You have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2

If the jet stream doesn't shift, we could just wait for the government to mandate rain. Apparently the govt can do whatever they want.:lmao:

I'll bite my tongue, but Belize is looking better all the time.

Not quite sure what to make of this...
Today, the ads on the DIS (for me, anyway) are about going to New Orleans. Well, hoop-de-doo. I could throw a cat and it would land in New Orleans. I don't want to go to New Orleans. New Orleans SQUARE, maybe, but that's in like 2 or 3 years.

Happy Thursday, fellow Dads!:wave2:

PS... oh... NOW the Disney ads show up.:happytv:

Mine are all American Public University. No thanks. I was just telling my summer worker to avoid higher education until you can support yourself at a career first. Then only if you don't have to go in debt to do it.

Only 98 degrees today. We may not hit the century mark. Really not that bad its a dry heat. The dewpoint is 55 with a humidity of 24%. I'll take this over the more typical kentucky weather in the summer where the heat and humidity are equal.

We couldn’t do the ten day Mid-Atlantic road trip I wanted to do so we settled for a few days in the Williamsburg area and made sure that DS could bring a friend along. This trip was more about the boys then about traveling, so we spent a lot of time at Busch Gardens to insure that the kids could hit every coaster up there as often as possible. We did explore the Old Town, and part of the Jamestown area as well. I also succeeded in getting everyone to consent to let me take one detour so I was able to explore the Nauticus Museum (and the USS Wisconsin) on the last day. The boys had way more fun on that side trip they expected or would likely admit. While in Norfolk we also got to hit a Road Food legend and grabbed a little noontime grub at “Doumar's” (which we’ll now highly recommend if’n you’re in the area).

All in all… a good excursion.

:cheer2::cheer2:
Oh, and the rest of the trip sounds nice too!

POP.

Hey guys, just popping in.

Been a beverly the last couple of weeks.

Well, got my breath of air, now back on my hands... as it were.

Did you just POP like Endora from Bewitched?

We just hit 97, Heat Index of 105, 41% humidity and dewpoint of 70.

It's not nice outside.

We should have a competition. Whoever has the hottest weather this weekend gets a free drink/dole whip at the DDC in January.

The forecast down this way looks like this:

Fri - 106
Sat - 106
Sun - 104
Mon - 100
Tue - 96

That’s without adding in the heat index.
I’ll let you know if it actually happens.

Stay cool.:cool2:

We've got 104, 103, 101 for Fri-Sun. And a t-ball game in the 103 heat. Fortunately we play at 9:45. And we've got that lovely southeast humidity too.

My youngest dd turned 8 today. She got to have a day of birthday events with her older sistr and DW. They ate lunch, went shopping, and saw Brave, and returned to pick up a Merida doll. She is really happy right now. Tonite, onto softball for game and birthday softball cupcakes.

OUCH!
I'd take an old school Minnesota winter over that any day

Amen.

Well call me stunned… I’m generally not even missed by my own family.
Thanks for the welcome back (and even if y’all are just bein’ polite, I’t still appreciated).

Stunned.

Welcome. Two dds (10, 8). I'm scared for the future.

We're pretty luck here - the city shoots the fireworks off over Lake Michigan, which currently still has water in it. I usually bring my ipod and play the soundtrack to Wishes or Illuminations to make the fireworks more enjoyable. :thumbsup2

That's a good idea.

Morning Gents,

Yesterday was the coolest dive ever. It was a night Manta Ray dive and there were about 25 of these suckers swimming around us feeding.

Here is a pic from the early dive when one of them is starting to congregate near the feasting spot.

Last day of diving this morning. Tomorrow is a rest day and Saturday we travel to Aluani.

Great picture.

Same here David!

What's scary is, for the first time that I can remember, they actually issued a "Fire Watch" for our area.

We have a red flag warning. I didn't know what that is, but basically,MIT means don't flick your cigarette out your car window for fire hazard. Because, in KY, smoking and littering with your cigarette butte is acceptable, just not on red flag days.

Actually, yes. Somebody posted the post totals for this thread and as always I had to see where I was in relation to my nemesis and I just had to wonder where the Beverly Rob has been. :confused3
.

Andy called me somebody. I feel like one of those characters in Toy Story.

We're only supposed to get into the mid 90s today. DS's t-ball practice was canceled for this evening, which means more pool time!.

Our coach moved the game back to 8:00 PM. No way he'd cancel.

Obviously you have a "summer hours" program... :thumbsup2
B]

This has been a travel week for me. 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Normally, office hours are 7 to 3. I'm having a difficult time with this many hours.

We went to the community pool today. They do not allow any flotation toys including life jackets. How am I supposed to manage two three year olds in a pool with a minimum depth of three feet without life jackets. We were confined to the 10 foot by 10 foot wading pool. The kids didn't mind but I'm not paying $12 to splash in a pool not much bigger than our inflatable pool. :furious:
