I survived the Disney Store Ear Giveaway!

Chris, Couldn't find the pins, but then again, I couldn't find anything That I didn't already know where it was because there had to be at least 50 strollers in the store:scared1:! No kids in them, they were running around elsewhere.

Took 40 minutes just to wait in line then get my ears since they were limiting the number of people in the store at once. I was standing in line to pay, the line went across the middle of the store and then turned at the side wall, of course a new line started forming in 2 separate directions. Two ladies started arguing who was next and where the "real line" was, I turned around and told them "Smarten up! You're at The Disney Store not Universal Studios!". Word must have goten around because by the time I got to the register the CM thanked me for my crowd control.:rotfl2:

Good Job!!

Hey guys.. I survived the free ears giveaway as well.

I got to the mall about 10 minutes before the Disney Store opened and I was about the 100th person in line. The store opened right at 10 and the CMs handed out vouchers for the hats. The line moved pretty quickly and by 10:10 I had my ears in hand. The entire store was 25% off and I started browsing. It was hard to navigate with the stroller since I had Christopher with me. I couldn't find the limited edition vinylmation. I asked the CM and they were behind the counter. She handed me 2 and said they only received 44 of them. I ended up buying 4 tshirts too. Here are a few pics....

Baby Update:

Again, there is nothing to update. We went to the doc yesterday for a routine appointment. DW's blood pressure was elevated - but not in the hypertensive range. Doc sent her up to Labor & Delivery to be monitored. 2 hours hooked up to the monitors, 6 vials of blood taken, a urine sample, and an ultrasound - and everything looks fine. We have scheduled April 5th to induce, but she's still hoping to get him out sooner.

Sorry you're still waiting, but good to hear that everyone is healthy. :thumbsup2

I heard jumping around on a trampoline hastens the process... Not sure if we have any doctors in the house that can confirm? :confused3

I have no problem saying them since every time they come out of my mouth it is part of a negative reference:headache:.

I've kind of had it out for them ever since I went to Islands of Adventure and found out that I was too tall for the ride restraint system they use, and since they used the same system on all their rides, I could not ride any coasters.

I tried to speak to their guest services for some kind of compensation since according to them I was handicapped and couldn't ride any coasters. Their response was basically "Yeah, but you could do all the other things like the parades and shows."

didn't know that. Never been to IOA. It's been at least 15 years since I've been to "that other park" down there.

Hey guys, I'm way behind and have no idea what is going on. If I missed anything of importance, let me know.

Spent the last 3 days in Gatlinburg with the in-laws. I considered trying to give Nate a holler to meet up, but I didn't have a vehicle and I was at the liberty of my MIL's schedule which is full and subject to change without notice.

I was sitting in the cabin Monday morning with my BIL and the kids watching TV and BS'ing. I saw FIL walk out the door, but everybody had been going outside to sit on the porch so I didn't think anything of it. About 5 minutes later he walked back into the cabin and asked us why we weren't in the van. :confused3 Apparently, we had plans to all go shopping :headache: and BIL and I were the last to get the memo.:sad2:

Aside from some scheduling issues and not as much free time as I'd liked to have had, it was a nice trip.:thumbsup2 :lmao:

Welcome back! I can't believe you weren't sitting in the van, excited about any chance to go shopping.

Sorry folks - had a typo in there.

Just to show you I couldn't even type what he said on purpose.

I know you probably read the Bold Part up there and said "So what, if the called it "THE Magic Kingdom", why does Brian think that was so funny that he had to emphasize it with (That's exactley what he said)."

Well, the reason I thought it was so funny (or sad actually), was because he didn't call it "The Magic Kingdom", he called it "The MagicAL Kingdom". :sad2:
I just want to cry.
:rotfl::lmao:
April 5th is next week! :scared1:

I hope you get some runs in before then! popcorn:: :rolleyes1:rolleyes1
That's not nice. I know it's a competition and all, but hoping he gets the runs is just plain cruel.

I know why some animals eat their young. DD was supposed to be home to pack for the trip, wash the mutt I did not want and do some minor clean up chores around the house. Instead she decides to help out a friend with math.

Long story but it still isn't done and my blood pressure is rising. She assures me, "It will get done." Am mad but can't really destroy her because she was helping a friend.

Why did I reproduce?
It could be worse. She could be washing her friend and helping the dog with math.

Dinner in Racine tonight: Eggplant Parmesan. On more than one occasion I've heard of eggplant parmesan being the meal that kickstarted labor. I've also heard of a restaurant that guarantees it. If you come in after your due date and eat it and labor hasn't begun in the next 24 hrs, your meal is free! Although that restaurant probably isn't near you.

:wave2: Hi Andy.

I'm assuming that wasn't a thumb....:rotfl2:
Eh, it was somewhere in between. I have a good time when we go, and I do enjoy spending time with everyone. I just get frustrated by the fact that we always just stay 3 nights and it is always based on MIL's schedule. We go every other year and always do the SAME things.

MIL wants to pay for everyone, and that's fine, and it is also why we only stay 3 nights. I've been trying to talk her into letting everyone pay for a night so that we can share the cost, stay a whole week and be able to relax a little more and do some more things while we're there.

Welcome back! I can't believe you weren't sitting in the van, excited about any chance to go shopping.
:sad2: At least they have a big knife store. BIL and I almost came back with blow guns and throwing knives, but we didn't want to have to hear about it from the DW's. Instead we each bought a couple of pocket knives and got to be questioned about how much we spent. I showed DW my receipt for 19.94 and asked her how much her hour at the spa cost. She dropped the subject, but I never did get an answer to that question.:rolleyes1

I've heard something else works, but this is a family board.

Sorry to hear the trouble, but as you said, it was a paid for trip. The bright side.

Continued prayers.

Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Have a good time Scott. And Norm, same to you.
.

Thanks.

Norm and CJ - Have a great trip! Enjoy your R&R. :thumbsup2!

Thanks. To you as well.

I saw that. A great representation of our state.

Why did I reproduce?

Same reason as me. I thought I had something to offer future generations. Now,not so sure.

sounds like briana cj. why do it now, heck, i got 10 min. before we leave. drives me nuts!!

Same thing in our house.

Not exactly trouble. I could have just spent some more time sitting in the sun room relaxing. Like the whole time we were there. This is the view that my BIL and I were enjoying before we were told it was time to go shopping.

Have a great trip Norm!
. :rolleyes1

Thanks.

+1

I met up with an FFA teacher today who was evaluating one of my summer employees who is up for an award. I noticed she had a UTK ring on and said "I got my Masters at Knoxville."
"When did you graduate?"
"1986"
"I was born in 1986."

:headache:

Your not old. You are young challenged.

:sad2: I'm not old! Just a kid stuck in an 41 year old's body! :lmao:

You have a great trip too!
! :rotfl2:

Thanks young'un. Er, you're my elder.

norm, i forget where your going? your going to the shore? id go back and look but its been so slow on here, you would be back by the time i scroll back to find it. have a good trip. :thumbsup2

Disney Hilton Head Island Resort.

Have a safe trip :thumbsup2. I will live my DVC fantasy through you :lmao:

Never give up hope.

Randall & Norm Have A GREAT Trip:thumbsup2

Thanks.

Never give up hope.

I've all but given up hope. DW likes Disney but I love Disney. She doesn't believe that we'll be there often enough to make it worthwhile. I disagree. When we "discuss" it, it rarely ends well.
