I have no idea why they push it like they do (Sleemans owns it up here) they already have Old Milwaukee and Ice here, which dominates the "cheap beer imports" market.

Those beers are winners...

Wish Dogfish Head would return up here, but no luck so far, I think that ship has sailed. Lots of others good US craft beers are looking to get their feet in the door now.

It's all about the craft in CT. Lots of good full bodied, full flavor beer out now.

Natty Light is about as low as you can go. You can probably buy a keg for $20. That's why all the college kids drink it.

Yeah, Stella's really ramped up the ads here too lately. They are still #2 behing Heineken though.

I was bent on having Belgian beer tonight as we had friends coming over to talk about joining the DVC. I bought a case of Stella tonight. I stared at it and a case of Hoegarden for like 5 minutes before I walked out with the case of Stella.

I like General Tso Chicken...but chicken and broccoli and chicken and mushrooms are good too...and love pork egg rolls!!!

I like sesame chicken and spring rolls.

Bacon Wrapped green beans now that sounds interesting

Slice bacon in half. (I like Field - KY bacon).
Whole green beans - slice in half. (I use canned - fresh ok if precooked).
Use 3 to 4 halves green beans and wrap in half slice of bacon.
Stab bundle with toothpick to hold in place.
It may be 1 to 1/2 cans to 1 package of bacon.
Salt/pepper. Marinate overnight in fridge with 8 oz french dressing. I like Catalina for a little flavor kick.
Cook 375 for 35-40 minutes. You want to make sure bacon is cooked thru.

I think what did it for me was a discussion about watching Wishes from the California Grill with my family. A few of the enlightened souls told me that my kids should be in bed by then. Rather than advising them what part of my anatomy they could go suck, I simply stopped responding.

I hate running out just as the beers were getting real good here, but I gotta crash. I've been scheduled to unload the skids tomorrow, so soon I'll see more beer and spirits then I can handle. Shouldn;t be TOO bad though, only 600 or so cases, lots of time to get other things done too.

I am on Ron's Commando thread and by DVC resort threads. Everynow and then I'll check out the DVC Mouscellaneous and restaurant threads, but it still gets nasty there sometimes as well.

We just talked about Stella. I noticed your ages. You are a couple years younger than me and I am a dad to two dds (10 & 8). There's a few of us on here with dds only and we occasionally talk about how to scare of those boys who want to date our girls.

The Pirate Princess arrived safely. Took about 30 minutes driving around the airport trying to find her. She exited the airport at the arrival level instead of baggage claim area where I was waiting for her. I have a bright child.

She must get that from her dad!

Craft is big here too, good growth on our local craft stuff too. The Amsterdam Boneshaker IPA has done incredible numbers, lots of others getting strong followings too.

Ah. Best used to be here, but no longer for years. Nothing is that cheap here, but we have the crappy discount brands too. One has a huge following "Labatt Max Ice" putrid stuff, high alcohol, so it's a quick buzz, I refuse to carry it even though I get constant requests for it. We also carry crap like Pabst Old English, Colt 45 and etc....
