That's a long time for things to pile up. Not sure I'd be able to get into my office after that long from all the piles. Good luck getting back in the swing.

Luckily I was in-touch with the office the entire time I was at the Games so I was able to deal with a lot of the stuff before coming back. Still it is a little slow getting going today.

Dr. said this time he wants to do an MRI first, and a 3D scan.... he said he wants to go the "whole 9 years".... I asked him why the first time, he only went 7 yards? He didn't have a good answer... :sad2:

Prayers where appropriate... ;)

Anyone else have any similar situations?
Wow... that's a new one to me. I hope all goes well and prayers are certainly in order.

If it wasn't for us Canadians, you guys would have no real beer or poutine.

:rotfl2:

Bob and Doug MacKenzie...pretty much sums it up, eh?

I don't know if I would call Moose Head or Molson "real beer. "

Well, we put alcohol in our beer... your beer comes from a tap. I've seen it at Scott's house... I don't have a pic, buyt here's a reasonable facsimile.

So my father went in for a "ablation" on his heart yesterday.

Generally a pretty standard procedure where they go to the hart, and burn of some tissue to help stabilize an irregular heart.

Well the surgery itself went well. The only catch is.... ready for this.... they went into the RIGHT side of the heart, just to find out that the "atrial fibrillation" (irregular heart beat) was on the LEFT side!!!!

Ugggghhh,...

So he has to schedule a SECOND procedure, and apparently the left side is more complicated.

Hope it all goes well Brian. I think you need to question the doctor some more as well. Totally unacceptable.

Hello everyone. I'm Chip, married with 2 kids, DD (12yo) and DS (8yo), we are planning to return to Disney World in November, 15th-23rd. Been lurking around the boards for a while now, mostly reading trip reports and now found the DIS Dads.

:welcome: Chip...

Seems really strange to me, I am not sure how common it is to "get it wrong"... They measure the heart with a standard cardiogram, so they know the issue exists, but unfortunately it doesn't pinpoint it. I am not sure why they proceed without know ALL the facts... apparently the Cardiologist identified the issue as being on the left side. I am leaving it to my folks to get to the bottom of, I certainly don't expect them to just drop it.

Prayers for your Dad, Brian! Is he a Disney Dad?

Just printed boarding passes A45-48. Downloaded watch TV app to laptop and iPad. Supposed to allow you to watch dish on the plane. Printing off doc's and then heading out for the day to get everything finalized. Tomorrow at this time will be at about 30,000 feet.
Enjoy - man I need some time off / away from things at the Happy Place. Again enjoy :cool1:
