Happy New Years Guys! Woke up this morning with a swollen jaw and pain. Great way to start. Apparently there is a gland that can clog around the jaw and get infected. Off to get some antibiotics.

Did you cook the lobsters before trying to eat them? Maybe they got their claws on you.

Maybe it's contagious over the Internet.

You have got to be kidding me!!!! I am fighting the same thing now!!!! mine is still swollen after nearly week of antibiotics just not as badly...headed back to doc for re eval tomorrow...good luck with yours!!

Made crock pot kielbasi\sauerkraut, with bacon mixed in of course. Actually went light on the kraut, HEAVY on the bacon.

Did some sledding with family and friends today and I am whooped. Looking forwad to dinner in a couple of hours and a few Sam Adam's.

Kraut in the crock pot makes the whole house smell good. Sounds good.

Yes, we entered last night. It's pretty cool that you get to choose a type of vacation if you win. The last time I think we entered pretty much every day and didn't win. Good luck to the Dads.

I hate that I missed seeing the cars land float during the rose parade, but pics of it are cool

We watched part of the parade and saw the float. IT was pretty neat. It broke down and (Tow) Mater had to come around and jump start it. The kids thought it was funny.

Has anyone been able to enter, I've been trying for a couple hours and when I try to submit the entry it says site unavailable due to high volume

We entered right after midnight because they told me to. Was on the site about 20 minutes ago and it seemed to be working OK.

Well fellow dads, with the new year I felt it best to tell my parents that I am now a DVC owner, if you need alittle background my mom at times still feels like I'm a kid, to an extent I still am,but also it's nice to still have parents who care even when I'm 31 so she went off on me when I told them, normally I would of gotten mad and left but I stuck it out and talked to her about it and over all she's cool about it now, she of course wishes we could of used my pts for our march trip but I informed her that BLT lake view studios are def gone by now and we were prob lucky that we were even able to get it when we did. Overall everything's cool and I'm glad that I have told them.

Doctor prescribed Cephalexin(antibiotic). Advil and heat compresses were the other things he said I needed to do. Feels a lot better than this morning, but still a little sore. They said the duct can actually get a "stone" clogged in it. Not sure what that means, but I'm hoping that is not the case and the antibiotics do the trick.

Looks like we will have dinner at The Outback tomorrow, since USC won they are giving free Blooming Onions tomorrow with dinner, I have several Gift Cards so it will not cost anything, always nice not having to pay and get free stuff besides

Hopefully the doc solves the problem. My Doc did say that it is possible that you may need a Nose, Ears and Throat specialist to clear the obstruction if the antibiotics don't work. He said if it is not better by late day tomorrow, I should call and get an appointment. Have you tried taking Advil? I felt a lot better after I took it and plan to continue until forever at this point.

Good luck with getting it cleared up! I'll let you know if they change anything and it works. The antibiotic I was given is Cephalexin 500MG for 7 days(4x/day). I'm not sure what I'll do if it's not gone in a week. Feel better.

Wish it was that simple. At least I could eat the lobster as punishment. WOuldn't even wish it on CJ. Hopefully we both get better quickly and no one else gets it.

OK, well first thing is that mom will ALWAYS think your a kid no matter how old you get. You are her kid and that doesn't change.

Haha it wasn't really that easy sitting through my mom nagging me and naming off everything I've ever bought that she didn't agree with but I still imagine it was easier then explaining it to a wife, I don't share a bank account with my mom so that makes it a bit easier

Yep a stone is what it can be or other debris....or just bad infection....mine was so bad last week I ws not able to open my mouth and had pain into my ears and down my neck i looked like I was storing nuts for winter! I still have some swelling but not like it was...heading back to doc tomorrow and see if I need a repeat CT scan....take care of yourself
