Looking at making ADRs for our August trip. Has anyone done the Plaza Restaurant? What did you think?

We ate there on Friday. We were on the dining plan and none of us finished all of the food. I got the brownie sundae. It was huge. I had the burger, wife had a turkey sandwich (i think). Like Chris said, the burger and sandwich wasn't anything special but all was very filling. I would go for it.

One thing if I could take back would be the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert party. Not worth it in my eyes. The desserts were ok, but were only out for a little while. they were all gone half way through the Magic memories and you video. Then you had to fight for a spot to even see the fireworks. It was all in all ok but I didn't feel it was worth the money.

Hey guys. We can't thank everyone enough for the prayers. The CT scan came back negative. No sign of strokes, tumors or bleeding. We still need to schedule the stress test with the cardiologist. Having said that, DW is really, really tired today. She stills has some numbness in her jaw and some pressure in her upper chest.

I appreciate the continued prayers. It is comforting to both of us to know that I have you guys to lean on :thumbsup2
good to hear david! :thumbsup2

Another place for a BIG burger is the Sci-fi Restaurant in HS.
Bacon Double Cheeseburger.
I ordered it and the server asked me if I was hungry. I said yes, why? He then informed me it is a burger with one pound of meat. MMMMM.

Forgot to take a picture of it.

So, I downloaded an explore Disneyland app on the iPad and now the DD's want to go. I told them we have a cruise planned first but they are jumping ship on that idea. Disney runs west coast cruises don't they?

What a fun idea.

Sometimes I wonder why I stray away from the DDC and the TRs board. I was reading about the FP return time enforcement out there in DISland. I was going to post on it but I figured I'd just save my breath (and by breath I mean typing).

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2873893:

Disney is allowed to enforce a policy they used not to enforce? Will my FP from 2 years ago still be allowed?

Just threw my 2 cents in there myself. Brought up the refillable mugs. :scared1:

Now, I purchased my refillable mug back in 2000 on my honeymoon and no where on it says that my refills were limited to that year. Besides, I'm still thirsty. I just paid $20 million to get to Disney this vacation and I'm not paying 1 penny more for a coke.

the place should be just about empty.

Really. How dare there be people in line for TSM. It's not that popular of a ride. We drove 10,000,000 miles to WDW only to stand in line to wait in line for 7 hours. Not fair. I want my whole trip refunded, including gas money and new shoes for standing 7 hours.

Don;t leave out pool-hopping! :rotfl2:

Hey, I'm on vacation. And, while I can go swim in my pool, how dare you say that I can't get on my swimsuit, and my whole family get on there's, pack up all our inflatables, cooler of food and drink, and then get on a bus to ride to a TP for 30 minutes, get on another bus to ride to a resort for 30 minutes, and swim in the pool. By the way, the water in this resort's swimming pool has magical healing powers. Of course I should be allowed to pool hop.

How could you forget the "taking kids out of school" debate?:teacher:

My children are in public school and this is a free country. You are not allowed to take your children out of public school in a free country that my tax dollars pay for. I haven't worked in a decade, (cousin Eddie - holding out for management position), but the tax money I would have paid prohibits you from taking your children out of school early.

Multiple ADRs....

What? I make ADR(s) at 6 months out for every character breakfast at WDW for my family of 4. We aren't sure where we want to eat and need to wait 1 day before we make that decision. It's not like other people want to make ADRs, the parks have to be empty when I'm there.

Brazilian tour groups

Don't get me started on illegal immigration. They should never be allowed in the parks. And, how do that many people all find matching t-shirts at the Wal-mart? They should be banned. I paid more for my tickets than they did.

FOr those non-New Yorkers out there, which is most of you. Today is the parade in honor of the Giants down the Canyon of Heroes (Broadway).

I took the Metro-North train from my house into Grand Central Station as I normally do before catching a Subway to my office. The Metro-North train had more than twice its usual ridership with high school and college age kids all decked out in Giants paraphernalia. There were also older people, 20s and 30s, also dressed up.

This brings me to my point/rant. At eight in the morning, on a commuter train, why on earth is there a need to drink? Lord knows, I have had a drink or two in my lifetime. But chugging beer and doing shots from a fifth or a flask on a train at that time of day is just crazy. Nothing good is going to come of that.

Anyway, I skipped the parade and went straight to my office.

ClearScreen

And, since I'm on a roll .... You can't post this here. It can only go on the DISdad rant thread. You are violating Dis, Federal, State, International and Brian's Universe law. No FPs for you on the next trip.

Wow, that was fun.

So has anyone been on the "Backstage Magic" Tour?

It's the one that Starts at EP...then to MK...Lunch at the WL...then onto HS...finishing at AK.

Yes there are several

There is an Alaskan, a pacific coast, Hawaiian, and Mexican Riviera cruises.

Are those as good as lamb fries?

I have no idea. :lmao:

Normally, we wouldn't to address such matters, but in this case - YES! Now, be so distraught that you won't post anymore so I can pass you.

Say What?!?

For the current year yes. But they will be pulling out of the LA / Mexico market next year, moving the ship to Miami instead. Better get planning... and get going! :)

DS' birthday shindig is this Sunday afternoon at Dave & Buster's. Should be fun.

Barry - that was quite the update to your TR! WOW. The Line of Death. Gracious. I could totally see that. Loved Bambi's stance too in the family photo so close to that line. Not something I would have done, but hey, you definitely made memories for the kids!! :rotfl:

Now I'm trying to debate myself (not here - here I'm just sharing) and wondering if you were in my shoes (they're a size 11 1/2, so if that's not your size no need to reply :rotfl: ) - anyway - if you were in my shoes, and had to choose between 2 cool options to sample - which would you choose? 1 would get me close enough to tack on a Disney excursion, but the other is just so cool, steeped in history and definitely is on my bucket list... both are really. Not sure which I'm going to decide upon.

Paris to Normandy River Cruise

Nile River Cruise

So I've started working on our taxes - going as far as I can on my own just to see... before I turn it all over to our accountant. Should be interesting this time around, to say the least.

It got so nice and quiet in here...

I guess everyone else is :laundy: or enjoying dinner with the fam or something...
