Morning everyone....

Hump Day, we're almost there....c'mon weekend

‘Morning all…
It’s back to work for me but I did get to spend a few days on the coast soaking up the rays.
That should make the drudgery ahead a little easier to deal with (for a while anyway).

This was an interesting trip. It’s the first time we’ve done a couple only tour since our son was born.
Also the first time I’ve left him in charge of the house while we were gone.
All survived (including the house) so I’ll consider that a major success.

Only down side… I’m way behind on a bunch of things.
That I can deal with.

Slow down there. Some of us are on vacation.
:lmao:
Time can be relative (according to Einstein anyway).
So… Mike, may your week drag on.
As for the rest of us, I’m with Brent on that one.

Morning guys.

Page one updated! :thumbsup2

It's been said, Sucks to be You! :lmao:

Yep DCL is a lot more I agree. I guess we will still use them as long as the kids are still a good age for the kids club. After than we ar back to RCCL like you!

What ship CJ?

Still livin' the dream. I'm going to try at get GF for April trip.

Brian, we will be on the Freedom of the Seas. Still can't believe it is half the price of Disney. And yes, it sucks to be me.

Excellent! Glad you were able to get away for a few days.

I’ll trade ya’

Excellent! Glad you were able to get away for a few days.

We have access to a place to stay down there so that at least is one outing that I don’t have to take completely off the table just yet.

...which is nice.

I know for me, it's starts Staycation 2:The Revenge :hyper:

Enjoy! (the early reviews seem to be pretty good).

Morning guys! DS coming back from Boy Scout Jamboree after 10 days away. It's been very hard on DW and myself. Can't wait to see him! Then, leaving on vacation on Friday! I may actually be on the boards MORE during vacation. Depends how drunk I am during the day.... ::yes::

Excellent! Glad you were able to get away for a few days.

Looking forward to seeing you guys on Friday!

Sounds good, I know when I use to drive Ambulance for a local transport service all my friends would ask why I did it for $11 a hour. I would answer were else do you get paid to sleep on the sofa, watch TV, and drive a $100K vehicle around. We use to go shopping or out to eat, whatever we wanted to do. I parked the rig at my house one day for like 8 hours.

Long periods of boredom punctuated by moments of true emergency!

Us too!

Looks like your son has been having a blast.:thumbsup2

I've been waiting for this to happen...

This is from the Welcome to the DISDads sticky.

Can women be disdads? I have all the proper qualifications-except one;-) The moms thread is no fun whatsoever, typical tear each other down snippy women stuff. I like the info and discussions here. I am a DVC member, love classic Mickey Mouse, and am learning to appreciate princesses for the sake of my daughter. Found the info on the Grand Californian here, it was the best discussion I have seen. I grew up in SoCal and haven't been to Disneyland since I was 14, can't wait to take my daughter to Carsland. We go to DW about 2x per year. No men here though, just us girls.....

So, what say you?

This time it's personal!:)
I think we had this discussion over on Facebook a while back....I think it was agreed to stay guys only....:confused3

I was never a part of any facebook discussion, but if that was what y'all agreed, then I would be in agreement with that agreement.

On the sports front, got a call from the state champion AAU team looking to add a shooting guard to the 8th grade squad. Not sure where they saw him or who told them, but they want DS to come try out for the spot. The try outs are August 2nd. Think we'll give it a shot and see how it goes.

I truly sympathize...I know another DW who is totally like that (and who I know doesn't come on these boards)

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

:lmao::rotfl2: I know one of those too! You get to meet her in August.

A good day today. Made reservations for next summer's vacation. Booked a 7 day Royal Caribbean Western cruise starting May 25 and then a week at the Boardwalk after we disembark on June 1. May try to change the WDW trip to the new DVC at the Grand Floridian. Randall, if you have the time, you can add it to the who's going post.

Before booking, I also priced out Disney Cruise Line. The thing that struck me is the RCL cruise is HALF of what the same accommodations are on the DCL. Since the kid no longer needs the kid's services it was a no brainer to book RCL. Would have rather gone on DCL but they priced me out of the market.

While we are still up in the air on ever taking a cruise due to motion sickness fears, we noticed the same things. I'm thinking for the difference in price, we could do the same. Take a RC cruise and then spend some time in WDW as opposed to just a cruise on DCL. Congrats on getting it booked. And as always.......Sucks to be CJ.:headache:

Where's the Like Button?

I believe the requirements for membership are clearly stated in the first page of every DisDad's thread.

While being a male is not exactly spelled out in the official criteria to be a member of the Dis Dad's it is in the creed, "We're men," and in the opening section of Man Laws, "This is Man World."

Furthermore admittance of a woman to the Dis Dads would be in direct conflict with the following Man Laws:

Section 6, "No DIS Dad will sit in seat while a woman, child, disabled or elderly person stands on bus... unless there is to many people between you to offer the seat (example: I'm in back and person is in front of bus and 15 people standing in between) or you are holding children."

and

Section 20, "Any adult male who shares his love of Disney with a future generation of Disney fans is a DIS Dad."

Morning guys. We got an update on the kiddos sizes and weights yesterday. They all appear to be catching up and doing well. :thumbsup2

DW has been wanting to start getting clothes for the boys for when we get them home. I'm glad we waited until we got the info from our agency. So now we can get all the essentials: Disney tshirt s, Colts stuff, IU stuff, ND stuff, my favorite uncle is CJ shirt :lmao:

Good Morning David. Did they give you an update on when they would be home? I may have missed it is it was in an earlier post.

G'mornin!

Slow down there. Some of us are on vacation.

:rotfl2::lmao: Funny how our week at work drags and your vacation days fly by while we all wish the opposite. Except for CJ of course. He's always on vacation somewhere.::yes::
