Just got home from work and Shari met me at the door with a big smile on her face...she passed her Heart Failure exam and is not a specialized Heart Failure Nurse Practitioner!!!

Excellent news...congrats!

You’ll also notice in that picture that Bambi has one arm around
Madison, a hand on Evan, and is set in a sprinters stance.
I believe the plan was to trip Barry while pulling the kids to safety.
Should the need arise.

Depending on Barry's life insurance, the need could arrive sooner then later..

They're all pretty used to it. There are a few aggressive ones that they need to keep farther away, but the ones they use for the Gator Wrasslin' shows (and the ones you get to sit on) have been hand picked for mild temperament, are used to all of the activity and are kept well fed so they don't get a sudden hankerin' for a touristy snack.

that's the life right there. Feed me til i am so content that I don't care if people sit on my back and get their picture taken... and anytime i get a little riled up, just feed me some more.

I guess footage of gators just sitting on the river bank not moving doesn't get very good ratings.

but it does wonders for the jungle cruise! I guess it's one of those things that doesn't translate well on the small screen, so they've got to spice it up somehow.

OH MY! You guys have been chatty over the last few days. At this rate the new thread is only going to last about a week.

Hope everyone is doing well. Going to see Dark Knight Rises tonight. DW and I are still having discussions on DVC. Not really sure where we are going to fall on that topic. It is tied to numerous other life decisions at this point.

If you get a chance check out Great Lakes Warriors on the History channel. In my job I do the coordination of barge planning for a couple of our steel mills up here on Lake Michigan and they are featuring one of the tugboat companies that I deal with. I have been on one of there boats and in several meetings with the captain they are calling The Legend, John Selvick. That's kind of funny. Of course since it is TV they are over sensationalizing it.

I've been a bit busy. DW hasn't been working since the beginning of May, I've been putting in overtime when I can, and I picked up four private tutoring lessons to teach after work. All in preparation for the arrival of our twins in late December/early January. Haven't really had time to check in here (especially when there's 10+ pages to check most days), but I do appear at the other place from time to time...

ah, the other place. I am pretty sure I registered, and then forgot my login. thought it was the same for here, but kept failing when i tried. So I haven't been back over there except for the polls and such.

hope you guys are doing well in preparation for the arrivals.

But, it was an eventful day for Penn State University. I'm not so much on punishing current players, but glad to see them remove the wins from Paterno's record during the coverup time period. A terrible ordeal.

I second Norm's complaint. Can we talk to your supervisor? Oh, and I stubbed my toe walking along the Boardwalk a few years ago. I want a free 14 day cruise, 400 more DVC points and a month in the Cinderella Castle Suite.

Evening guys! Meatloaf Monday here at the duck house. One of my meetings today was with a Penn St. alum, he was not a happy camper.

I tryed too use me edumacation offten.

It does stink being in a dead end, low paying job. But, 4 days work weeks make up for it. I have had a variety of PRN jobs to make up the income but decided to take the summer off and enjoy it with my children. Sometimes, I think about the alternative. Other days, I enjoy what I have. While uneventful, this is one of those days.

well, you do keep telling everyone that you're not qualified for any of these jobs you want!!

My DD who is 4 wants to ride ToT in Oct (besides not fully being sure of the age/height requirements) is it bad parenting to let her ride knowing and fully warning her she will prob pee her pants if she does?

I feel like my options are be the strict dad and out right say no you cant or I can take her in and hope the decor scares her alittle (she is above the height requirement) and of course she will prob love the decor and still want to ride. she sees the video and loves it. Kindof scares me for when she becomes a teenager haha

If my daughter wanted to ride and she met the requirements, I'd let her ride. I might pack and extra pair of underwear and change of clothers for her in the park bag.

I havent been to MK in many years so Im up for one voyage in IASW, well I guess im up for atleast one ride per ride, also I know im brand new to the DisDads but when do you get a number?

once you've made payment of dues in full, you get your number. (you can just tell us it's in the mail. alot of people around here fall for that one.)

whats the chances on getting DisDad 1000? and the chances of getting a giant check for 1000 for being the 1000 DisDad? a guy can always dream

chances of being dad #1000 are not very good. Giant Check... even worse.

I was going to say that we could make you a giant check because you can't cash it anyway. It won't fit in the ATM. But now they have the app where you just take a picture...

Not sure how long I will stay at work today, I have a migraine coming on, and the lights in the office are starting to make me sick at my stomach. I'm trying to liberally dose it with caffeine but no noticeable effect so far.

I appreciate the offer and will gladly accept, but no one has ever paid any dues here. It must be something about that mailbox, but the bills seem to get there just fine.
