2 more days of purgatory! 12 hours today and 10 tomorrow. :headache:

Worse yet, my DW has a conference for her job tomorrow 2 and a half hours away. It starts at 8:30a  and won't be done till 4:30p.

Needless to say, there will be a whole lot of last minute scrambling/packing tomorrow night.

We have to be on the road by 5:30a to get the airport. :scared1:

I hope my bottle of scotch will be waiting for me when we get there! :wizard:

Have an awesome trip Scott....

Why did I reproduce?

Probably for tax purposes.

I laughed out loud at this! But it's part of the magic of Disney that even the clueless seem to have a good time...

I was reading an article previewing the upcoming Masters tournament where the writer asked a panel whether they preferred the Masters or the U.S. Open. He compared the U.S. Open to real life--most of us just keep our heads down, work hard, and try and get out of there with a par before disaster strikes. Then he compared the Masters to Disney World--nothing to do with real life, everything is perfect, sealed off from the outside world, orchestrated for maximum drama and effect...

Is it any wonder I like the Masters better?

Sorry folks - had a typo in there.

Just to show you I couldn't even type what he said on purpose.

I know you probably read the Bold Part up there and said "So what, if the called it "THE Magic Kingdom", why does Brian think that was so funny that he had to emphasize it with (That's exactley what he said)."

Well, the reason I thought it was so funny (or sad actually), was because he didn't call it "The Magic Kingdom", he called it "The MagicAL Kingdom". :sad2:
I just want to cry.

NOW it makes sense... :rotfl2:

Nothing like the kicking in of last minute pressures of life to add to the sweet aroma of a much treasured Disney vacation. :joker:

Thanks Brian :thumbsup2

Yeah - and we had to ask a cousin of ours to come and watch our DD's tomorrow since all of our normal sitters are busy. So she's supposed to be at our house tomorrow at 7:15a and she's coming from about 45 minutes away.

I'm hoping she shows up on time! :fingerscrossed:

Hey there.. is there room in this cave for one more?
I've been streaming DIS Radio through the TiVo for a few years, and finally decided to check out this DISboards.com they're a part of. Jehosaphat, this place is hoppin'!! Wait, what's the preferred term... oh yeah.. JASMINES KISS this place is still incredible!!
Just so y'all know, I can't claim as many of the qualifications as most of you can, but some do apply, especially the ones about getting more excited than the rest of the family when plans are being made (like now... 25 DAYS to go!!!!) Also, my wife told me repeatedly to stop reading the DISdads board last night... said I was getting too many ideas.
So anyway, if you let me in, I've got a good Splash Mountain pic to share. Not quite as good as the famous one, but I was proud of ours 'til I saw that one.

GREETINGS!
Welcome to the club! So.....where's this Splash Mountain pic?:confused3

Introducing my first Grand Baby!!
Liam
Congratulations!

We should of bet on Uconn Kentucky girls BB.
And you thought betting on the Cubs made you a degenerate gambler? You're offering to gamble on Women's Basketball.
Find a rehab center, Tim. Or we'll have to have an intervention.

Maybe I can pass you off as my adopted son and trick Barry into buying it for you. :lmao:

Being that I'm about the same age as you - I don't think we'd be able to pull it off.

Who am I kidding....it's Barry.....it just might work!! :rotfl2: :lmao:

You can actually adopt someone older than you! When we adopted DD I was looking through all of the literature and sure enough, it was all spelled out right there.

I know why some animals eat their young. DD was supposed to be home to pack for the trip, wash the mutt I did not want and do some minor clean up chores around the house. Instead she decides to help out a friend with math.

Long story but it still isn't done and my blood pressure is rising. She assures me, "It will get done." Am mad but can't really destroy her because she was helping a friend.

Why did I reproduce?
I thought the mutt was living with one of her friends? Or did that fall through?

Probably for tax purposes.
::yes::

You think it's awesome now....you should see it in HD. :rolleyes1

Baby Update:

Again, there is nothing to update. We went to the doc yesterday for a routine appointment. DW's blood pressure was elevated - but not in the hypertensive range. Doc sent her up to Labor & Delivery to be monitored. 2 hours hooked up to the monitors, 6 vials of blood taken, a urine sample, and an ultrasound - and everything looks fine. We have scheduled April 5th to induce, but she's still hoping to get him out sooner.

Hopefully sooner for everyone's sake, but at least a date is set. And I could think of a lot worse Birthdays then April 5th :rolleyes1

I do recall at this point my DW starting the chant "GET THIS THING OUT OF ME!" :lmao: Must be universal.....:rolleyes1

Good morning everyone :surfweb:

Morning duck and everyone else. Hope everyone else has a fine Disney day!

Matt

good morning all!!! ill be in the office all day today. just to much work to get done. have a good day! :thumbsup2

Thats funny I dont care who you are!! But the truth about the magic of Disney is right there for everyone to see.

Today looks like another boring day of procedures and paperwork, with a meeting thrown in to break up the monotony of the day. :surfweb:

Matt

Morning all!

Morning all.

Morning...

Laundry morning...ugh

good morning

Neck Pain update

So after seeing my useless Dr. the pain continued.

On Monday I made an appt. with a registered massage therapist (for today at 9:00 am.)

Well, yesterday the pain wasn't as bad, and today it's not to bad. By "not bad", I mean it's still there but more of an annoance or discomfort than pain.

I am still going to go to the appt. and see if we can kick all remnants of it.

Any progress is a good thing.

Do what is best but I am partial to April 5th. DD and my dad both have birthdays then.

sounds like briana cj. why do it now, heck, i got 10 min. before we leave. drives me nuts!!

Daughters. What can you do.

Because most dive trips have a surcharge for single occupancy?:confused3

That and if you are a single, they make you buddy up with someone and they usually need a lot of hand holding.

Hey Nathaniel! (The Disney Fanatic)

Hope it is a good one.

That's not so bad... come on CJ. Afterall she was looking out for her friend.

Give her a chance to prove that indeed, "It will get done".

You are right but it is going to kill me. Just now she is washing the dog.

You have my sympathy. Had to go to the doctor to get a shot just so I could lift my head. Feel better.

Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Have a good time Scott. And Norm, same to you.

Probably for tax purposes.

That is a plus. Not sure it is worth it though.

We are scrambling to get ready. Have an hour to leave to do a couple of last minute things and get to the airport. Still need to pack.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. If I get Internet, I will check in just to make sure you guys are enjoying yourself. Signing off.

Norm and CJ - Have a great trip! Enjoy your R&R. :thumbsup2

Today's setting up to be a pretty darn busy work day - hope that means the day goes fast.

pirate: Argh!

LOL.... I guess this is what I have to look forward to. :faint:

Enjoy your trip up here this weekend! Too bad it is going to be chilly. Make sure you tell DD that these temps are nothing. 15 for a high with a 30 mph wind is much colder in January. :lmao:

HAHAHA!!!!!

When I read it I was thinking 'I call it THE Magic Kingdom too' Then I thought you were referencing the fact that they 'already' saw F! the night before... :lmao:

But your friend isn't TOTALLY wrong... It is a MagicAL Kingdom! ;)\

Ha! I don't do much sports gambling. I might get into a pool here or there or bet friends no more than $150-200 a year. So I don't need an intervention (unless the intervention is taking place North of 192 and West of I4) :rotfl2:

I hope you get some runs in before then! popcorn:: :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I had to laugh out loud at the Eviction Notice comment on Facebook:thumbsup2

Not even going to try to catch up...

But will say congrats to Carl!:thumbsup2

good morning!

day and a half behind... been too tired to get online the last couple of nights after work.

Ooooh! Score! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

So since I'm bringing my son, I should get two pairs of ears right? I hope so, that way I can give one to DD. :confused3

That's what I did. I took DS out of the stroller and they gave me two passes for the hats. A family behind me had a younger baby in their stroller and didn't get a pass for the baby. :confused3 They didn't question it though. I saw a lot of people trying to get more for their children that weren't there, by showing pictures of the kids on their phones. That didn't work.

Presentation finished for tomorrow, Girl Scout cookie paperwork all finished for the troop and money deposited, caught up on the board, and the drama has escalated to the Dean level so it is no longer on my radar. Maybe a peaceful night of sleep for a change.

Good night gentlemen.

hope you got that good night's rest!

We were in there tonight and the CM told us about the special vinylmation that goes on sale tomorrow. It is made of clear resin with "Mickey Ear" and "25" confetti sprinkled in it so no two are the same.

I have two vinylmations. One because it fits my collection, and the other was from DVC as part of a gift bag. I didn't even look at them.

Sounds like a nice day!

Me, I'm waiting with a bunch of (other) old men for a blood draw. Doctors appointment on Friday. Finished up the taxes last night and was pleasantly surprised to get money back from the Federal, but still owe the state. Research day for me, and going to work from home today! :cool1:

better than owing both, I suppose. Good to work from home!!

Saw this posted elsewhere and it put a smile on my face this morning. Had to share with you guys.

:rotfl2:

Everyone, I have a favor to ask. I leave early tomorrow and won't have time to be posting. Would someone please pick up my slack and wish those of us who are having birthdays in the next week or so a Happy Birthday?

It wouldn't be the same.

Good luck.
