Sounds fun. Can you fit me in?

Sure but I don't think you'd like it. River house, cigars, golf, omelettes, grilled meat, March madness... No fun, no fun at all...:sad1:

Besides, everyone there will be rooting for UVA over UF. A lot of my friends went to Virginia.

Doesn't your whole state close down this time of year?
Yes. Yes it does.

Been that way for about a month since the Girls High School post season started. Boys are on the Semi-State round this weekend, and we have NCAA in full swing, so the state of Indiana is currently in a basketball coma.

So yesterday I go into work and have to fix ANOTHER problem the manager and/or assistant made in regards to orders placed. Last week, they placed an order for the wrong week, and if things got messed up too much, they would cancel the load, which is a BAD thing. Monday morning I worked with logistics and got it all straightened up, no probs. I go in on Wednesday and find out the assistant placed an order for Friday which is not a delivery day, so another problem that I had to fix yesterday. Fortunately it was an easy fix, but word got round to one of the district managers who came around to see what the problems were.
It was funny trying to see a couple of the clueless people all hover around trying to act like it was all easy to do/fix when they were not even involved. I had come off of lunch and went into the office where they were having the little meeting (which they tried to keep me unaware of). When Eric the boss saw me, he waved me over, confirmed what I had fixed and gave me the thumbs up, told me to keep them in line.

He pulled me aside soon afterwards, and commented that the other DM said it was too bad I wasn't around those mornings, I'd have had it adressed sooner, if not caught it outright as it happened, and made me feel like a million bucks, commenting "trust me, we know what you do around here, it's noted" which is the first real compliment from the higher-ups I've recieved. Really made my day, and a huge confidence boost, which can only lead to better things. :thumbsup2

Nice job Brent :thumbsup2

March in Indiana is a beautiful thing :thumbsup2

Nope… not much fun there.

However…
If you were to lose the cigars, then we’d be discussing something close akin to nirvana.

NCAA Tournament ownage.

Doesn't your whole state close down this time of year? Since I work at home, not much productivity is planned for the next couple of weeks..

Yes. Yes it does.
currently in a basketball coma.

That's nothing. In KY Congress yesterday, a bill/ legal action was debated to prevent UPS from airing a commercial during the NCAA tournament of the 20th anniversary of Laettner, who should have already been ejected, hit a game winning shot against UK.

I am no fan of Duke (to be sure), but it takes a “mountain” mentality to hold a grudge that passionately for that long.

And coming from untold generations of “mountain” folk…
I understand completely.
:thumbsup2 <====Yah, that's a thumb
:lmao:

Never mind, sounds like a crummy weekend. NOT! I will be there shortly. Can take the UF ribbing. We Gators are used to it.

I saw your bracket, no NCAA Tournament ownage for you. Remember that game. Isn't that anniversary a Statewide day of mourning?

The DW has most of her things packed and most of the DD's. I won't take long to pack mine.

Still have to make our T-shirts up! We printed our iron-on's this past weekend. Just need to find the time when my DD's aren't around to get them ironed on! :thumbsup2

I ordered matching shirts from Disney one year. We had a matching Mickey, Goofy, and one words "Disney". I couldn't find male adult tinkerbell shirt, so I wore Grumpy while DW and dds matched.

those kids are going to be surprise and have a nice time today . What is the Spagetti Factory ?

There is a restaurant in Louisville with the same name.

she wants to go to school in NY. Her intended major is Psychology and there are a lot of research opportunities there. If she stayed In-State, it would be paid for. The two other schools are kicking in $20,000 to get her to go there. So, not paying retail. Luckily, we can afford it. It also gives me an excuse to visit NY..

Currently, one of my benefits is free tuition for child at my University institution. That is my plan to pay for it.

Last year's UK t-shirts said "I still hate Laettner". Apparently, counting to 20 is not our strength, but the ability to remember and hate is.

Good Morning everyone....

We are currently sitting at DW's work while she takes care of a few important matters before we head off to the Science Center for the kids to blow off some steam:lmao: This is the only part of the day the girls know about. After that it's off to the Spagetti Factory for dinner, then the big surprise for the girls. They have no idea DW won tickets to the Disney on Ice show a couple of months ago, so this should be fun. :thumbsup2 They are not the greatest seats, so I'm not sure what kind of princess pics I can score, but we'll see. Still, shoudl make for a memorable day.

Wonder if the thread will still be around when we get home tonight..:confused3:rotfl2:

Enjoy the show!!

:thumbsup2 Way to go! Good to see you getting some recognition!!

That should be a Master Card commercial....

Priceless.

One of the best sports movies ever is Hoosiers.
::yes::

A local team here won their first sectional in 60 years this year. They have lost 2 games all year and are ranked #2 in class A. They made it to the Semi State this weekend, and their athletic department has sold over 3,000 tickets for a game in a 5,500 seat gym that has to host 4 schools this Saturday. That's Hoosier Hysteria.

I like that plan. Care to adopt her?

My father was a professor at a catholic university, which enabled my sisters and I to go to college at any partnering universities (there were about 100 or so in the country) for free... This led to many family members asking the same thing as CJ... :rotfl2: It's a great deal... :thumbsup2

Whoa… That’s quite the benefit right there.
Nice!

One of the reasons I stay. It doesn't include food or books, and only one child at a time. But, with a 2 year age difference, I have 6 years of college covered. Hopefully, they'll keep that benefit for another decade.

Think it can go thru before semester starts? Would your FL girl want a degree from KY?
