. Were you holding a beer in front of the giraffe? Is that what made him drool?.

Nope, just me and all my awesomeness. I'm sexy and I know it. The giraffe knows it. And now, you know it. Sexy enough to make a giraffe drool, all 15 feet and 3500 pounds of her.

I'm kind of ambivalent about the Monsters University, but I am looking forward to Wreck-It Ralph. Brave was good, but the best part came from DD - "Why aren't they wearing any pants?"

I really liked La Luna, or whatever the Pixar short was called.

I am really looking for to Monsters University, we really liked Inc.

No pants - very cute... :)

We are likely going to see Brave tomorrow night.

Brave is a good film - if the DSIL wants to take the kids to see it again, I could probably be persuaded to tag along. ;)

I really liked Monsters, Inc - but, as I said, I am not sold on the Monsters University (yet). It's possible that I will change my mind on a later trailer, but it seems like a retread.

But these are Disney movies. Did anyone think Stinky Pete or Lotso would win in Toy Story sequels? Think Lightening McQueen would get compacted? Think Ariel would be caught and served for dinner?

To start off, I would give it 3.5 out of 4 stars :thumbsup2
Merida is a different kind of princess and her passion and free spirit are evident throughout the movie. There are some exposed animated butts, so be ready if your kids are small.
Merida makes a choice that has severe consequences and she use work to settings right. This was the teaching part of the movie if you will. On the way out of the theatre, one of my DD's said "see what happens when you think you know more than Mom!". We just busted out laughing.
The movie reflects some of the dynamics found in most families and I think everyone who sees it will walk away entertained. We will see it again for sure.

I would be remissed if I didn't say how awesome the animators are. Meridas hair in close ups show how good Pixar is :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Morning Gents!

it is a rainy Saturday here with DS scheduled for a soccer friendly at 1. May have to break out smoe rain gear.

The two trailers looked great and Wreck It Ralph sounds like it has a great soundtrack.

And, it is a Disney princess film that has both parents present. I guess Rapunzel did, but with the kidnap angle, it was still a single mom raising her.

Right. This one has a strong family message. There is a nice dedication to Steve Jobs at the end of the credits. I forgot to mention that the soundtrack is very well done. The music really helps transport you to Scotland!

Oh, I'm not worried about everything not turning out okay, with maybe an important life lesson learned, characters growing and changing a bit in the process, etc. I'm just on the fence about it - the only real sequel to Monsters, Inc would involve an older Boo (who we will still maintain is Bonnie, in Toy Story 3), but a lot of prequels (Lucas, I'm looking at you!) just leave me flat, even when I enjoyed the original film.

Anyway - back to Brave. Holy shikey, the graphics were amazing! Merida's hair continued to impress me throughout the film. DW and I really liked the triplets - I'd like to see them in a short film or two.

Oh yeah - morning, everyone. Not much on tap today - running a game tournament, where I have gone from 6-8 probable players down to maybe less than 4. (Doh! All within the last 24 hours too - and this was with people confirming weeks ago.) Have to mow at least some of the lawn this evening as well.
