling for record highs (near 60°) today. Then a cold front tonight and we won't see 20° again for a month!

Maybe Quasimodo.
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Nice work on the magnets Barry!:thumbsup2
Thanks Mark!

Nice job on the magnets Barry. I was trying to figure out Evan's myself. First I thought a lost boy, then I thought the skunk from Bambi... but Chip or Dale does make sense.

Maleficent? :confused3
I take back my complements. :rolleyes2

Better order them now, incase there is a copyright infringement of they print the wrong ones. :faint:

Good luck picking up women in WDW! :thumbsup2

Maybe Quasimodo.
Whose side are you on? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ugh. Just one of those days at work. So I decided to finish up the magnets for our stateroom door. Feast yer eyes...

Only 36 more days...

Those are awesome! I have an Evan as well. Wish we were heading to a cruise or Disney in 36 days. The positive is we are talking about going somewhere warm for Feb. vacation. Still deciding where.

Amelia is doing homework, but kinda looking around, so I ask what she is looking for..."I need a new pencil, this one is the s-word"

:lmao:At least she isn't techincally swearing, but she knows what the words mean on the other hand.:sad2:

Just wait. I learn new words and text abbreviations pretty regularly now with DS in middle school. Just listen for the giggle after and that will tell you when the word is not proper.:lmao::lmao:

Watching gymnastics tonight. Both kids refused to wear shorts so both are in warm up pants. After every station DD has to pull up her pants. Maybe she'll learn her old man knows what he is talking about.

Nope. They never learn to listen to dad. What you need to do is work out a deal with another parent. You suggest to their kids and they suggest to yours. Works much better. That will work for a little while until they figure it out and then you need to find a new accomplice. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

An update...it was revealed tonight that the "s" in "s-word" is stupid, not what I thought. :rotfl2:

See, always jumping to the wrong conclusions. Wish mine would say s-word instead of several words beginning with S.:headache::mad:

Good morning guys :cool1:

Good Morning Dave.:wave2:

Morning Guys,

Leaving for airport in about an hour. I wish I could say I was getting on aplane to Florida but unfortunately that is still a little over a month away. I guess I will have to make do with Ottawa for a couple of days.

The deep freeze is suppose to break here today, heading for the positive side of the scale but withe some rain and freezing rain for a couple of days. I think I get back just in time for the temperature to take another dip.

Safe travels. Supposed to get close to 40 degrees today and maybe the 50's tomorrow with some rain. Had a little over an inch of snow yesterday that DD will try to frolic in after school if there is any left.:rotfl2: The weather forecasters spent so much time naming the storm and telling us to expect 3-6 inches. At this point I'm not sure if I want 2 feet of snow or for spring to come quick.:confused3

Hey Philip.:wave2: We just did family pictures with the kid and grandparents a couple of weeks ago. Pics came out pretty good. Style was never my strong suit either. Luckily I also have a DD to keep me properly dressed.:lmao::lmao:

I figure she will start listening when she turns 22. For now I've been using my sister's girl to give DD listening and girly girl lessons. The latter worked too well. She is now taking an interest in American Girl dolls.

It was funny because I wasn't aware that my 5 year old knew what style was, and of course neither do I , but I'm just going to assume she still knows more than me, the hat did look good, didn't end up using it in the picture and boy did DD let me have it about that haha

As much as DD is into sports and loves doing things with dad, she has always been somewhat girly. Have you seen the prices of the American Girl stuff. We have 3 or 4 of them and the dolls are only the beginning. DD has Mickey/Minnie PJ's that match one of the dolls. Let's see we have ice skates, bunk beds, several outfits and who knows what else. At least I get to put in on the Disney Visa and use the points for a trip.:scratchin

Was it a Kangol?

Hey guys. Just been skimming the past couple of days. Prayers where needed, hugs and hi fives too! Oh, and sarcastic comments to everyone. :lmao:

Haha no, she is not a product of the 90s, it was a fedora , sorry no pic, I assume most know what they look like

Yes, but we don't know what YOU look like in said fedora so we are just going to have to use our imaginations....
