Hey guys,

My FIL has been found safe. He was pulled over by police for speeding in Lynchburg, VA. When they asked him where he was, he said, "Delaware." He had no recollection of ever having been in North Carolina. So obviously he's very disoriented at the least. The police are taking him to the hospital in VA to get checked out and we have some stellar family members who are making the drive to get him and return the rental car. I was about to hop in the car to go get him but my wife forbade me from leaving her alone tonight after the ordeal she's been through.

Thanks for the prayers (they work!) and the offers for help. You guys rock.

A real miracle! Glad he's safe (& getting checked out!)

Those start this weekend for us, of course New England wrestling is like middle school wrestling compared to your neck of the woods and central US...

nazareth has had good teams and guys for years. as long as i could remember. we had a state champion last year. the kid was state runner up for three years. most of our league ranks in the top 5 every year.

I wondered if you would get that reference.

Of course - he is (was) a fellow canadian...

I used to be a HUGE WWF fan in the 80's..

I used to go watch live at Maple Leaf Gardens...

I would wait near the players locker rooms, where they would come in, and meet them all on there way in.

I shook his hand, and his brother's (Lanny Poffo).

I also smacked the Iron Sheik on the back, he turned around and threatened me... I got a laugh out of it, thinking he was playing his on stage character. Little did I know he is actually extremely insane... if you ever listen to Howard Stern you will know what I mean - if not, youtube Iron Sheik on Howard Stern

PA is a hotbed for excellent wrestling... We have some good guys just not on the same level as some other states... Wrestling is just not a priorty sport here...

When I wrestled, we ran more than the track teams, swam more than the swim teams and lifted and got beat up more than the football teams... We would have football players quit within the week of starting... Not saying other sports arent tough, just a different animal and a different mentality needed.

I knew he was Canadian. I was a big WWF fan and must admit, it was the training, the prayers, the vitamins, .... what ya gonna do .... I would do the three poses. I was a Hulk Hogan fan. I liked his theme music. I remember Hulk Hogan and Stunning Steve Austin (Stone Cold), Superstar Bill Dundee, and Jerry the King Lawler here in KY. The King never moved up with the big boys, because he wasn't big or good enough, so better to rule the small wrestlin divisions. We now have King's furniture stores here owned by the same.

I also high five'd Hulk Hogan after his match with Mr. Wonderful Paul Orendorf... at Exhibition Stadium in Toronto as well.

It was one of the events that was broadcast on PPV.

Where he got his "revenge" for being blind sided with a pile driver.

Going to bed already... that's confidence. :rotfl:

Yeah, KY received a waiver for No Child Left Behind. Now, we can return to leaving child behind. Who votes that your school system be set up on the KY educational system standards?...

Don't get me started. We even have our kids in a private school and it isn't much better. What really irritates me is the potential that is being wasted. I know kids that could compete with any other kid if they were given half an opportunity and could get out of the hollers. Just wrote a reference letter for a student for a community college scholarship for diesel mechanic. Nothing wrong with that at all if that is what he wants to do and I would be the last to suggest a BS/BA for everyone, but he has great potential but was not exposed to opportunities along the way. All he knows is get in with the coal company, preferably above ground and this is how he plans to do it.

If it wasn't for the fact that SWMBO and I think kids need their grumpy old dad around I would have them packed up and back to OH tomorrow.

Um....Poffo was Macho Man's brother, not Hitman's...

D'oh... you are correct sir...

Brett Hart's brother was also a wrestler too... but I stand corrected.

Glad someone is paying attention.

Anyone aware that Randy Poffo (pre-Macho Man) played professional baseball?
