Today is DW's birthday. I tell her she gets a Disney vacation every year for her birthday - what could be better.

Doing well thanks. She is enjoying it up there but it hasn't gotten cold yet. Posted on Facebook that she got a 90 on a Statistics class and set the curve. Can't be my kid. .

She just hasn't found all the good underage, catholic school girl drinking parties. I know CJ get to return the favor in a few years, but it is just so easy.

Will you have a 10k for corral placement? That'll actually make a huge difference. If they put you in the back with the walkers you'll spend the first 3 or 4 miles swerving around people. Sure it'll make you feel like the fastest man in the world, but it could make it hard to actually run.

Could you employ a blocking back? I couldn't last for 4 miles, but I could knock down a bunch of people in front of someone for 20 feet or so, give or take 20 feet.

Five pages in five hours on the new thread. This one is certainly off to a running start.

Howdy. Yes. We're in the process of adopting a 14 yr old girl from Ukraine. We got to hang out with her a lot in August and decided to adopt her. Crazy. We didn't even want any more kids, but just felt called to make this offer to this kid. What's crazier is that she agreed to it!! We're still in the home study phase and hope to have her here for good in the spring. She'll spend a few weeks with us in December. We're very excited. No word yet on when her first trip to Disney will be.

Congrats over here. Continued prayers throughout the process.

Went to the Doctors and things were doing just OK. Long story short, he thought about checking me into the hospital to run some tests. Talked him out of it and after a few visits to his office and in house tests, adjusting the drugs, things are much better. Still here kicking.

Celebrating my non hospital stay by going to the Keys tomorrow. May dive but not sure right now. Norm, you can't say anything because you are at the World right now. You have me beat..

You could have went to Dr. Barry. Let's not go there - I still have the drive home since I never got your house key in the mail.

Quick update:
Just like many people said, it's gestational diabetes. DW admitted herself into the hospital yesterday. When I visited after work last night, she was in much better spirits, and her blood/sugar level was closer to the acceptable limit. She didn't know when she'd be able to go home, I'm guessing Saturday or Sunday.

Great to hear Casey. Hope she's out of there asap!

Maybe I'll just sneak into his corral... Is that possible?

They have people at each corral checking each person that comes in. However, it's at 4:30 in the morning and dark. People also climb over the mesh wall "barriers" to go to and from the port-a-potties. So it's possible you could sneak in... depending on how sneaky you are!
