Thanks for the prayers, everyone!

Quick update:
Just like many people said, it's gestational diabetes. DW admitted herself into the hospital yesterday. When I visited after work last night, she was in much better spirits, and her blood/sugar level was closer to the acceptable limit. She didn't know when she'd be able to go home, I'm guessing Saturday or Sunday.

Glad all is well. She will just have to watch what she eats and do as she is told by the medical staff.

Just got home from work, so now its dinner time, making a sandwich, 1/3lb of Italian Roast Beef & 1/3 lb of Jerk Turkey on a hard roll, my mouth will be on fire real soon

I'd look at it more as a situation where Barry is going to be worn down and you're going to be rested and fresh for the race.

You come up with some good ideas!

It's worth it if you can get one in, like Ryan was saying, that last corral can be pretty slow/packed...


Not that I'd advocate this, but I've been in a couple corrals during Disney races where it was pretty obvious that people had "mis-remembered" the times they submitted... Not sure Disney really checks your times...

Agreed. I was in the last corral in January. But you don't really spend 3 or 4 miles swerving around people. It's more like the first 12 or 13 miles. The other drawback is that you won't be able to run with Barry unless he drops back to your corral. That would stink for him. If you just ran 5 miles this morning, you're almost at a 10k anyway. How long did those 5 miles take you?

Are you serious? 12 miles of people all over the place?

Maybe I'll just sneak into his corral... Is that possible?

I ran a 10:31 mile... For 5miles 52:35

There are only 2 10ks left in CT for the year. The first is Saturday and the second is the first saturday in November- when I'll be in Disney.

yeah but running is an experiment with a population of 1. Tim's got to do what's right for him and no on can predict what will happen come race day.
Your full of excitement and anticipation, nervous energy seems to pour out of people and that's just in the line for the potty potty.

Who knows what's gonna happen. I just want to run the whole 13.1 without walking.

Tim, Ron and I will not be having breakfast while you are running. That will be in Nov. when we all will be there.

A couple of threads ago I mentioned going to the Disney Store with the twins and narrowly escaping with only spending $20. DW wasn't paying attention as she was walking with the twins through Target. They scattered at the Halloween costumes. By the time I get there DS is pulling down a Darth Vader costume. DD is filling the cart with the Cinderella ensemble. The DS comes back with the Princess Leia costume for his sister. Of course I was a great help standing back laughing at the show.
