DDs doctors appointment done, sitting for a couple of minutes before I get back on the bus to work. Really feel like napping though

I used to be the principal at a local college and would get called all the time but unfortunately there was no overtime. The worse time was during the superbowl just as Carolina started a late charge to make it interesting.

That sucks...I just want the quick $$

Sorry about the beverly day. Can you talk with the person that took the key? It may just be an oversight on their part and it's probably worth bringing it up, especially if its' gonna bother you.

Boss was the one who took my key for the midnight shift, whom I hope to not see til after Christmas. I've got a plan up my sleeve anyways.

Fahrenheit. It was -3 celsius when I posted and it is suppose to be about +7 today (44 for you).

We hit around 14-16 today, but the rain rolled in and it feels like it's cooling down now.

Afternoon good and honorable men of the DIS

Who?

Fellow dads, I just received the email that my DVC resale passed ROFR, so doing the happy dance, even though I'm at work. Cannot wait to close.

Thanks Ryan - yes... I've been thinking about hitting Belle first on that Sat morning... do you know if it will have FP? If so, we may do FP and hit Peter Pan, Mermaid, Gaston's, Dumbo and come back to it later in the morning.

We typically go to the DLR in a larger group... but its usually one or two of the sibling's and their families. This will be larger than we've ever dealt with - but there are a few teenagers and tweens, so I'm thinking there may be some splinter groups that form as the day goes on. We'll definitely be staking out areas for parades, fireworks early. Do you guys find that the area along Rivers of America is better for parades crowds and space-wise than Main Street?

We usually wind up either somewhere between Liberty tree and Country Bear Jamboree for the parades.

I don't remember seeing a FP machine for Enchanted Tales but that doesn't mean they don't have one.

We'll definitely consider that. The one challenge is that AK closes so much earlier, and I'm not sure when we'll be officially off the ship, checked into POP and headed to the park. I've heard we could be in the parks as early as 9 or 10, and as late as mid-day - the reports are all over the place. With Epcot open later, it gives us a little more time to enjoy that park.. although I realize its the biggest park, and we really will only be scratching the surface. With the number of little kids in the group, Epcot was a lower priority to many of the parents... although if I was going with my family our itinerary would be different as I would really love to spend more time there.

The appeal of AK at rope drop is a factor as well (getting on safari's early... FP's to EE, etc.)

Thanks though... we'll def think about it :thumbsup2

I think the earliest you can leave the ship is about 7:30 but that's dependent on when the ship gets cleared. It takes about a half hour to get through customs. Are you taking the bus from Port Canaveral? If so my guess is that the earliest you'd be there is 9:30. By the time you get checked in at pop it'd probably be close to 10. So you could be on a bus to a park between 10 and 10:15. You might be able to get to a park a little sooner but I wouldn't plan on getting there much earlier.

Are your fellow employees giving you strange looks? Let them think you got hit in the head with one too many trailer parts.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yes they are, they already know I'm "off" so it's normal behavior to them

150 SSR with Sept UY I used the timeshare store, they seemed really nice, from other offers I've seen I over paid but still happy, if I ever buy another resale ill prob try fidelity cuz it seems like they are more willing to present lower offers to sellers but I got all 2012 pts so overall I'm very happy

That's great info. Perhaps an AK/Epcot switch is in the cards. We could probably accomplish just about everything at AK from 10'ish to 5, then go back to POP and do laundry! :laundy:

I confirmed that Friday is EMH at Epcot... so it would be more crowded, but its also early February... so hopefully manageable.

Appreciate it! :woohoo:

I've trolled several sites throughout the year just to see what's out there... never took the plunge... however there have been some deals I wish I could have gotten in on.

SSR would probably be where I'd buy... it's big enough to keep the Maint. fees somewhat stable.

2nd choice would be OKW... then AKL.

Maybe someday. Congrats!

Thank you, Nemi, From what I see, it depends on your needs, DD loved WDW and I know with her almost being 5 we have many trips ahead so decided to go ahead and make the plunge, SSR looks like a great home resort, my second choice was BWV for pts/price but my main choice was BLT but couldn't swing the pts/price I felt like we needed. I will prob look to add another 100 pt contract direct in the future, hoping a sugar mama comes along :)

We've looked around a lot, but haven't taken the plunge yet either.

Philip, The higher cost may be due to having the 2012 points available and not necessarily the site not willing to work with you. From what I have seen, if the full current or even past years points are available for use right away, the cost is from $3-7 more per point. I was actually looking for one without 2012 or 2013 because we aren't planning a big trip until 2014. That means I wouldn't need to points until then and I might be able to save a little $$. Haven't found that perfect deal yet. Good luck with finalizing yours.
