15 pages in 48 hours. Must have missed something quite profound but I'm too tired to dig for the pearls of wisdom.

Got my crown repaired and the holes in the roof repaired. Hopefully I can get rested up at work tomorrow. I thought I would only have one hole in the shed to repair but closer study found 2 in the shed and one small one in the house. The two small ones were a quick fix with new shingles, roofing felt, luan underlayment and roofing cement. The large one in the shed was requiring too much thought and work so I turned it into an improvement with a piece of plexiglass. My shed now has a skylight.

You missed talk about dreams of moving to a WDW, Barry's poop jokes, owning and running a restaurant, surprising children for vacation, photography equipment, Apple vs PC, fireworks, heat, family matters, a lot of other great stuff, and of course, a shot at Don's missing trip report. Don also agreed to come install a Kegerator for me at the house - I'm sure that is what it said.

DW wants to see the falls, so would have to head that way. I have never driven a car in another country. Does Canada have roads?

Day 6 of no electricity.

I'm thankful that my gas grill has a side burner to heat water (and that I don't need electricity to have water).

I'm pretty good at surviving without the power but I would be more accepting of my fate if it wasn't going to be in the high 90's with 50% humidity.

Stayed home most all day yesterday so I did not have internet access. I'll have to try catching up through the day today.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

UPDATE: The power has been restored!

Now, anybody need some firewood? Any tree that I have laying on the ground is yours for the taking. Just cut it and take it while I make sure that my air condition unit is working properly after all this time of being off.

Only checking the last page today. Busy day. We went on an ABD trip to the windward sided of Oahu. Were here is brown, there it is a lush tropical green. One of the things on the trip was a 2 hour horse riding thing. I am walking funny now. The whirlpool tub is going to feel great later on.

DW wants to see the falls, so would have to head that way. I have never driven a car in another country. Does Canada have roads?

That is good news. I feel your pain. When this little storm called Andrew came through, we went without power for weeks. Back then our water was on a pump so not electricity, no water. Took showers in back yard when it rained. Electricity is a good thing.

We had planned on going to the zoo today but 100+ degrees tells me that is a bad idea. Looks like we will head to the Y for some swimming

The wife and I are the same way during the ADR window timeframe, scrambling to cover all over our dates, making sure to grab all of our dining plans the day we can.

Morning folks...It was a good day yesterday. Got all the piled-up laundry done, visited my ex-co-worker at her new store, and got to visit Dad for his borthday, since he's in town long enough to do his chemo before retreating back to the cottage . I like days where I get a lot accomplished. (I also like days where I get nothing accomplished too. )

Today is another fun-filled work day, tonight we are driving down to Niagara Falls NY for a little bit of shopping for next week's cabin retreat.

Strange...I woke around 3 feeling very stressed out for no good reason. Rest of the night was pretty much a wipeout. Worse of all, I think that I'm pegged to unload the skids today in the store, which we cannot get cooled at all, so I might be in for a long day. Hopefuly the load isn't too bbig, I can get most of it dome in the AM before it gets nasty.

We use hover craft so there is no need for roads.
