Congrats to Brady in the disdad NCAA basketball Tournament. I got #6. Not bad for someone who doesn't watch college basketball outside my Ky teams.

A dream or an idea? Are referring to the whole lock them in a tower thing?

Funny you should mention that. I offered to keep her in the house instead of going to college. No going to class and the whole studying thing. She thought about it for a second and passed. Need to make plans to get away in September because I will be an empty nester.

You will miss her, but you want her to be successful in the next part of her life. Still, I can only imagine. I will be there soon enough. As for Septmber, you are welcome to come visit me and buy me dinner. I will drive you to whatever restaurant you want to go to here. Note, other than th chain restaurants, they are mostly BBQ. We don't have much crime here as we average less than 1 murder a year, so know one will steal your wallet.

about 8 pages behind, but I'm working an overnight shift tonight... so lots of time to catch up.

Helloooooo.... what have I missed?

Hello.

Just got done doing my 2nd least favorite task (next to anything that has to do with heights:scared1:) That's right Plumbing:eek:

For the last couple weeks it has taken about 15mins for the water to go down after a shower:eek: so last night I poured drain opener down the drain and it didn't do a thing:rolleyes1, so this afternoon after hearing my wife complain I decided to change all the pipes in the bathtub all the way to the main, after taking it apart I found the main problem was my wifes long hair:eek:

My wife came down to the basement, I had pipes on the floor everywhere and my wife asks do you know what you are doing, I said no, but how hard can it be, I can do a exhaust system on a car, it pretty much the same only smaller:confused3 Well needless to say a couple trips to Loews and a couple of hours later, I'm happy to report that it is done, water goes down quicker then it has in years, and even replaced the original 1 1/4 pipes with 1 1/2 to make it all uniform, and incase your wondering no leaks, hope I never have to touch it again:worship:

good job! We have some plumbing issues of our own and I keep putting off dealing with them... out of fear!!

Dragnet on the radio, hot chocolate, sharpened pencils and the 1040 form. I refuse to leave until it is completed.

If nobody jumps in I guess I will have to complete them.:rolleyes1

hope you got it done. still working on mine. (holding out hope that I'll find another deduction somewhere)

At my son's karate class today my wife kinda shocked me:confused3 I was talking Disney with one of the parents there since they are going to WDW during the summer and they asked how many times a year we go, I said once a year,, my wife said well maybe this year it will be twice:confused3, so I said really, she said maybe the 1st week in Nov, I'm on vacation and she only works 2 days that week she was going to see if she could get off, I told her she has a month to decide since I don't want to miss the 180 ADR window:rolleyes1

So we will see what happens, I'm in no position to say no to another WDW trip:thumbsup2

Very nice! Hope that works out for you!

Heh...when I got to work this morning we found out that yesterday the whole place went to Beverly. To the point the boss called in HIS boss in to discuss the matter. Let's just say, a little Karma was dealt.:rotfl2: NOt sure what the fallout will be, but isn';t going to get me! :woohoo: Spent the morning fixing things, tomorrow is a big load of stock, all for me to tear down. Lots of angry people I get to show up. Best early present EVER!:lmao:

Nice!

Final Pic Live Trip Report.

We are all home. I couldn't sleep tonight so I thought I would post these last pics from today before we left.

Our room. I would have preferred a room with a view of the marsh, but this was still nice.

Picked up one of these. I hope they are the same for Fall Break.

temporary-52.jpg

Our final act was breakfast. The Mickey waffles are full size here - warm, soft, and served with whipped butter and syrup.

temporary-53.jpg

One last walk out the pier and a shot of the marsh. What a beautiful day.

We left around 11:00 AM today. With young dds, you know it's stops for bathroom breaks. But, we managed to get to Atlanta by 3:45 PM. And, wouldn't you know, praise the Lord, no traffic. Almost on the other side of Atlanta, an RV must have just run out of gas, battery, or blown a tire and looked like it was trying to pull off the road and didnt make it. It blocked the right two lanes, but that was only a few minute delay. I did not stop for pics. Then, we hit Nashville around 7:00 PM (CT - no, Barry did not send the jet rocket for the minivan) so we again escaped traffic. We made it home at 9:00 PM.

This truly was another special vacation. We had perfect weather the entire time, with only a t-storm one time that closed the beach, but it was around 2:30 PM when we had planned to leave anyway. It was in the high 70s or low 80s the rest of the time. Thank you for letting me share my vacation with you. I still have 2 more vacation days this week, but will be washing clothes and the van tomorrow, and then Friday, who knows. Maybe a trip over to the zoo. We'll see. Maybe I can go and fall asleep now. Good night.

No, thank YOU for sharing it with us!!

Federal taxes done. State taxes tomorrow. :scared: Oh well, at least I am employed so I earn money to pay taxes on.

Tomorrow is DD and my dad's BDay. I will get her up in about 6 hours and she will call him and say "Happy Birthday to us Poppy!"

congrats on getting federal done. Happy Belated Birthday to DD and Poppy!

A couple of pics from the night.

They had a fly over and unfurled this huge flag. Pretty cool.

And the first Marlin at bat, a ball. Reyes didn't get on base.

That starting lineup picture makes me sad. The homerun thing makes me laugh! The flag and the skyline are cool!

good job! We have some plumbing issues of our own and I keep putting off dealing with them... out of fear!!

if you guys are not brave enough to tear your plumbing apart.. Get a product called "thrift" you can only get it from a plumbing supply place. But it will work 100 times better than any of the crappy liquid plumber!! :thumbsup2

Today is historically one of the busier days at work. Plus there should be 15 or so skids of stock to break down, plus possibly 4 beer skids :scared1: So at least there is something to do :lmao: I've brought some painkillers with me just in case. DW is taking me out to dinner to Tuckers Marketplace, main;y cause I'll eat for free, kids pay their ages, so Itll be a relative cheap meal :thumbsup2 It'll still be a good day at work though, people are unravelling fast, and I get to watch the show.

Later !

hope you enjoyed the show!

Yeah spent a week asking people how to sign my son up for Beavers:headache:. It didn't help when I tried to explain it was the group you go into before Cubs:headache::headache:.

sounds like something out of National Lampoon's... "Excuse me. Miss? Could you tell us where we could find the Beavers? No, it's not for me. It's for my son."

:lmao::rotfl2:

Morning Dads! Some office work and when I get tired of that I have some greenhouse and plot work to do. I always try and get the desk cleaned off before vacation in case I don't come back. I wouldn't want people to try to sort through all this mess. The semi-final answer came down from the Dean and things are relatively calm (a bit like the DMZ in Korea). The Dean's time is short though so I expected another round of chaos in the next 18 months.

Enjoy the reprieve from the chaos.

Anybody reading the new Kingdom Keepers book yet? I downloaded it from Kindle the other day and am maybe 1/4 through it. Not bad, but the last few haven't been near as good as the first 2, IMO. I'm just not as into this one. :confused3 They've got so many characters in it anymore that it feels like it keeps jumping around and it is a little bit harder to follow. :confused3

I've listened to all of them in my car. I thought they were ok but not as good as I'd hoped. Seems like the kind of story that may actually be better as a tv series or movie than a book. I like the concept and all of the references to Disney stuff that people like us might understand, but I think the writing is actually a little weak.

Always wanted to read them, but the library never had them. Will look for them on epubbud.

I recommend reading "Down and out in the Magic Kingdom" for a good sci-fi story with some disney fix!!

So, here's some interesting info if you didn't already know it. Don't keep sand and sea shells in your van overnight. What a stink!!!!

A long day of laundry. All the clothes are now washed. The towels are in the dryer and then some blankets. The minivan is cleaned out and febreezed. The suitcases are put up. Need to unpack the kitchen sink still.

But, here is the payoff from that awful smell.

temporary-55.jpg

I soaked them in bleach. They look and smell better.

Opening day and the Cubs already have me looking for a sharp object.:sad2:

thanks for the tip! :lmao:

I started this post at noon. Boards are just a bit sloooooooow... :headache:

I find it to be slow during the day all the time now. Only seems to respond well in the wee hours...

State taxes done. ouch. I miss Ohio.

what state has the lowest? maybe I'll move there.

As a matter of fact I am Vice President of the Universe...so Yes I do! :rotfl2:

so your sole responsibility would be breaking ties in the galactic senate?

On another note, DW's co-workers sent us an Edible Arrangement. I think they pretty much nailed it. :thumbsup2

Very nice!! I might order one of those now just for the clubhouse!!

hope you enjoyed the show!

It was a show, didn't think I'd be running it though :rotfl2: Tomorrow should be better I hope.

A very nice night tonight, we headed over to Jodi's cousin's place in the Downsview area of Toronto. First time I had been there since her uncle died a couple of years ago. We had an unofficial birthday party for both myself and Jo's cousin who is a whole day older then me :lmao: so two birds with one stone. Dinner was good ol' fashioned fish & chips.

My birthday haul from DW and the girls was a load of books all on the Titanic. I've got some good quality reading ahead of me.

DW found this pic and grabbed it for me. I just hope I can find the other half somwhere...

my issues are more in the area of pressure and temperature regulation... which may mean just pressure?
