Congrats to Audrey. Great pictures. Very cute.

Peanut Butter and Beverly! I'm really getting fed up with the ADR process and Disney dining. I tried making ADR's at my 180 day window and had some issues. I finally got all of them that I wanted except Le Cellier, which they weren't booking yet. I was told to watch the Disney blog for when those ADRs would open up. I saw last week, they posted that the EPCOT restaurants that offer CP packages would open up their ADR's on 6/24.

Last night I get a text from my mom telling me she heard that they are doing ADR's for Le Cellier now. :confused3 I get online and look and there are some available for dinner and there was 1 2:05 lunch available the week we are there, but on a day that doesn't work. I'm :furious:. I played by their rules and planned everything over 180 days out and then got screwed by their system.

That is all

Happy Friday.

That sucks. Hopefully something will open up for you.

My Peanut Butter and Beverly moment. Printed out my travel docs last night and I found Enterprise had me picking up the car on July 30, not June 30. Called them and they quoted me a price $375 more than I was originally quoted. The agent could not do any thing about it nor could her supervisor. They put in some kind of action thing and "someone will get back to me." Probably when I am in Kona. So now I do not have a car in Oahu. We will see what happens but if it is $600 for a compact, I will just rent a car at the resort on a day by day basis. Screws up my plans though.

Heat hangover is in full force here this morning. Lots of celebration last night. It was peaceful with no craziness. Parade I think is tomorrow.

Still haven't packed. Normally I spend more time organizing the snacks and just throw some clothes into a bag, but since we are going to be gone for a while, I need to put more thought into it. Clothes will still be an afterthought. The dive gear and camera stuff will take the most time. Also trying to minimize the number of bags to cut down on baggage fees will be interesting.

Going to be a busy day today. Have a good one guys.

Morning dads. Another hot one here, but its suppose to cool down for the weekend. Getting use to the high temps though, makes for a good excuse to cut out early and sit by the pool. :thumbsup2

Morning, dads

@Andy - that stinks. Hopefully an ADR at Le Cellier opens up for you. If not, just wait outside, and make conversation with someone who looks lost. Get their name (and the time of their ADR), and then send them off to the movie while you go inside. ;)
Great idea! Now I just have to find a group of at least 9 people who look lost.:rolleyes1

I was going to ask if this was your mistake, or Enterprises, but since you didn't remember what day you were supposed to leave on your last trip, I'm just going to go with the safe assumption here. :rolleyes1

Hopefully they'll work something out for you and get back to you before it is too late. Either way, you're going to be in Hawaii, so how bad can it be?

ok another getting to know you.. what would you do if you opened the fridge door and there was only two beers left?

1] would you real quick drink them both cause there are not enough for all three guys?
2] would you speak up and say ok guys time for beer run?
3] would you offer it to the other two guys?
4] would you just quickly close the door so that one of the other guys could find this travesty?
5]other?

other dads feel free to chime in lol

I would tell the other guys it was time for them to go and then drink the beer after they left. ;) :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Again, sounds like a trick question.

If you were down to 2 beers left, is it likely that anyone would be able to walk or speak or make an informed decision at that point?

Another perspective, if there is only 2 beers. That would likely be enough as only Chris and Scott would be drinking, and you previously choked on a bacon wrapped scallop and are likely in emerg.

Good point
Ah yes I forgot that I was in Er or died. So lets say this was before I choked on the bacon/scallops

See this is why you need to make sure you are there. This way some one will be level headed

2 beers left??? That would be a tragedy. I say a combination of 1 and 2. The first 2 (or 1 if you drink fast enough) to find it have the right to kill off the beer supply, but then you absolutely have to restock. The problem becomes where do you find a sober driver???? :scared1:

Wow this would put me at a disadvantage.. As you see in the floor plan ,my bed will be in the master room as the other two get the other room. I will not have line of site to the fridge to see if there are any late night beer nappers.

A great way to close it out. Who would have guessed Miller would hit 7 threes? What are the haters saying now - LeBron only has one ring so he's not as good as Steve Kerr and Derek Fisher.

Well, at least Lebron showed some class at the end by his show of sportsmanship to OKC (he's learned something since he left Cleveland). Dwayne Wade on the other hand looked like a fool.

And of course he isn't as good as anyone who won a championship with Da Bulls! I mean come on, he's no Bill Wennington or Jud Buechler.

This should be solved by keeping a rolling cooler by your side at all times. Who has the energy to get up and go to the fridge anyway.

Yup. The sad thing is how to incorporate that into your parenting. My mom taught me that hard work in life pays off. I'm not sure how old I was when I realized that was a complete lie and it all came crashing down. Do you lie to your kids and give them false hope? Or, do you tell them the truth that life is mostly about who you know and how pretty you are?

We have a saying here at work for those slackers who get ahead. It goes something like "It's only about who you know or..." I'd better leave it at that.

Ugh. That most definitely is peanut butter washed down with Beverly. I hope there is a cancellation you can take advantage of.

Here's how closely I follow the NBA... this is the first I saw that it was finally over. :lmao:

Me too! :rolleyes1

Yep, that’s a tough one.
Rule-3 in our house states: Life’s not fair (and mom & dad can’t fix that).

If were I smart, I’d have taught my young’en to be a selfish monster.
But I just couldn’t do it, so I taught him resilience instead (mostly by example).

Good job. :thumbsup2

I liked that commencement speech from a couple weeks ago where the theme was "You're not special". Something the Entitlement Generation needs to hear. We try and teach that life is not about you. Or maybe a better way to put it is: you're not special, but you're special to me.

$375?? :scared1: That's not cool. It's not a huge island, can you just bike everywhere?

Hope you have a great time. I can't wait to hear about it. Will there be a TR?

Sometimes, just sometimes my job is cool.
Me and my boys Tim Brown and Matt Leinart in Vegas on Wednesday.

And another thing, this means I figured out how to post a picture!

At least one of them went to Notre Dame :thumbsup2

Cool.

College edjamakated are ya?
I remember when people laughed at Dave Z for not knowing how to multi-quote or post pictures. Now I can do both. I finally caught up to Zerfs!!
At least one of them went to Notre Dame :thumbsup2
I wanted to call out Matt for pushing Reggie Bush in to the end zone at USC but chickened out.
